Ness wasn't normally a numa given to ideas and beliefs of romance and that sort of thing. She always believed they were just made up notions of numas who wanted to make whatever feelings they had seem dramatic and more special then they ought. For even as much as she thought that, the moment was still incredibly romantic. The pull and magic of romance was still doing its work on her whether she would be willing to give it the proper due.
Ness just loved cuddling, nuzzling, and kissing. She had been wanting to play kissy face a lot recently; but for some reason, it just wasn't working out. For whatever reason, most of the boys she tried to approach just brushed her off. As her impulses started to prompt her to bask him in affection without a thought to stop or wonder if it was ok... and, he was returning it to her. He wasn't rejecting it.
Ness opened her eyes a tad, grinned a smile, and licked at him some more. She then decided to try something. She slid her tongue along the underside of his. She also found that she was rather enjoying this. Did he enjoy it too?

Now THAT was an unusual sensation. Twilight's eyes shot open to confirm that yes, Ness was... licking his tongue? But as weird as it sounded, he liked it. It was new, different, but intensely physical, which was something he could get into.
Pulling closer to Ness, he twined his tail around hers and licked her tongue, as well as the side of her mouth. While it didn't exactly stimulate him, the physical sensation was enough to send him to the moon. Part of him thought he was already there.

Every hair on her body stood up, and then she nuzzled his neck as she hugged him. She left her tail twined with his. Her head laid on his shoulder, sighing with contentment and the kind of sigh people make after a great meal.
"I'm getting sleepy I think. Would I be totally ruining your night if I wanted to go to bed?" She was still leaning on his shoulder, just staring into his gray fur. Her wings spreading and twitching.
Deep within the recesses of her mind, little things were happening. Walls she put up around herself were starting to crumble all on their own. It was subtle, that she hardly noticed. A part of her that refused to recognize a need to be loved and the joy that came with the feelings of being loved.

Twilight shivered, his chills having nothing to do with the weather. It was as if a sizzle of electricity raced down his spine; Ness's touch electrified him. It enticed him, made him want to get closer still... but she was tiring, he could tell. The fact that she said so meant that she must be more exhausted than he'd thought.
"Not at all," he replied, petting the top of her head. "We need to rest, sometimes, if only to prepare for the next diversion. Would you like me to take you home?"
He wouldn't sleep for a while. Even if he'd wanted to, Twilight knew that he was too awake to do anything restful until he'd gotten rid of his extra energy. But he acknowledged her need to rest, and accepted it. Something told him that this was the only the beginning of their party.

Ness just nodded sheepishly, feeling a tad embarrassed she didn't last till dawn like she had hoped she would. "Yeah. That would be great... I mean.. If you wanted to that is. Were you gonna hang out at my house while i was asleep? You can.. I don't mind. I trust you with my things if I'm not there to watch you..."
She then released herself from holding onto him starting to swim away to land, shaking herself off as she got there. She looked a little nervous. She certainly felt a little off to repeatedly ask him to stick around. He didn't have to if he didn't want to. Why would he want to be at her house if she was asleep? That'd be perfectly boring.

At the first word, Twilight nodded. Of course he didn't mind, he was the one who made the offer in the first place. He would have carried her to shore as well, but before he had a chance, Ness had swam off on her own. Shaking his head- who could really understand girls?- he counted to five, giving her a chance to get herself together, before going after her.
Once he reached the riverbank, Twilight shook himself out. "I'd... be happy to," he started slowly, awkwardly. "But there's something I have to take care of." Normally he wouldn't have minded shirking a responsibility or two, but this was important. "I'll be back later, if you like! We could... pick up where we left off?"
Would she mind? Ness had to be feeling a bit lonely, with her human away. But there was something else he had to do, and Twilight wanted to please everyone. Especially himself!

Ness smiled. "Yeah. That's fine. I suppose..."
She waited for him. She thought to herself. Deep down, she didn't wanna see him go, but she would look forward to him coming back. What was really on her mind.. the thought that it mattered to her so much of him leaving at all. Normally, she didn't worry about that kind of thing. She just wanted to spend time with him. She wanted him around her. She wondered why she couldn't think of anything else.
Deep deep down inside. Her heart was stirring; her subconscious wanted to answer. Part of her mind waivered as she felt a prickling of fear and apprehension. At the same time, she felt excited and hopeful. She found herself feeling slightly disoriented with all these emotions. Were things like that real? She wasn't sure if it was wise or ok to trust in these types of thoughts yet.
