The Velveteen Rabbit. Anyone remember that? I think it was a book and a cartoon and I think I had both.
I read the Velveteen Rabbit. What was with me and watercolour illustrations? That includes the original Winnie the Pooh books. Why did all of those children's books need to have the mandatory melancholy character.
I never did completely understand why "heart" was an element. Love for the environment? General comradery with all living things? What?

I forgot that there was a fundamentalist contingent of lobbyists when we were little too. Heaven forbid that people believe in Aristotelian/medieval occult, or that children be exposed.
The days when we could be ignorant of all it. While watching MTV and old sitcoms.
