 Another slow day in the life of Jack Spicer. ... Well, everyday is slow for him. Back in the Mountain's cabin, he was taking his stress off in a suitable place, toying with machines.
For his own luck, Mythic left one of her fabulous pieces of technology in an area that he could get it, and he was starting to tinker with it. Before long though, he got bored of it and set it down, sliding all of the pieces that had dropped off onto the floor in a pile. "You could be training...", Wuya muttered, bored to tears. Even the Heylin witch couldn't keep up her attitude.."I could..but I won't..", Jack simply responded, a yawn escaping his maw.

There was another who was making his way to the HQ of Mountain, shaking a leaf or two from his fur and flicking his ears and tails to ensure he was free of any other evidence of him prowling about in the forest.
Kaoru Hitachiin nudged the door open easily, stepping inside with the assumption that no one else was there - it was a surprise to him, of course, to come nearly face to face with Jack Spicer. He had seen the other kitsu around before, of course, but had never really found out anything about him other than his name. But, now, here he was, with the stranger kitsu and his strange guardian between him and the kitchen, where he had been hoping to snatch a little something to eat.

Jack's ears flipped up a little, at the sound of another coming through the door to the HQ. He looked over, sniffing in the direction of him curiously. He knew he had seen this one before..just..where? Eh. He shifted himself up, padding quietly over to him, boots clicking as he took his steps.
He might as well try to have some fun today...
Wuya saw his cue for coming up, and she followed him, hoping he wouldn't just..go anywhere, including outside.

Kaoru flicked his own ears, making just a slight face as the other kitsu came over to him, unsure as to what he would want. "Can I help you with something?" he asked, frowning a little both because of nervousness and because of the feeling that he sounded completely stupid. He wouldn't step back as he was tempted to - that would be silly of him to make it seem like he didn't have a backbone.

With a smirk, he decided to be an a** and just put it straight. "Well, today's a boring day, and I haven't seen anyone all day. So, I want someone to talk to, or something."
...Boy, that really didn't come out the way Jack had hoped, but, whatever. He was just trying to get a point out.
"..You know how stupid you just looked, right?", Wuya muttered, rolling her eyes at Jack.

Kaoru paused, looking at Jack blankly for a moment. Then a crooked smile appeared on his face and he snickered a little, eyes narrowing and slanting in a playful manner. "Really now? Are you trying to be sweet, or just fumbling over being rough?" he asked, taking a seat and curling his tails calmly around his feet. It was nice to talk to someone a little more... harmless than most kitsus he had been running into lately.

"I have my off days," Jack muttered, thumping his tails impatiently to the ground. "Try me on another day, and I might be something else," with another yawn, Jack gave himself a light shake, trying to wake up himself.
"...You really must think before you speak..", Wuya growled, shaking her head. "..Seriously.."

"Really? Perhaps a Luck sort of kitsusagi? Or maybe a cute little Cherub?" teased Kaoru, smiling merrily and shifting a little, watching the other kitsusagi with amusement in his golden eyes. "Or, perhaps, are you trying to tell me that you'll be meaner if I came to see you tomorrow morning?"

Eyebrow crooked at his first comment, Jack shook his head, "Yeah..That's what I meant.."
"Uh, besides that..", he muttered, eyes gazing away from him. "You have to agree with me though, today is a boring day!", he nodded to himself, looking back at Kaoru.

Ugh... being playful was just too much work without his brother to back him up. There was no use in trying to maintain the act. Kaoru sighed heavily and flicked his ears, glancing back towards the door. "It is rather boring, yes. Especially since I'm on my own again today," he mumbled, before looking at Jack once more.

"On your own?", Jack asked him, pawing at his own white ears. "So, I guess you share my story? Hehe...I'm giving my best friend a little bit of space before I go room with him. Silly, I could be packing, but..it's hard to pack a whole basement filled with equipment..", he shrugged, shaking his head a little. Jack was always the slow one.. >>
Wuya just..stayed out of the conversation for now.

"Ah." Kaoru nodded, giving Jack a thoughtful look, before smiling crookedly and flicking his tails. "I'm just wandering without my twin, is all. He and I keep near-missing each other lately, so I've been exploring and just waiting for the chance to spend some proper time with him. Has your friend just arrived?" The red-haired kitsu looked curious, ears perking upwards and eyes focusing on Jack.

Jack shrugged, playing around with his goggles on his head. "Either he has, or he's came earlier, and I just haven't noticed until now," he let his paws go back down, sighing, "I'm always last for info, so..I usually don't know."
"Hmm.. That must be weird, being away from someone you've known for so long..", he muttered, scratching his chin.

For a moment, Kaoru's attention was drawn to the goggles, before he returned to the conversation at hand, smiling crookedly at Jack and shrugging slightly. "Eh, I suppose... I'm sort of used to it. We may be the same, but we need our space sometimes. I just hope I get to see him soon, otherwise I fear I may begin to experience some sort of withdrawal."
"At least you know your friend is here now, though, yes?" said the twin, offering a bit brighter smile.

"Yep, and that's all good and well," Jack smirked, nodding. "But, I do know your story. Everyone in my home never leaves me alone to my work. It's one of the reasons I'm trying to move out," with a sigh, he finished that sentence. Eh, story of his life, but, whatever. It's all good for Jack.
