Oh, the world has the joy of today. The Older than Dirt Pokemon Kitsu, Hishigata had been on the prowl. Nor was she particularly happy..

When you live with Jack Spicer, your not really in a great mood. And, she really wasn't at all. Trying to find peace from the pathetic home, she found herself in the forest. Annoyed at it as well, the darn branches pounded at her head. She was about ready to attack them all..oh..she totally was pissed.

And it didn't help that is was light outside, that really just didn't please her. Well, the sun was goign down, so she was becoming better... >>

User ImageThe paths through the darkness were never intended to be manipulated the way he was using them, stretching and skewing as he searched relentlessly through the different planes of reality and lightlessness. Riku would catch the occasional glimmer of life and color where the portals intersected and he was forced to step on physical ground in order to continue on his way, paws connecting with the solid before growing confused on the wispy, inky arteries that wound through the heart of the shadows. He did not know how long he'd been traveling, blindfold alternatively fluttering in a gentle breeze before falling dead against his body in the province of eternal night. All he knew was that he had yet to find who he was seeking, and the frustration was boiling his insides down to nothing.

He finally stopped, but not by choice, panting with his feet planted wide and his vision flickering dangerously as a reminder that he was not built for traversing the dark for an extended period of time. The silver-haired male shook his head to clear it, clenching his teeth and cursing quietly. Nothing. Not a trace of either of them, and he was already exhausted enough to collapse. The strange kitsu, Kitsyn, had mentioned that they might be in the Realm, and he was gradually making his way there, hoping she had not lead him astray purposefully or otherwise.

The forest surroundings were unfamiliar but soothing, a welcome change from the pressing dark as he steadied his breathing and listened for trouble out of mere habit. The birds and the bugs in the sparse grasses had fallen silent, but there was no lack of noise as he heard something that must have been mammoth-sized smashing a path toward him. Riku's ears flicked back, feet adjusting silently while he took a grim stance. If it was something that meant him harm, he was not entirely certain he could fend it off in his current condition, but that did not mean he would play the role of a hapless victim either.

Obviously her pace slowed a bit, when she caught whiff of Riku. She was searching for someone herself, and, had quite the bone to pick with him.

Whatever reason that was, she was willing to wait. Her head stuck out, looking to Riku with quite curious eyes. Blinking for a moment, she let the rest of herself be in his sight. "What a strange one..Power flows through you, but..you look lost," she muttered, lowering her head.

"You look as if..searching for someone." She gave off a smile and held up a paw, "I suggest you drop whoever your trying to look for and just come with me, become a minion, serve under myself and my love and equal. You'd make quite the use to us..", she explained, letting her paw stomp the ground.

"So, what do you say..?"
...Oh, Hishigata, you always have time, even in such a bad mood, to try to get new recruits..

Even the expectation of size had not prepared him for the hulking form that appeared from the treeline, his blindfold obscuring distinct colors and softening a shape that held many sharp edges. But he did not have to see to feel the intensity of the eyes as they fell upon him, his mouth twitching resentfully as he barely kept from baring his teeth outright at the unwelcome company. The initial greeting made him snort internally, aggravation growing for both this unknown creature's keen eye and his own obvious deficiencies in locating those dear to him. Another like Kitsyn then? Someone who knew his intentions without him needing to disclose them? But no, this one felt very unlike she and it had not mentioned their names. Merely a lucky guess, brought about by his lack of subtlety, the tact he'd lost along with so many other things to some swarming bit of darkness.

The half-demand, half-question caused the vagrant to raise his chin, hackles lifting beneath the leather of his jacket even as he kept his features composed. The sheer audacity was rankling, his temper already dangerously frayed by exposure to the gloaming realms within the portals. It was an endeavor not to attack then and there, to draw on his remaining strength and tear the smugness from the other's voice.

"I was a 'minion' once, a long time ago," He replied, and there was a savage undertone to the pleasant way he spoke, one side of his mouth quirking in a manner that was not at all friendly. "I didn't care for it much. So I would suggest that you rethink your enlistment strategy... and walk away." The last words were more instruction than advice, his restraint waning with the sneer of his smile. This brazen creature was delaying him, and the resulting anger from that infraction did not even take into account the grievous insult he'd been paid.
