(how much of that should we just assume didn't happen? i'm going to assume that airi never showed up and i was just talking to yamatano still, btw i'm all cloaked and what not so you wouldn't really know who i am)

(are ur byakugan activated? because that was the only way i would assume you could see my chakra and recognize me, that's what i was getting at anyway... you know what nvm it doesn't really matter)
Kane turned to the all to familiar voice, and a small smile spread unseen across his face. Kane took a few steps toward his old friend and then allowed an electric current to flow through his body focusing it in his arm. "It's been a long time, Coren."

Coren's tails swished back and forth, he knew it was his old squad mate, but something seemed... different about him. "Yea... et has." He looked over him closely, pausing for a moment before he wiped out a keg from his pocket, placing it on the ground and looking at Kane,"Beer?"

Kane looked down at the guard for a moment then raised his eyes once more so that he was looking Coren in the eye, Kane could tell that his friend had gotten stronger, that his chakra seemed... stronger, but he wasn't sure how unless... "Tell me Coren", Kane said as he began walking slowly toward his old friend, "have you grown while I was away?" Kane's grip tightened on his blade as he slowly moved his right hand towards the hilt, his movements hidden underneath his cloak.

Coren placed his hand atop his head, his hair much longer then their last meeting. Many of the scruffy locks had fallen around his face, and his once smooth cheeks were covered in what could only be described as rutty red-brown fur. He thought for a moment, "Of course! Six inches atleast!", he knew what Kane meant and could see he was preparing to do something under neath that cloak, but didn't feel like seeing what it was as with Kane, he'd see soon enough.

Kane allowed himself a small laugh, there's Coren always ready to crack a joke. Then Kane tensed his legs as he sprang forward, seeming almost like a blur, and then he was behind Coren, the blunt of his blade at Coren's throat. "Show me Coren, show me how conflict has made you stronger!", Kane all but shouted, the excitement of battle affecting his emotions so much so that he could feel his control of the Rokubi slipping.
A purple haze began to creep into the deep scarlet of his sharingan, three bars of what seemed like purple mist protruding from his three tomoe into the iris of his eye. His nails grew slightly longer and sharper, resembling claws. His canines became elongated and sharp until they were more like fangs than teeth.

Coren giggled a bit,"Oh come on? Is that really how you greet your kage?" Coren's chraka coated his fingers and neck as he moved the blade away, his fur seemed to grow and his voice changed,"There is no need to be so brash!" Coren's mist seemed to explode from his body as he disappeared into the mist. It seemed different than Kane remembered, it seemed to blacker than d**k Cheney's soul and was far warming. This mist was almost scalding, easily causing Kane to begin to sweat.

Kage?! Kane thought to himself, have i really missed that much while I was away? Kane quickly turned and dashed out of the mist and then jumped into a tree, so that he was now standing at the very top of it."What do you mean Kage, old friend? Lord Tares was the Kage of Grass last time I checked."

Coren voice echoed through the field,"No one has seen or heard from Tares in the longest time... It was not my wish to undermine is power, nor take his job from him: the safety this village has been lacking as of late and the council felt it necessary to find a replacement." The haze began to roll up toward the tip of Kane's tree. "I have no idea where you've been, but you've been gone alot longer than I think you realize."

Kane staired down into the mist then looked back up at his friend, "so you are my new Kage", it was not a question, but more of an acceptance. Kane bowed his head and said "forgive me... Lord Kusakage."

Coren appeared right before Kane, giving him a big old hug (in which he warpped his legs around your waist). His voice had gone back to normal and his red-brown fur had receded back to it's normal amount of scruff. "Don't be so formal your fine!" He shifted his weight, causing them both to fall from the tree.

Kane's eyes grew wide in surprise as he began to fall, "God Damn It Coren!" he shouted as he tried to wriggle his way out of the hug.
