"I'm sure all the creatures have taken cover because of the storm-" He assured her as another strong gust of wind blew.
"I am fine for now. It is you I am concerned about,." He eyed thier surroundings carefully, looking for anything that could work as a make-shift shelter. Certainly not a ditch -- if it rained, they'd be flooded. He pushed on a little further up the mountain, ttill he spotted a light. Furrowing a brow, he nosed Bella. "Look."

"I hope you're right..." She took another swift look at their surroundings, before she felt Edward's nudge. Blinking, she turned to look towards the light, cocking her head to the side. "Light, out here, right now?" She furrowed her own brows thoughtfully as she focused on the light. Was there someone else there right now? Looking a little troubled, she nodded towards the light, "Should we go investigate then?" Surely it wouldn't hurt just to take a look. Besides, the sooner they found a shelter, the better.

For a moment Edward mentally battled with telling Bella to stay there while he investigated, or keeping her near by. The battle was soon stalled, for the sound of swishing bushes caught his ears, and he went rigid.
"yall talkin' 'bout the HQ?" A voice suddenly chimed, before hopping out from behind a bush. She was obviously Kitsu, but had much, much, longer ears. "Well?" She tapped her foot, waiting for a responce.

Bella had sucked in a breath, startled by the rustling bushes. Her body tensed as her eyes locked onto the bushes and...
What was that? Her eyebrows shot up in surprise at the sight of the...'rabbit-llama', though this one seemed even more rabbit-like. Her ears gave a little twitch as she silently observed the stranger, before offering a confused blink. "HQ?" She repeated, turning to look at Edward questioningly.

"Yeah, you know! The mountain head quarters! Lotssa Kitsusagi go there!" The lop-earred kitsusagi said with a smug voice. wow, what idiots!
Kitsusagi? So that's what they were? Edward didn't know weather to trust this large-eared 'kitsusagi' or not, however he couldn't help but smirk at the lop's thoughts.
'Idiots? Hardly.'
"Will you take us there?"
"Sheesh, and here I though all Kitsu knew where the HQ was!" She said turning around, silently commiting to leading them to the infamous headquarters.
"The name's Mornin' Glow,' she tossed over her shoulder.

"Kitsu...sagi?" Bella repeated slowly, processing this in her mind. Ah, so these rabbit-llamas actually did have a name. Nodding, he mentally noted this, before frowning almost defensively.
"We're new here, is all. That's why we didn't know anything about the - er - mountain head quarters." Looking up at the sky, her ears flattened a little at the sight of the darkening sky. "It's not far from here, I hope?" She asked, glancing at Edward with worrying eyes.
Her ears twitched a little, before pricking up as the other Kitsusagi gave her name. "Morning Glow, hm? That's a nice name." She commented, thoughtfully. "I'm Isabella Swan. Just Bella is fine, though."

"Yeaaah, Kitsusagi, duh," Mg said over her shoulder. Really, the girl didn't even know what she was! "Jus' follow me. You can call me Glow."
Edward found himself reluctant to follow, however as the wind got stronger, he nudged Bella.
"C'mon. Let's get you somewhere warm,."
"I'm waiting!"

Again, Bella could feel herself become defensive, but he let out a sight a moment after. There was no need to get so worked up now, was there? Of course she would seem odd, being one of these...'Kitsusagi', and yet having not known about the headquarters, and what they were called for that matter. Expelling a sigh, she nodded as Edward nudged her, offering him a small smile. "Mmhm. And lets hurry. It's freezing out here." After a pause, and the call from Morning Glow, she felt a small grimace spread over her maw.
"Well, and our guide is getting a little impatient with us," She sighed, staying near Edward.

"Indeed," He said to Bella, as they started walking. Lukily the yappidy guide they had kept her thoughts to herself, for the more Edward listened in, the more he wished they had just continued on without the lop.
They were going in the right direction anyway. Still, he figurativly bit his tongue, and kept quiet - his expression a firm look of displeasure.
The sooner he had Bella safe and warm, the sooner he could go out and search for answers. About this this world, the Kitsusagi,.why they had been changed,.everything.
He did not like not knowing - it irked him deeply. His first priority, though, was Bella.

Shaking her head as she padded along, Bella's brown eyes flickered to Edward, and she blinked at the look on displeasure that had spread itself over his face. Canting her head, she rose both brows, not knowing whether to smile, or frown. "Edward?" She murmured, loud enough for only him to hear, "Is something wrong? You looks like of..." She paused thoughtfully.
"Ticked off." She commented, before looking fleetingly at the lop who guided them. Oh, how she hoped that they were almost there. There were many things right now that was inserting fear in her, but she hoped she could cross off the 'freezing to death' off that list soon.

