wolfwood703 Obscurus wolfwood703 To say the least, if the 2o12 prophasy is true then it would be more likely that a polar shift would occur. If the planets would alighn as predicted the it would exert an extreamly huge amount of force throuout the planets of the solar system. This so called force could force the polar shift to happen as well as any number of effects to happen. And this is not to say it is an absolute fact. The bare truth remains that when this occurs, then it could affect any number of planets in any number of ways. So while the possibility exists the absolute part does not. Just imagine it as a grab back. So many possibilites but only so much can be absolute. Although i do have a thread out that poses one theory. It asks the question of "are we headed for a catastophic event on an epic paranormal scale?" I believe , unless it was moved in which I don't think it has, it should be found in the main forum of the guild. I'll post a link in a few mins. I've already done the chart for it and the planets will not be aligned on December 21, 2012. I think that's just some myth that keeps getting perpetuated. Not to say nothing will happen, it's just that barring some kind of unforeseen force moving the planets into alignment, they will not be aligned on that date. And might I ask whear is this chart? by calculation alone, they are going to alighn. It's not some unseen force. It's called planet rotation. duh? As they rotate around the sun they will eventually line up. And the so called "force" is nothing more than gravity. Unless you can provide this chart then im afraid you are SOL. No need to be a smartass. There's your chart. That's the location of the planets on December 21st, 2012 at the given longitude and latitude, which is in Kentucky, United States. The times given are Eastern Standard Time or -5:00 Greenwich Mean Time. You can do the chart yourself for your respective area, but as you can see, there's nothing there that resembles an alignment of all the planets. Planets rotate because of gravity. That's very astute of you. What I was saying was that based on their movement (by gravity alone) they will not "align" on that date. So unless some mysterious force pushes them out of their orbits to make them align, they will not. So there's my chart. Now where are your calculations? Unless you can provide these calculations then I'm afraid *you* are SOL. Next time don't be so quick to be a pretentious little snot.

As far I can remember, our planet will align with the sun to the center of the milky way ... the super massive black hole that's there.
but all planets? I think not.
Dec 21, 2012.
I hope we all evolve. That'd be wicked. ;D

lolol mrgreen never been in a comic before. ok i reviewed you little chart. for the most part i will say your not sol. proof provided. sorry im not a pertencious lil' snot. just like to see proff at times.
otherwise i do see a few miss calculations. perhaps more research may be in order before we can both agree. after all the myans had been extremely smart and highly intelligent when it came to math and astrology. sometimes zodiac charts can be wrong when it comes to planetary alignment. i just saying thanks for the chart, i am now neutral on the subject of the 2012 thing, double check and triple check cause not all charts are accurate and the comic was well done.

I'm not denying the reliability of the Mayans at all, or some kind of alignment. I think the alignment you're talking about has to do with the alignment or our Sun with the center of the Milky Way, from our perspective. I don't think the Mayans mention any kind of planetary alignment, they just mention a date which happens to coincide with the alignment of the Sun with the "Dark Rift", or the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy. If I'm not mistaken, the Mayans treated this Dark Rift as a kind of cosmic egg, so it was a bit of a big deal for them. So to reiterate, I believe in an alignment as well, just not a planetary alignment (especially not one that includes all of the planets in the solar system). Of course, the term "planet" is pretty arbitrary anymore since we apparently have 13 planets in the solar system now.

Honestly...Has anyone thought about this in a stereotypical way? Mayans were Mexicans! Don't ya think that they decided they had done enough and that their descendants would pick up the slack and continue past 2021?
What if they thoguht, "Ay...We've done enough, ese. Let's just leave it....esta bien por ahorita." (it's good for now)

Whenever I think of the world ending, I think of flames and fire... confused Eh.
The whole "aligning with the Milky Way/supermassive black hole" is interesting, though. Maybe enhanced electromagnetic field's? Of course, I'm just thinking of it from a scientific [I think] view. xd
The world will end when the world will end. We may nuke ourselves to oblivion, get sucked in by a passing black hole, and millions of other possibilities. *shrugs*
