I was dragged to this movie last night by a few friends of mine who are movie buffs. I saw this movie and I hated it. It was worse then mortal combat Analiation. The movie would have been good as a TV series. It was to short to have been a movie. In the end it left you much to be desired. The acting was ok. The guy who played the Skitafrenic did a good job as such. The actress who played the blind girl wasn't so great.
The main character I believe his name was "Lufus" he did a good job as the main character.
Over all the movie was a good romance movie.
It was advertised and played out like an action/thriller. It was horrable as both of those. Their were no plot twists or turns. And everything was spelled out in black and white. The funniest thing about the movie was how one of the actresses couldn't act at all and was to over dramatic.
The Village was directed by the guy who made; Unbreakable, Signs, The Sixth Sence, and... a few other movies.
My Rating: 2/10

Oh, I posted about this briefly in the Chat Room Thread. sweatdrop
THANK GOD! Someone else who hated it! I just thought it was...stupid. I'm a horror movie FREAK. So, when I saw this, I wanted to throw up all over the people in front of me who kept gasping and saying how scary it was... scream I did like the retarded guys acting ALOT, and although the blind girl's blindness came and went...I did like her acting. She was good at showing emotion, ect. The camera work wasn't the greatest unless they wanted to focus on something, like the creature in the woods. The romance was good. 3nodding
I don't think his name was "Lufus." I think it was "Lucious," but I may be wrong. sweatdrop
Don't even get me started on the advertising for this movie...holy crap. It made out like the creatures were gonna kill everyone in the village and that Lucious would be going out on this adventure in the woods...grr. *Won't spoil*
My Rating---3/10 ((I would go see it just so you don't drive yourself nuts wondering if it really was good, but it won't be!))((The Extra point is for the retarded guy.))

I think the Movie was so bad that people WANTED to like it. There was these chicks beside us that WANTED to be scard. I think the best part about the movie was me saying comentary.
Like in the forest where the monster opens his red cloak to the girl. I yelled "He's Flashing her" good thing she was blind.

WTF do you mean there were no plot twist/turns?? You're telling me you expected... err.. cant say anything. Still, I think it deserves much more credit than you give it. I mean, yeah, the whole, "Those of which we do not speak" and "The bad color" thing was overplayed, and some of the acting could have been replaced, but I still had no idea what was around the corner. I give it a 7/10.