Edward shook his head. "It's nothing,." 'Nothing that can be helped, at the moment, that is,..'
There was a light ahead, and soon they reached something of a clearing, where ahead lay a building to looked as if it were built by humans.
'So, this world has human buildings,.' Edward had been fully expecting some sort of large cave. None the less, it was more for Edward to think about.
"Here ya are! The HQ! Go on in, I dun think many Kitsu are here t'night." The lop ploped down beside the steps.
These two truely were peculiar. The way they acted - like they didn't know what they were. The way the golden-eyes male protected the dark-haired female,. Glow gave a huff. "Well, what're you waitin' for! Go on!" The sooner the two got settled in, the sooner she could go on about her business.
Edward nodded. "Yes. Thankyou,." Dispite his dislike of the rather snobbish lop, he gave just the slightest bow of his head.
"Come on, Bella,." He said softly, nudging her gently on ahead, as he took to the steps.

Though her eyes were still concerned, Bella didn't prod further. If there was something wrong, surely Edward with tell her with due time. So, she merely nodded in response to Edward, deciding to push it from her mind for now.
As they arrived at the HQ, the female couldn't help but gape up at the building. Like Edward, she had been expecting something less...modern, and human. Realizing her mouth had been hanging open, she shut it quickly, turning red. Still, as much of a shock it had been to see the building, she was glad that it hadn't been as bad as she imagined (she had been thinking a little shack, or something).
Jumping as the lop's voice broke through her thoughts, Bella grimaced lightly at the other Kitsusagi's impatience, but offered a small smile as she started up the steps with Edward. "Thanks for bringing us here."

"Yeah, yeah, your both just a waste of my time!" the lop said, trotting away from the building, and leaving the two.
Edward pushed open the door, and - always the gentleman - let Bella enter first, following close behind.
To his supprise, it was very clean. There was - of all things - a fire going, pillows on the floor, aswell as blankets. The place was almost empy. Almost.
Lemina, a coppery kitsu with a streak of bright blue in her bangs, and a tail of the same color sat up, wearing a kind, if not tired, smile.
"Greetings. It looks like you came in just in time to avoid the storm--" Just then a loud rumble of thunder sounded.
Well, now this one was certainly pleasant, thoguh he couldn't help feeling somewhat amused as he heard the,..kitsusagi's,..thoughts. She evidentally wasn't accustomed to greeting newcomers.
He put on a pleasant grin. After all, this one was much more pleasant than the big-earred brat that had escorted them here.
"It would seem so."
"My name is Lemina. It's ummm,..nice to see a new face." she said to the two with a greeting nod. "umm,..if you do not mind my saying so,.you both appear,.quite lost. Are you not from around here?"
"Not quite." edward answered. "This is Bella - he motioned toward Bella with an elegant jerk of his head. "My name is Edward." He ws not sure how much information he should divulge to this one. Looks could certainly be decieving, and while he could not detect anythign to worry about in the Kitsu's thoughts, he was not going to take any risk. Not with Bella near by.
edward leaned over and whispered in Bella's ear. "Make yourself comfortable. If it is alright with you, we'll stay here for the night. You need your rest." and then he nuzzled her cheek. "I love you, Bella." 'I'll figure out what happened to us,...'

Bella bit her lip to prevent herself from replying to the lop as she trotted away. Her eyes lingered on the other Kitsusagi for a second before she turned away, slipping into the building.
It was mercifully warm in the building. She closed her eyes for a moment, letting the warmth seep into her. Once she opened her eyes, her gaze fell on yet another Kitsusagi. She smiled at Lemina - she seemed far more polite to them than the lop had been - and opened her mouth to answer. Instead, she was cut off by the loud thunder. Startled, she gave a little jump, her gaze shooting nervously to the windows. She had never been afraid of storms before, but she was obviously a little sensitive today.
Listening to the introductions, Bella quickly nodded her head as Edward introduced her. "It's nice to meet you, Lemina." She said, before pricking up her ears as she caught Edward's whisper.
"Mm, it's fine with me. This will be a nice shelter," She murmured back, before blushing a little, nuzzling him back affectionately. "I love you too, Edward."

Lemina nodded. "Well, welcome. I'll leave you two alone now. If you have any questiongs, feel free to ask." and with that, the freindlier kitsu was gone into another room.
Edward let out a sigh, and went over to lay down in front of the fire that was going. There was no more hiding the turmoil he felt. He blamed himself for this. Who else was there to blame? If Bella had never met him, she could have gone on through life as any normal human girl,.
So, somehow getting turned into this,...'Kitsusagi' thing was his fault, and his responsibility to find a fix for.
It was better, at least, to have bella with him, rather than her alone here, without him, or vice-versa. He would have gone mad.
