Nix pouted a little, "so what if it looks like me? i happen to like me." she pouted a little but when up to the man to ask how much. he told her it was one gold piece and seventeen silver, which she happily paid before wrapping the figurine in several more layers and putting in it her pocket. "see anything you want, Ipo? it's not fair i get something for Kashi and not you." Leo tried to wipe away the tears with his sleeves, "i'm sorry-i don't know why i'm crying so much." he sniffed softly and tried to get himself under control. he was never this emotional! yes, he cried now and then but never like this! he finally got control of himself and turned back to Elliot. "i'm sorry, let's find something for the other girls. i think you were right about Emily and the tiger, though a mountain lion might be best."

  "No! No I meant no offense!" Ipo exclaimed, holding back from referring to her as 'princess.' They didn't want to attract curious ears and gossiping mouths. "I like you too so Kashi is bound to like it just as much! I'm really sorry I meant no offense." He whined sadly, looking down at his shoes with his ears flopping forward. When asked what he wanted he seemed to perk up almost immediately. "I want nothing more then to see my brother's face when we return! Oh how happy he'll be to see me. I just want to hug him and hear him welcome me home! Oh I can't wait!" he exclaimed, hugging himself and spinning. "Nothing makes me happier than my brother, he is my happiness and my life." Elliot shook his head. "if you must cry then cry, there is nothing to be ashamed of." and held the other with an arm until he stopped, gently shaking his head when the store owner walked toward them, making the woman walk away again. "We have something for our siblings." he pointed out. "What would you like?" and kissed the cheek again softly in comfort, moving stray strands from his face and behind his ear.

Nix shook her head, "no, you get something too! maybe the mirror?" he'd seemed to like it, but then again she still didn't think it a good gift for a boy. "maybe a spy glass! then you can watch your brother from far away, just like a real stalker!" she said teasingly, pointing to a smaller spyglass that could be kept in a coat pocket. "really, pick anything you want, anything at all. i don't care if you end up giving it to Kashi, i just want to give you something too." Leo smiled and shook his head, "i don't need anything. just giving this to Nix, knowing it will be giving her a tiny piece of the home she never was able to have is more than enough." he wiped his face once more and sniffed softly before pulling himself together. "i do hate crying. it's so pathetic. but now we have things for the girls, i think that should be good, right?" he was starting to get a bit of a headache from the crying and possibly dehydration so he sucked on an almond to try and help

"But I don't want anything!" he said, pausing. "Stalker? I'm not a stalker! I love my brother dearly and I just wish him the best in life because he has gone through so much! He has gone through too much and he deserves to be happy!" and pouted, looking at everything before taking the wooden pot off the shelf. "I'll take this." It was simple and dull and could be easily tossed about without breaking. "Our room could use some flowers." he murmured, looking inside of it before holding it out. "I shall buy you something in due time, Leo." he murmured, kissing his cheek again and taking the small music box. "You are beautiful even when you cry. For now, let us buy these, for the girls." He murmured, taking the music box along with the other toys under his arm before helping Leo up. "Shall we rest somewhere or continue on?" he asked, reaching the counter and placing all the toys on it, looking at the Falian curiously.

Nix lifted an eyebrow, "here i am trying to be nice and you keep refusing and whining. that's not veyr gentleman-like Ipo." she winked, but took the pot and bought that as well. "brother might be able to help with that! mother could make plants grow, and they think brother got that abilities from her as well, but he was too young to try when they took him. he understands the earth magics though so maybe." she smiled brightly as they head out of the shop. "what next?" Leo glanced to the front of the store where he sensed Tsume waiting, the wolf having sensed his distress and came running. "maybe i will head back to the carriage. all that crying is making my head hurt." he smiled apollogetically, "Tsume's outside, he can take me if you want to keep shopping? or you can come back to the carriage too, but don't do it just because you think i need company, ok?" he didn't want to impose on Elliot and more, he needed to lay down for a little while and didn't think he could do that with Elliot hovering over him

The hare paused, paling before getting on his hands and knees. "I give my most deepest apologies, Nix, for being incredibly rude and hostile toward you! I shall do my best in the future to be the most perfect gentleman toward you at all times! Please! Whatever punishment you deem fit I am willing to suffer!" But she had paid and was waiting by the door. What next? Standing and dusting himself off he followed. "If not my punishment, I am unsure where you would like to go next. I have never attended the triplets either so I'm quite unfamiliar with what small children enjoy." he explained. Elliot suddenly felt guilty with having wished to shop alone. Now he'd made Leo cry and feel sick, the other having to leave. "I apologize for that." he murmured, giving an apologetic smile in return. "I have a few more things I must get, but you go and rest, I do not want to stress you any further." he gave Leo one final kiss. "I shall pay for these, you go rest. I'll do my best to finish my shopping early, all right?" and Let leo walk out with Tsume, sighing and paying for the toys, taking them in their wrapped boxes and walking out. He needed to go to... that store over there. Glancing back in the direction Leo went he moved and entered the store quickly. This was to be a surprise.

