Halfuo took the kick to the left side without flinching. Heck, he hardly felt it painwise. And with a simple movement of his arm/elbow towards Halfuo's body, Laz's foot was now stuck at Halfuo's side. Being held in place by the arm and side, Halfuo stood there. Waiting to see what would Laz's next movement would be in this kind of position.

Monseiru X Lazenca shot his foot up, thigh level at waist height. Notice how he was telegraphing the hell out of this? The sounds, as if he were attacking? All of Halfuo's expectation of attack and readiness to defend was just a part of the plan. There was no pain the hardly feel. There was no attack. Only the feint that his opponent blindly fell into.
The actual attack, which came when Halfuo moved to trap a foot that he expected, was Lazenca's body straightening to the side as his high leg shot not forward, but up so that the heel of his foot and his opponent's nose got to know each other a little better.
A blind man was dependant on sound. Then... Lazenca was going to shut down any trust for that sense.

((Can you explain it a little better since halfuo is turned around? Back basically perpendicular to you. Also, the whole trapping thing would have come after the foot have hit the side if it wasn't a feint. So if there is no touch, there is no trap attempt.))

A blind fighter didn't rely just on sound, but rather movement as well. A blind person had to pay attention to his environment a lot more than one who could see. If there is a foreign movement, he had to adjust accordingly or possibly face consequences from it.
So, Laz's bodily movements gave away his true attack. Halfuo stepped backwards some, right foot going towards Laz a bit and tilted his head some so that the heel would come to hit quite near the point at his neck and shoulder met.
Going with the momentum of the stepping back, Halfuo's left elbow shot towards Laz's stomach.

How could a blind fighter rely on movement when he couldn't see it happening? How could he gauge a touch that hadn't landed yet? How was he able to tell that Lazenca wasn't attacking-- though it damn well sounded like he was and Laz made most of the movements-- and when he was-- which required almost no sound and movement, since Laz was already in that position?
Didn't matter. Stepping through the missing/sliding attack, Laz would end up turned around, side by side with the blind man on his left... with this motion, he was able to twist his body in such a way that while Halfuo felt his elbow connect, he also felt it slide away... just the way the kick was. Rolling with it, and all. There was only an inch apart from them, and the completion of the kick had his hands where they initially were once more.

(( question question question Let me lay down what is going on for ya from my post. Your heel landed on his right shoulder (sorta). Spot where his neck and shoulder meet, but let's go with his shoulder. Halfuo did not make a sliding attack. He simply stepped backwards a bit. His right leg moving some towards you. No attack made or anything via the leg.
So going with that. You are essentially sliding your foot off his body and spinning to his left? No other action made. Granted I haven't fought here in months, but I am trying my hardest to follow your post"al" movements.))

[you didn't say which way your head tilted, so i picked a direction. which is why lazenca went to his left instead of right, and all that works. the 'sliding' attack meant that it slid off... the elbow attack was there and connected with the right side, but with twisting bodies, it rolled off.
you can either pick a side that you rolled your head/body too- confirm that you're moving left, which would put laz's leg at your char's right shoulder and such, or keep the post as is, and post your next action. totally up to you.
edit: i'm going to sleep. i'll check in after waking up and all.]

themightyjello ...his ears were ringing, the greaves burned, and his neck was sore... but Vahn would still get the worst of it. Joshua shot off with his left leg, lurching to the right even as he gripped the right greave with every ounce of strength left in that arm. His entirely body swung, and Vahn would swing with it, clockwise, and rolling to his own left so that the ground would be coming into view shortly before he found himself falling facefirst into it. However, Joshua's right foot swung out to his side to stop his body from continuing in that direction; a sharp jolt as he put everything he had into forcing himself in the other direction... snapping back his left arm as hard as he could with it. His grip would remain firm, somehow even aided by the fact that it would take a noticable display of effort to even separate his hand from the searing heat of the Ifrit Greaves at this point. And, as Vahn's body would be twisting to the left with all of his weight behind it, Joshua would force his ankle to twist to the right. If this opponent even had a style for just using two legs, then they would soon see if he had a style for just using one. Joshua grinned despite the pain, even as his burns tore open and bled freshly with the fierce movements he made, and he waited to hear that snap of a tendon to come from either Vahn's ankle, or his knee. The greaves at this point were nearly as hot as Vahn's Fang, at over 1000 degrees of heat now; and still climbing. (Would that be joules, or some crap? I don't know. Their hot, really friggin' hot now. I don't wanan give numbers because I don't know that kind of stuff. Think past melting point of iron, hot. Would your hand(s) burn off? I don't know, up to you.) The amount of force beign exerted on his body forced him around and around, then suddenly in the opposite direction. (I also don't know if snapping the ankle/leg wold be plausible because he's wearing the greaves... I wouldn't know how to prove that or unprove it... so again, if you say it happens, then I'll believe you and go along with it.) Yellowed eyes snapped wide, even as the burning pain within his tendons was felt, shooting up his body and jarring his brain. An inhuman cry echoed out, even as the flames continued to increase; mostly from instinct. Because of the increase of heat, whether or not Joshua was riding the adrelaneline rish, he would be forced to let go (or at least hopefully) if he didn't want to risk having his limbs scorched black and useless. With that, Vahn would be tossed a bit off to the side, straight through chunks and piles of flaming debris.

