It's cut and paste time kiddies!
Ramen Special
1 package ramen soup (I don't care what flavor, throw away the flavor package!) water to boil it with the following: 3 Tbsp soy sauce 1 teaspoon vegetable broth paste (or just use swanson's organic vegetable broth instead of water) 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
When the water boils add the ramen. Wait for it to come to a boil again then add the following: 2 green onions, chopped 1 1/2" long 1/2 carrot, thinly sliced about 6 -7 snow peas, trimmed about 1/2 of a fish cake (kamaboko or the fish roll, optional) 1/4-1/2 block of tofu (depends on how much you like tofu)
Boil for another 3-5 minutes depending on your taste in crispness of veggies and al dente of noodles. Add more soy sauce to taste or if adventurous, chili oil. Enjoy!
Optional veggies include: seaweed (hijiki, dulse, or wakame), napa cabbage, bok choy, spinach, asparagus, let your imagination go wild! just pay attention to cooking times of the thicker and thinner veggies
Note: if using the oriental fish cake/roll they are already cooked. wait until the ramen and veggies are almost done before adding. kind of like letting it warm through.

Gyudon
1/2 lb. (+/-) boneless primerib or ny strip steak, sliced thin 1 medium onion, sliced 1 Tbsp. oil (canola is best)
1/3 cup water 1/3 cup soy sauce 1/3 cup mirin 1/2 tsp. grated ginger 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
Saute the onions in oil, then add the steak when wilted. Saute only for a little while (the steak will still be raw) then add the liquids. You don't want to cook the steak too long or it will get tough. Heat to boil and serve over cooked rice.
