((You're hardly making things better David. He was going to have the power dissappear and Alan black out of something, but apparently he was in a bad mood and your post in the OOC made him pissier.))

Rivven cursed in surprise as the object dropped, pulling his arm up in front of himself. The water expanded, and pulsed with the energy, powerfully cohering it to other water molecules, forming a thick membrane, stongly placed in front of him and about him, the chakra making it into a formidable protection. He did try to move backward, but the explosive went off almost at once. Flames licked over the shield, and pushed it bacward toward him, bending the membrane, hissing as it ate away and evaporated even the magically fortified liquid. Flames licked over Rivven and he was knocked backward, rolling the the dirt, mud, and water, putting him out, but leaving him still burnt and battered. Slamming his elbow into the ground, Rivven forced himself to his feet, wiping blood away from his forehead where it seeped down into one eye, and coughing up more onto the earth. Well, it seemed his entire outfit was casualty of the battle, even his faithful, durable old coat seemed destroyed more or less. Trying to clear his head, he cursed and looked about, trying to get fully on guard quickly with pain pounding on his skull with giant sized hammers.

Gaerdes licked the blood off his jaws, sucking it from between the teeth and off the corpse, letting it fall to the earth as well. Thrusting the wings out in all directions, it spread it's arms, and the purple circle marks appeared beneath it as well. In absolute silence, the creature spread it's wings, and dissappeared in a burst of white feathers and black mist, the circle dissappearing from beneath slowly, glow fading to nothing. His work was done, and his price paid.

After his little bombarding tactic failed, Jay would see his allies charge in. Over to the side he'd seen multiple dopplegangers of his sister fighting off one enemy. Joining the fray himself, he nimbly jumped down the hill and sprinted the short distance to the inn. His eyes quickly darted from target to target. Fischig was here. As was the woman who had cornered him when he was trying to rescue ultima. They seemed to be getting a run for their money, so he targeted the soldier who had just thrown a frag grenade and had just began to dash to the left. Amidst the chaos, Jay still had his running start and left his feet, aiming a kick to the man's head area. It wasn't meant to do any serious damage, but just enough to prevent the man from running further, to possibly knock him down, and to allow his sister to complete the kill.

Joscelin having finished with Alan looked at the new commer. Eye him with idle interest he drifted over to him. "I suppose you are another of the heathens. If you repent now you may be excepted into the bossom of God and live in eternal peace with him in heaven."

Effortlessly Ava shot the two explosive projectiles before they got to close to her. Jumping backwards as she hit them, there explosion pushing her even farther back and landing on the ground behind the perch. The other metal projectiles could be heard within the explosion as they hit each other. A fulfilling twang as shredded metal flew around in the air but hit no one. Ava grinned, it was satisfying to fight this girl.

Seeing her laugh as the man was struck by her attack he smiled back, amused at her antics, "No great love between you two." Deaden of emotion his voice was flat and his guard was up as she rushed towards him. Holding his sword one handed tilted foward and to his left with the pommel at hip level. "Then meet me in battle." he yelled back at her.

Jay would arise, growling as Morgan laughed at his misfortune, knowing that sooner or later he'd have his moment to laugh at her. He looked over to the man the remaining kasumi was fighting. The others seemed to go to the roof...a smart move. He then looked to the man who addressed him (Joscelin), and then gave a small smirk. "An interesting proposition, but I'm afraid I'll have to decline" He reached over and pulled out the kunai that Kas had thrown before; it had lodged itself in one of the support beams to the inn. At least he was armed now, and it seemed that every soldier had a fighter assigned to them, so things seemed to be in their favor. "As soon as your master dies, your operation will follow"

Rivven watched the two women dissappear out of the corner of his eye, and Jay was facing off with one of the remaining soldiers, leaving Morgan to fight the man with a part of an arm missing, notably not wearing his helmet, so he was probably someone of importance in the group, and the man standing behind him as backup. So when she kills him there is a guy ready to take a cheap shot? That hardly seems fair. Rivven thought with a grim humor, forcing himself to ignore the pain as he pieced large portions more of the chakra together, coursing through his body and making it all that much more acute. Everything grew sharper, he could even feel the water in the area so well it might as well have been a part of his body. His eyes faded as he looked at Walter, turning from the pale blue to a reflective golden color, and the pupils grew to long slits, the black marks matching to those inked on in the revival ceremony and long since washed away appeared again, twisting about his flesh, and he felt stranger and stranger every moment, but it was giving him the strength to ignore the pain completely for the time, and feel the water better.

And apparantely, Walter hadn't fired since the water fell, as his gun still had a fair deal in it. Concentrating on the second part of his spell, he twisted the water about inside the gun, discreetly shifting it from the durable barrel and other parts to the more delacite mechanisms away from where the firing went on, and putting his hands together to make sure he kept the right focus, froze the water solid. Which would stop him completely from firing if not destroy the rifle. Rivven took off at a run toward him, though his more badly injured leg nearly buckled on the first step before it grew accustome to the abuse, and gave the other fights going on a wide girth. No battle cry, alerting his opponent any ealrier than need be would be foolish, he pumped the water still about his one arm to near solidity with magic energy, preparing himself to defend if the man had a side arm.