Vahn Kyonuske Would your hand(s) burn off? I don't know, up to you.) (( With partial fire resistance, and that he would only be holding on for about 2 seconds ideally, it'd be some pretty severe burns, but nothing like turning to ash in an instant. )) Vahn (I also don't know if snapping the ankle/leg wold be plausible because he's wearing the greaves... I wouldn't know how to prove that or unprove it... so again, if you say it happens, then I'll believe you and go along with it.) (( Damn, I did forget about the greaves being what they are. Probably not all too much leeway to twist a foot from side to side in those, no? For reference, it's a twisting injury... a twisted/sprained ankle, not necessarilly broken, was what I was going for. Though generally, it's a common sports injury with football and soccer. The idea was that the body was twisting one way, and the leg was twisting the other way, it would put a lot of strain on the ankle and knee joints since the ankle can get really ******** up if it goes too far, and the knee isn't supposed to twist. It's up to you on the recieving end, though. )) Vahn Because of the increase of heat, whether or not Joshua was riding the adrelaneline rish, he would be forced to let go (or at least hopefully) if he didn't want to risk having his limbs scorched black and useless. Joshua let go as soon as Vahn's momentum began to carry him away. He held on long enough to twist the leg as far as he reasonably could, before stepping back, away from the heat and the flames. It couldn't be heard above Vahn's beastial yell, but the slight tug that Vahn might have felt before he fell to the floor was the skin of Joshua's hand peeling off; still attached to the sole of Vahn's left greave. The wound bled terribly, even as Joshua clutched his left hand in a fist so that he could focus on that pain, above any other that he felt then. The black blood oozed between his fingers and seemed to coat the entirity of that already charred-black hand that, like Icarus, had dared to touch the sun. " Hnn... heheh... kehehe..." He was in a half crouch, right elbow resting upon his knee, his left forearm resting upon the other; a pool of blood slowly forming between his feet as it ran across his knuckles. His ears rang from the blow to his head, his eyes were irritated from the smoke given off by his own burning flesh, and every inch of exposed skin on his body had at least a second-degree burn. But he was laughing.

"Iiya-- iiya--- !"
The debris shifted, even as several pieces of burnt wood and broken stone slid away, revealing a heavily bloodstained face and yellowed eyes.
"You're strong... real strong. I'll give you that much."
His chest heaved as he lay there, the faint sensation of pain running up and down his arms, as well as his lower back. He couldn't feel anything in his leg though... apparently that last move had cost him dearly...
"I'm no good."
A breath, following soft laughter right along Joshua's.
"...If I stay the way I am now... I won't be any good..."
Vahn had been able to keep up with the speed of Joshua's attacks for the most part. Even so far as to alter the path of his flight in mid-air... Vahn had unbelievable physical ability.
But even he had his limits.
He was still mortal.
"...After I was defeated by Samuel & Ezekiel... I started thinking about it..." More rubble shifted as he began leaning his body forward, veins standing out as he strained against the pain. "If there are any more strong guys like them in the path ahead of me, then I have to be stronger... Because otherwise I can't protect my friends...!!"
He pushed himself to a standing position, his left foot planted on solid ground.
"...I have friends who're not strong... But I still want them to be with me..!!" His eyes stared fiercely forward, even as he was hunched forward, blood dripping down the side of his face.
"So, I have to be stronger than anybody else... Or I'll lose them all!!!"
His head lowered then, even as the muscles on his body began quivering; shaking uncontrollably.
"Ive thought of a way to fight with all my might...so I won't lose anybody...!!" His teeth gritted, even as the ground underneath his single standing leg cracked and splintered. "So I won't ever have to lose anybody...not even myself."
Smoke began to rise off his body, even as the temperature near him heated up, yet never went aflame. His skin took on a darker tone, his muscles standing out.
SHU SHU SHU
Within his body something was happening...changing...as if imitating a steam engine.
SHU SHU
He opened his mouth, letting out great streams of steam and smoke, even as the pits of his eyes began to turn black.
SHU SHU
"You won't be able to follow me any more... all of my techniques..will evolve one step."
SHUUUUU SHHUUUUUU
The knuckles of his right hand touched upon the ground as he crouched on his left leg, the strain easing off his body as a red hot flame seemed to be infused within his very flesh and blood.
"COUNTER...MODE."
Vahn's head lifted up, even as he stared towards Joshua. The feeling of numbness in his body was fading, and he could once again feel both his arms.
"I... I'm glad I met you here."
He reared back his left arm, even as he began focusing the amount of heat necessary. He grinned, even as he lowered his head.
"One...Inch..."

