Amaranth heard what Altair said and took offense to it, but she didn't say anything. Kir's been acting strange ever since he got his mind back. He won't think anything to them anymore.
Then she realized that his connection to her was severed. She found a spot farther away from everyone else and sat down. She seemed to be in shock.

Altair suddenly felt a pang in the back of his head, as if he had done something wrong. he looked and saw Amaranth, who looked to be in shock. "i'll be back" he told Lydia quickly as he calmly walked over to Amaranth. "is there something wrong?" he asked her kindly, having a vague feeling he offended her somehow.

Altair felt the blade that was her tougne slash him a new one with only those few words she said. "Amaranth, if it's something i did or said, please tell me, i don't want any of my friends to be hurt by my actions or speech." he told her solemly, kneeling down, ready to bow in appology.

Amaranth wasn't the one he should have been kneeling to. Heck, why would he kneel to someone like Amaranth? Or Kir for that matter? Even if he's an experiment, he's on such a better level than they were.
"Lydia is so much like Kir that he can't stand seeing her go through the same things. He would more than likely lash out at your crystallis as well," She said, "He thinks like I do. He doesn't want anyone else to have his problem, no matter what the reality is. So don't talk about him like that behind his back," Now her voice had a bit of a threat in it.

Altair felt a wave of shock come through his body. he then bowed down to Amaranth. " i apologise for what i have said. i wasn't thinking, not in the slightest. i repent for what i have done. please, forgive me a little, i may seem like a coward, but i... i .." Altair started to sob a little " i'm really sorry, Amaranth. i see Kir much like you see him, as a brother, and what i did was inexcuseable." he said, looking up at her in teary eyes.

Amaranth began to wonder again the same thing even Kir does: Is this person really an assassin?
She sighed, "It's fine, but please don't try to give people the impression that he has no control of his temper. I don't know what's going on with him anymore, with his wing removed and all, but his telepathic connections have been cut. So he has to rely on his actions a lot more now than before. He must be having a hard time of this. He can't even tell the one he loves the most how much he really cares," She couldn't even imagine how that must feel.

(and sorry, the only time he is like this is when he is off work... which.. has been a while...)
Altair wiped up his tears and regained his composure. "i won't try to, but being human and a guy, i'm going to slip once in a while." he said softly. "also, i'm only like this cause i'm off work." he told her. "and if you wonder why i said that, it's cause i'm a telepath, well, now that is." he explained. he then had his idea come to him again. "hey, would it be ok if i became Kir's voice by using my powers to read his mind??" he asked her.

"You would have to ask Kir," Amaranth said. She figured it would be convenient some times, but he still has his notebook too just in case, "I don't think Lily's going to appreciate you telling her you love her though," She said lightly.

Lily looked down herself again. Even though her pants were still blood, it was much better. She pulled her arms through the sleeves and buttoned the jacket a little. "Thank you," she said to him.
Lydia was slightly relieved when Amaranth took Altair's attention away from her. She sat down, against the wall, happy to remain unnoticed.