Nix smiled and slid her hand into Ipo's, "well i'm pretty easy to entertain." she looked around, "maybe-" her eyes fell on a candy shop and widened, "ipo-" she whispered, looking up at him, "let's go in there-" she pointed, begging with her eyes to go. Leo smiled and kissed Elliot back, but he took the second bag of nuts with him, "so you wont have as much to carry." he accepted the last kiss and inclined his head, "sorry again." he met Tsume's eyes and knew he couldn't hide his illness from at least one of their party anymore. "not now." he said softly as Tsume took the bags and they made their way back to the carriage. once there, Leo just went inside and lay down on the long bench. his eyes closed and he was almost instantly asleep. Tsume frowned and stood outside of the carriage, holding the bags as if he wasn't exactly sure what to do with them. Leo, his Leo, was sick and in the carriage, but he wanted to be left alone. what annoyed him the most, though, was the fact that he had no idea until now that Leo was ill. his prince had become far too good at hiding things. "henry-" he turned his gaze on the older man, "they bought some treats for the road. where should i put them?"

Ipo held her hand, looking at the stores. "I'm sure there's a play going on somewhere, Loslith is the most- Candy?' and swiveled his head around before grinning. "Let's go!" and happily walked to the store, entering the warm building with the smell of sugar, mint and fruit lingering in the air. "I wish I hadn't gotten a pot but candy. Maybe I could fill my pot with candy." he murmured, quickly snatching his pot and looking at it. "But that's really selfish if I got all the candy for me. Maybe If I took two or three pieces and the rest of the candy filled pot was for Kashi." he eyed the sweet treats longingly, battling his love and his greed. In the end, love won and he browsed. "I wonder what sort of candy would be best for Kashi. Nix! What sort of candy would you like? They even have chocolate, imported from the countries around the equator!" and pointed to the brown candy. Henry looked down from his spot on the luggage rack, readjusting the items on it. "Tsume," he greeted. "Just toss them up here and I'll secure them. Is Miss Lily ill? She hasn't been eating a much as she used to and she's lost some color." and took the back of almonds, indeed tying it down securely before climbing down and landing on the ground once again. "I got some bread and meat from the inn, care to dine with me?" Of course they'd be sitting on the carriage, since Henry knew Elliot would kill either of them for leaving the woman unattended.

Nix was getting a little bit of everything, acting like-well like a child in a candy store. she looked over at Ipo, "hmm, what if you get enough for two pots full and then have one pot for you and one for Kiashi?" chocolate interested her and she went over to look at it. they had small pieces to sample and she carefully put it on her tongue. "by the trees-" she licked her fingers and quickly put chocolate in her growning pile of sweets. soon she had an arm full and walked to the woman who stood behind the counter. she was bigger and looked like she was just a happy person. "all of this and whatever he gets too, please." she said, pulling out her bag of coins. "oh-and something to carry it in? i don't think are arms are big enough for all of it!" she had every kind of candy imaginable, chewy, soft, hard, stretchy, brittle and everything in between. tsume smiled, he reall liked Henry and found he enjoyed the man's company more and more as they traveled together. "sounds good to me. he's eatting, at least i've seen him eat, but he's-i don't know, he feels different. he's been trying to cover up whatever it is that is wrong, but now that i can sense it..." he shook his head, "well, he'll be fine. he's a healer after all. when it the last time you heard of someone with the power to heal dieing of a sickness?" he shrugged and looked towards the carriage, "but it's strange all the same."

 Ipo was going back and forth in confusion. "Two pots! No no no! That's too selfish of me! No, I shall share this pot with my brother!" and started to shove candy inside of it, moving back and forth rapidly as he chose his selections. All too soon the pot was filled and the black ears perked happily, taking it and dumping them onto the counter. Most of the candy he'd chosen was hard, something you had to let dissolve in your mouth and definitely not bite into. There were some chewy pieces, maybe 1/3 of the pot being such candy, but the rest wasn't. Nix's candy was placed in a bag, Ipo's was placed back in the pot with a piece of cloth tied over the opening to prevent any from spilling out. He paid, numbers once again being off, and left. "Once we hit the capital I'll eat these with my brother!" he exclaimed before looking at the sky. "We were in there for a while, and it's getting cold." he murmured. "Stores are still open, want to keep looking around or head back to the inn?" he asked before looking back at Nix. What he didn't see was Nix, though, water, he was underwater, but where? with a small panic he turned to look at the building, seaweed and fish floating around. "Nix." he called, turning around and the image was gone, the small girl thereand the town of Loslith around him. "Why don't we go to that jewelry store over there?" He pointed out, quickly smiling again. Henry took out the food items, handing half of it over to Tsume and sat down on the nearby bench, biting into his own handmade sandwich. "On the way to Falia, he was nervous but still ate. We are heading home and he is eating much less." the man observed, chewing thoughtfully. "Well, if he's still able to walk and eat we shouldn't worry too much. And Healers only die of natural causes." He looked over at the tanned man, taking another bite of his meal. "Why is it strange? What's on your mind, Tsume?"

