Atari offered another coy smile and nodded shyly, his eyes examining Esca's features so he could better understand the confusion in her voice. My momma is a goddess, and my daddy is too. He paused for a moment before he frowned, his ears drooping sadly. Do you not wanna be my friend anymore because of it?

"What! No, no no," she waved her hands in front of her a little. "I'm not saying that. It just, caught me by surprise a little!" She smiled. "Of course I want to be your friend! You're nice, and sweet, and a very interesting person." She nodded, and blinked, thinking that might have sounded a little silly.

Okay! Atari couldn't help but let out a giggle as he moved to hug Esca again. He felt a little sheepish, but having a friend was still a very new feeling for him. He started off towards the woods, leading Esca along with him. I don't like bees either...he offered, blushing as he looked to her. So if you see any, don't tell me, kay? he requested, his blush growing.

Escarelia smiled, and then hugged her arms, shivering. Not from being cold, but at the thought of bees. "I don't muich care for bees. Don't worry, if I see any, I'll tell you before I start running myself!" It was somewhat of a joke really, at least the running part.

Atari laughed softly and nodded to Esca, glad that they could see better in this section of the woods. He shifted towards the ground, crouching to peer under a little shrub. You look on the bush, and i'll look under it! he purred, curious as to what little critters they could find in this area.

"Allrighty!" Escarelia said happily, leaning over the bush, hadns folded behind her back as she peered around it. "Ah!" She reached out of her hand and pulled it back, a small catterpillar crawling around on her palm. "I found a baby butterfly!"

A baby butterfly? Atari asked, peering up slowly thinking a small winged critter would be in her hand. Ohhh, I forgot. he laughed softly, remembering that even he'd said not all bugs looked the same throughout their lives. Wanna keep it in our collection, and watch it grow?

"Mmm hmm!" Escarelia said with a nod, smiling. "I used to do that when I was little. And then, my mom and I would release them in a park, and they would fly away and I would chase them until I had to go home!" She smiled, plucking a leaf and putting it on her hand, watching as the catterpillar began to munch on it.

Oooh - That sounds magical! Atari purred, his tail swishing lightly in thought of how it'd feel to watch something grow then set it free, and watch it strive. But can we keep our flutterbies?

"I guess we could! I mean, as long as they have lots of flowers and other butterflies to be around, I think they'd be happy!" She nodded with a smile, and held the bug out a little, still in her hand. "Do you want to name him? Or her?"

hmn...Yes! But..What happens if we name them and then they bundle up and we forget which is which? Atari asked, examining the little 'pilar that seemed quite content with it's leaf in Esca's hand.

We could wait til they grow into butterflies before we name them? Then we could tell them apart! His tail wiggled happily as he looked to Esca, but then he paused and covered his mouth, his emerald eyes widening. I said 'tell' and not 'tear', right? he whimpered, blushing so terribly it made his lavender tone visibly darker.

Atari still blushed horribly as he peered into the bush too. Usually there's lots of 'pilars all in one place...Before I came here, I was climbing in a tree in my momma's husband's gardens, and I knocked a groups of them onto my momma...She squealed and ran away, and I felt bad, but...there was lots of them together. he told her, nodding.
