(i take it that means just downright not normal, cuz Travis' mom is the human parent)
Travis walked into the front room, "Hey mom..."
"Do you remember the promise I made you? The one about... him." Travis' mom asked.
Travis' eyes widened. Now he remembered. A long time ago, his mom had promised to tell him about his dad... so far all he knew was that his parents got divorced when he was too young to remember.

Travis' mom explained to Travis about his father, then left without even seeing how he took the news.
Travis just stared straight ahead, stunned.
(basically, his dad's a vamp, no he doesnt know who his dad is, and yes they did get divorced shortly after Travis was born, thats the short version)

Sangre and the other two huddled up against the wall next to the archway, out of sight of Travis and his mother and listening in with baited breath.
"Yes, rancid..." she breathed to Yuzuki's comment. "Something about her's off... something very deep." She glanced at the other girl. "Do you think she might be..." she didn't want to breathe it. "Mentally unwell?"
And Travis was LIVING with this person?
Then she sucked in a breath.

Yuzuki looked at Sangre then at Hanabi, unsure how much she could say in front of her. "Not sure, but something is definitly wrong."

Hanabi wanted to know. So once his mother left, Hanabi walked over to Travis. "What's wrong?" she asked him.
((And it will continue to happen, again and again! xd ))

Travis' hand raised slowly to his half-fangs as his mind still tried to digest the information. He didn't even seem to notice Hanabi.

Sangre padded forward with bare feet after Hanabi.
"Ah, Hanabi, my dear..." she breathed, unsure. "Maybe we should leave Travis alone for a while - it's obvious whatever just happened impacted him deeply. Let's go play pool or something!"

Travis still didn't seem to notice any of them. He suddenly turned and started quickly walking to the library.
