Irene gave a puzzled look. "You were born with them?" 'Like a mutation?' She thought. But the word neko struck familiarity. "Wait, so your not human?"

Linka nodded, showing that she wouldn't harm anyone. Secretly, she wasn't that kind of person. She only acted tough so she could make it through in the world.
When the neko spoke to her about her being something else, she stared blankly at her. "What? What do I look like? I'm human of course!" A pang entered through her body and she twitched slightly. Her dragon wings needed to be stretched. She wasn't used to being a human. She'd spent such a long time being a dragon, she was used to being able to stretch her wings.

Irene sighed and plopped onto the hard ground. Then she took both hands and put them over her face and shook her head. "Alright, I'm confused." Irene put her hands down and looked at the neko. "So... You're not human. You're a neko. Right, next thing I know you'll be telling me magic is real." 'Like my father did.' Irene thought.

Kaori tilted her head as she heard the girl say she was human,'But why does she have a strange scent then?'Kaori asked herself.
She then looked at the other girl and was confused,'Has she never been here before or something. Of course magic is real.' Kaori closed her eyes and opened her palm making a small ice crystal appear,"Of course magic is real.Where have you been? Kaori dropped the crystal and enguled it in a dark aura then shattered it.

Irene looked at wat the neko did, then shook her head. "No. No,no,no,no... Magic... Can't be real." Irene tried to wake herself up, but nothing was working. "No, then... My mom and dad... And that man and... Oh, I'm so confused."

Kaori was confused at how the girl acted she had never met anyone that didn't know what magic was. Kaori sat beside her on the ground and let her tail sway as she tried to think of where she could have come from where they didn't teach the magical lessons,"I'm sorry that this is confusing, but may I ask where you came from?"Kaori asked her ears perked ready fro an answer.

Irene was at a vunerable time, so she answered. "About a two day walk from here. It's a place isolated from nearly the rest of the world, and my dad was a magician. His name was Eric, but most people called him Harry. My mom acted as his assistant. That's the only magic I've ever been exposed to, and the only living thing I've ever seen was humans, plants and animals... I thought all the other creatures dad talked about were just stories. The whole town thought so too."

Kaori was so confused as to why a town would block themselves from the forest,"Why were they doing such a thing?"Kaori asked interested in this new village, and remember Lady Mizu was most likelly looking for her right now. She would only stay aliltle bit longer and then go back.

Plumes of smoke and flame consumed the sky in a sudden explosion. More followed, and soon the sky was but of ash.
"Haha! God, Fen, I'm having so much fun!"
A wolf howl was heard in response.
A winged creature stood in the midst of the chaos, about 6 feet in hight, and of lean build. Two wings sprouted from his shoulders, one white, one black. An evil smile toyed with his features, his emerald eyes gleaming in the firelight.
"Hahaha..." The sadistic laughter continued. "What now, Fen?"
The wolf panted, and yipped marrily.
"Alright, human it is!" The angel's wings folded to his back, and then were consumed by it, dissapearing, only leaving two scars.
"Aah. Well, Fen, should we put on the 'I'm-so-terrified look for anyone that decides to check this out?"
"Woof!"
"Righto!"
The angel cowered against a half burning tree, punching it with the back of his fist to make a log fall.
A whine came from Fen, a quizzical whine.
"It adds to the drama, Fen! Come on, someone'll be bound to find us, I smelt, and if I did I KNOW you did, a group nearby. Maybe we can join there little... Troupe?"
"Ruff!"

Irene heard a large commotion nearby. "What the hell?!" Irene looked to the others, assuming they would either follow or whatever, and Irene ran to the scene. She looked at the chaos. "What happened here?!" Her first thought was the man with the same last name, but she knew she couldn't be that lucky in finding her parent's killer.

The angel smiled, but quickly went into 'Desperation' mode.
"Help!" Cough, Cough. "I'm over here!"
"Yip, yip,yip!" Fen was jumping, acting frantic and whining, trying to get past the log. The angel was crunched against the burning tree, waving his hand, but covering his mouth up with the other.
"Help!" Cough, cough.

Kaori ran after the girl and the commotion and saw a man under a log with..."A wolf."Kaori bared her fangs a soft growl escaping her lips.
Kaori kept her guard up as she sniffed the air, filled with fumes of ash and flames. She flattened her ears as she sensed that this just didn't seem right, but let that go as she slowly approached the man.