Nix looked up at Ipo curiously, "you ok? you felt-odd." he eyebrows came down for a moment, but she kept her mind to herself. "sure! maybe i can find something for Leo! i bet he'd like a nice necklace or something like that." she laughed, "maybe we should get him and Elliot matching rings!" Tsume shook his head, "nothing, he just-i don't know. i can sense him, sense his emotions, his body and see if somethign wrong, but though i know something is very, very different about him, it doesn't feel wrong." he took a bite and shook his head, "i'm sure that doesn't make sense." he leaned back, "he's snacking a lot. i've noticed that. he doesn't eat much at meals, but he's almost always eating something small. which is nothing like him." he sighed and ran a hand through his hair, "i'll keep a closer eye on him. he's doing pretty well at keeping it from the others. the only question is do the two of us keep it quiet or do we tell them so we all can keep an eye out?"

"I felt odd? Maybe my hand is cold." he said, moving around the princess and holding her other hand. "Does this feel less odd?" But she agreed to go to the jewelry store. "I've never seen the prince wear any jewelry, this is a fantabulous idea, Nix!" He exclaimed. "They are mates after all, and in NAlenyr it's customary to wear a set of matching rings, but a necklace would be less suspicious, it can easily be hidden under clothes." he mused, moving to grab the handle but the door opened, the servant coming face to face with the prince. "Hello!" He greeted. "Shopping for jewelry?" and dragged the prince back inside along with Nix. "My sister's are turning ten, Ipo. I thought it would be nice to buy them age appropriate jewelry." And tried to move around him only to be caught again. Damn this tall hare. "Nix and I were thinking of buying Miss Lily some jewelry! Want to help?" and he'd trapped the prince, because he knew Elliot couldn't say no. "Something's different but doesn't feel wrong?" Henry questioned, thinking. "And he's snacking a lot but not eating at meals. I've actually noticed that as well, he always seems to be nibbling away at something inside that carriage. At least he's polite enough to not make any messes." Something different but doesn't feel wrong, and snacking a lot. Well that could be a variety of things for women, not for men. How confusing. "I suggest keeping quiet on it. He's already looking ill, and the stress of Elliot and the other's worrying about him might make it worse. For now let's just keep quiet and watch him ourselves." he took another bite. "What use could he have for two pounds of honey-cinnamon roasted almonds?" He had ideas, and they were all for women. What could be wrong with the boy that showed the symptoms of constant snacking, illness at any time of day, and something different about him that doesn't feel wrong. "I wonder what's different but not wrong." Henry was going to beat up his brain trying to figure this out. He was old enough, but what Tsume was explaining did not happen to men.

Nix smiled at Elliot, "how about you help us?" she grabbed his hand and pulled him down while standing on tip toes and whispered, "So we don't get him the same thing you did." she pulled away and winked. no, she hadn't read Elliot's mind. but it wasn't hard to figure out what the other was doing there as well. he might have gotten something for his sisters, but Nix could see in his eyes that wasn't all he'd gotten. Tsume sighed, "i just wonder how long he's been hiding this. it wasn't before he got the Falia, so had to have happened there or on the trip here." he rubbed the back of his neck, "maybe having communed and then leaving the forest is making him ill. could be, it's not impossible i mean. he just might be having withdrawal or something. aren't those almonds suppose to be comfort food?"

"I'm not sure what Leo's preference is in jewelry." He said, trying to escape again until his hand was grabbed. Damn these two! he bent down as his shoulder was nearly yanked from it's socket, listening to her and flushing pink. "I didn't buy him anything." But both the hare and the princess knew he was lying and he sighed in defeat. "What were you looking for?" "A necklace!" Ipo explained. "That's what I think, what were you planning, Nix?" Henry nodded, thinking and going through his memory best he could. "I can't say I know what when on in the forest, but on the trip there he was very nervous, he could hardly eat, so I don't think it was on the way there." The almonds were another story. "If he's craving something, maybe he smelled them. I did pass a stall selling them and they smelled rather good." He admitted, finishing his sandwich. "Perhaps it is a withdrawal." It didn't sound anything like a withdrawal.

Nix thought for a bit, "maybe a bracelet? or a necklace? but we have these-" she touched the woven band beneath her shirt and smiled a little at the feel of the comforting weight. "so maybe not, but then again he might want something he can wear on the outside of his clothes." she browsed around and her eyes fell on a necklace earring set, "oh, they are so pretty!" they were silver with blue gems inlaid into it, "i want these for myself!" she laughed and shook her head, "but a little bit for Leo don't you think?" she moved around a bit more before stopping at a bracelet of similar style, "this he might like." Ludwig yipped at her and she bent down to scratch him, "he likes it too!" Tsume finished his meal and smiled at the older man, "you are right, but i can hope it's that and not something worse." he popped his neck and looked out over the town. "we're going to be staying in an inn tonight, right? maybe i should take him there and call a doctor before the others get back...but then-he's not sick." he ran both hands through his hair, letting out a long breath of air in one explosive rush, "by the trees! this is driving me mad! where he a woman i'd thing-but know. it's not possible." to make such a thing happen would take a lot of magic, far more than any one person in Falia possessed. buit maybe a collective-still, that wasn't possible. Leo would have known that the magic was being worked on him and Tsume would have too.
