When the door ripped away the man was revealed, still standing behind where the door had been. His eyes widened slightly for a moment and then narrowed again. He appeared nonplussed.
"In case slamming the door in your face didn't get the point across then I'll say it direct. No." The man said. "I wasn't going to help you before. And what makes you think I will now that you've ruined my door?"
Sai thought to Stratus.

"Hmph." The old man, Immanuel Bishop, grunted. He looked from the gryphon, to the torn door lying against the fence, to the girl in front of him. "Kaera, hmm?" He glanced between the assorted mages and his torn doorframe again. "So I can blame her for this." He focused his attention on Vilya again. "Well, I suppose a citizen in good standing, such as myself, should do everything he can to get rid of a bunch of trouble making kids like you. Fix my damn door. Then I'll take you brats out of the city." That said he turned about and walked back into his home.

((Interesting method of getting off the floating city, but are we flying? what about the combatants with non-flying creatures?))

Vilya returned to the group with a half smile. "Well at least he agreed to help us. Though the sooner we go the better I'll feel, what a grump! Kaera wasn't kidding."
Tura growled.
Vilya picked the door up and positioned it back onto its frame. With a quick freeze spell she was able to leave it and collect the hinges, repairing them as well and fitting them on the door with another small spell.
She tested her work, opening and closing the door before nodding her satisfaction.
"Remember what I said Tura." Vilya said as she dusted off her hands.
The gryphon grumbled. Tura knelt so Vilya could slip onto her back more easily.
the gryphon added getting back up,
In response Vilya cuffed the gryphon playfully between the ears, "Behave."

((Wha, I'm not sure I understand what happened...oh well. Oh, I don't think Raistlin is coming back. Its just Stratus and Tura...Tura's capacity is one. She'd bite anyone who suggests more lol. Can we get going already?))

Vilya nodded, going to fetch the old man.
"Why don't you guys get ready to leave at the docks, I'll take care of professor smiley in there."
Vilya jumped down from Tura's back and knocked politely on the newly repaired door. "Um, we're all set...and...please don't blame Kaera for this. She couldn't have known that my gryphon would tear down your door..."
Vilya elbowed her companion sharply in the ribs.

((Yeah, I agree with you about Raistlin. So we'll just leave him here. If he ever decides to join back up he can catch up to us then.))

"Yeah, no problem." Sai said. He glanced at Max. "If you need it I think Stratus has room for one more, too."
The three Combatants made their way to the docks. Back to where they started their journey through the sky city, and waited.

"Oh, I'll blame Kaera for whatever I want." Said Immanuel as he walked out of the deeper recesses of the house and back out to the front entryway. "Any excuse to give the old woman a hard time. Anyways, follow me."
Immanuel led the way to the docks as well where he and Vilya met the three boys.
He produced a gem like stone from within his jacket. It was violet in color and perfectly spherical, small enough that he could hold it easily in one hand. He rolled up the sleeve of his jacket to reveal a metal band with swirling engraving in it surrounding a similar, but much smaller, stone. There was a brilliant flash of light and suddenly there was a an enormous eagle standing next to him. The creatures feathers were solid brown-gold in color, other that that and its size it appeared like a normal eagle.
"When we head out this stone will produce a gap in the storm. It's not going to be very big, though, so stay close or you'll get sucked in. If that happens you're as good as dead and don't expect me to mount a rescue. Once we're on the other side you're on your own. Now, mount up."
Immanuel smoothly slid onto his eagles back. Sai, Kin, and Max all managed to squeeze onto Stratus' back.
Stratus thought to Sai.


"Here we go." Immanuel called and he and his eagle kicked off the docks into open air.
Stratus and his passengers were right behind him. The flight approached the edge of the storm wall and the stone in Immanuel's hand suddenly lid up with an inner light. The edge of the wall suddenly indented as they drew closer. The indentation grew the closer they got until as they were reaching what had been the edge they were now at the edge of a perfect half sphere of calm inside the swirling maelstrom. Stratus flew closer to Immanuel as he saw the relatively small dimensions of the sphere, which began to close behind them as they traveled further into it. Stratus found himself flying directly beneath Immanuel's eagle in order to prevent his wingtips from touching the edges of the, now, storm bubble.
They flew on like that for a short while, it was hard to tell time in the roaring swirling mass of the storm, though it could have been as long as 15 minutes. Suddenly the storm before them parted, revealing open sky. They flew out through the expanding opening and emerged into open air, with the land far below them.
Once they were out in the clear Immanuel simply turned about and dove back into the storm without a word. Leaving the four combatants free to go where they wanted.

When Sai and Stratus saw Tura go into her dive they shared a quick mental confirmation and then followed suit. Stratus folded his wings back and dove, nose first, towards the earth.
Stratus had to open his wings and catch the air underneath him in order to not collide with the ground a lot sooner than Tura had. Partly because of his own size, and partly because of the weight of his passengers.
The crimson feathered dragon glided on momentum, following Tura's trail until he came upon the small waterfall oasis. He circled once and then landed next to the ebon gryphon.
Sai rolled down from his partner's back almost before they had finished touching down and stumbled once, disoriented from the rapid descent. He regained his footing quickly, partly using his staff to hold himself.
"Wow. This place is beautiful." Sai said to no one in particular. He then fell right over and stretched out on the ground. "Mmm, comfy."

"Aw, lighten up a little." Vilya responded as she came up behind Kin, cuffing him gently on the shoulder. "Its surrounded by trees, we'll be okay."
She went over to the water's edge, took off her glove and put her hand in the cool water. The ripples sparkled in the sunlight. Tura came over and lapped gingerly at the surface.
the gryphon thought quietly.
"We should get going soon I suppose." She looked mischievously over her shoulder before bringing her hand up to splash Sai and Kin with water.
Laughing she dove behind Tura, putting the gryphon between herself and her two friends.

((I apologize for my horrendous posting delay. The only excuse I have is that it was my anniversary last week, and the wife and I have been out and about constantly. I could have made time to post, I just couldn't seem to get into the mindset for it. But I'm here now, yay! Maybe?...))

"Yeah, don't worry so mu-" Sai was in the middle of saying when Vilya splashed water on him.
Sai glanced down at himself in shock for a moment before his face returned to a calmer expression. He glanced at where Vilya hid behind Tura and grinned.
"So, you want to play, huh?" He said, his grin still in place.
He reached up and undid the clasp of his cloak, and slid out of his jacket in one smooth motion, letting both fall to the ground. He reached back and grabbed the collar of his shirt in one hand, then brought his arm up and over, pulling the shirt off and tossing it atop his cloak and jacket. He kicked both of his boots off, and stood on the ends of his socks to pull them off.
"Alright, here we go." He said and crouched, almost similarly to a running stance.
He leapt up into the air, muttering a "Ventas." as he did to propel himself way up and over, flying through the air and coming down on the opposite side of the female mage and her gryphon. He came down with a tremendous splash into the water of the lake. He couldn't tell from where he had sunk below the surface, but he hoped he had kicked up enough splash to get Vilya a bit.
He rolled over underwater and opened his eyes, gazing up at the brilliant refractions of the sunlight filtering through the crystalline water. He stayed in that position as he floated back up. He broke the surface and took a deep breath, rolled back upright, and glanced at Vilya.