"Geh... heh... You have my pity..." Joshua picked his head up, the skin of his face blackened from flames and streaked with sweat that ran down to his chin. Past the scattered veil of sweat-soaked, singed hair, Joshua met Vahn's yellowed stare with his own, black as the ash that was filling the air around Vahn. The intensity in that burned face, even as Joshua fought against his own body in order to keep himself standing, was every bit a match for his opponent's resolve. "Men... call them devils... demons... evil. Destruction following behind them, made by the ones that chase after. " I'm looking in a mirror."I, too, have friends that I must protect. Because... because they are close to me! Because my enemies endanger them! Because I am strong my existence makes trouble! But I can't die... not yet... for the sake of my brothers, I can't die..." Joshua's right elbow slipped from where it had dug into his knee for support, and his arm dropped down to his side behind him; the ulna fractured midway. His left hand tightened the fist that it made, squeezing another flow of inky black blood from between the fingers to run across his kuckles; the skin of his hand burned, and the palm all but gone. He pushed off with his left forearm, straightening his posture and standing upright again, with his left shoulder towards Vahn; his body exhausted and burned. "I dream sometimes... that I could be ordinary. To have a normal life. To not know that there are forces at work to end it... "I'm grateful to you." As a last droplet of blood fell from Joshua's hand, it struck the puddle between his feet and bounced with the sharp click of two solid objects connecting. Bringing his left foot forwards in a quick stomp, the puddle lifted off from the ground an inch as a hardened disc, and he promptly slid the toe of his boot under the edge of it. His left fist, the kuckles, the fingers, almost everything up to the wrist was covered in the same almost metalic shell. "Thanks to your idle talking, I had some time to build up my ki." He brought his left arm up again, beside him, with that metalic fist held proudly between the two fighters. His body ached, but pain was a part of life... he had the energy to move his body, and the will to see this fight to the end. Abilities Used Steel Skins Releasing the magical energy dormant in the character's blood, any amount of shed blood that is directed to will transmute into a very hard, steel-like substance until the spell is released. Slight direction can be given to the shape that is formed, but nothing complex. The amount of time used to shape is the delay.

Somewhere, somehow, someone, for some reason said "Be", and he was!
BAM! Dash , no, LORD SMASHINGTON, no, "Oku[ra]" is there, his arms hanging limply at his side, and his head bowed. There's this creepy smile on his face, and his aura forms a hazy green cloud at feet. The periodic pulse of that same green energy shoots up his body like electrical bolts.
As the intensity of this aura raises steadily, he waits for his opponent to show...
IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GRAND CANYON!
Or, what looks like the Grand Canyon. There are rock formations, mountains, cliffs, and various other features just waiting for someone to smash through them.

-cue heavy rock music-
Oh his opponent would show alright, desending down into the depths of their battlefield. Katsudon's aura would strike the ground before he did, making a small crater beneath him as he landed. His blackish-red aura would grow before declining to a little bit.
He narrowed his eyes, dramatic close up in effect. His overly used dark, deep, anime voice speaking forth.
"Im Katsudon b***h...lets rock."

A single brown eye would peer through the strands of black hair fanning over the man's face.
"I don't need to know who you are. YOU only need to know... ME! And no one..."
The ground at his feet begins to tremor violently. Cracks spread from beneath him, causing the terrain to shift and jut upwards.
"...calls Okura..."
The wild green aura grows ever steadily, transitioning from a cloud to outright "flames" as it flows from his feet to his head before dissipating into the air.
"A b***h!!!!!!!"
He explodes towards Katsudon, leaving a huge crater where he once stood. His right hand is cocked back and his aura trails behind him.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
He attacks with a vicious punch aimed at Katsudon's face.
