Ieshia let out a breath of relief, smiling at her friend. That was better. Her tail wagged energeticly as Whisper ate, feeling more fulfilled then she had in a long while. Secretly, she had been extremely worried she wouldn't be able to help her friend...but luckily she had.

At the suggestion of resting Ieshia gave a nod, "That sounds really nice..." A rest would do her good...especially since she hadn't truely done so in a long time. "Lead the way, Whisper?"

Whisper nodded towards her red friend, licking the remaining bits and splashes of blood and meat from her maw. Once she was satisfied that she was clean enough, she nodded again then took a few paces forward. She stopped once, to look back at her friends and motion with her tail. "This way," the omega said in a soft voice, a smile on her face. Then she turned and walked easily into the forest, knowing that her friends would follow.

(( Okay... um... Kobi and Ary, you two can post having Vitus and Ieshia follow, but for the most part this RP is over, I think. XP ))

Ieshia followed behind, keeping up rather well despite her tiredness and limp. She was sure to keep an eye on Vitus and give him an encouraging smile or two as they went.

(( Ah...yeah I'm done. xD Couldn't even come up with a good closing post. ))

((Wheee! XD Thanks for wrapping up guys-- *shoves Kouji in with Tomoyo* The time skip needs to be about a month X3;; was the least amount of time I could pass off as believable for Kouji's trek home. Hope it's okay.))

Days melded to weeks, and before he realized it four of them had flown by.

Two figures, one estranged and the other completely unfamiliar, made their way up the path and in through the entrance to the packlands. Whoever was posted as sentry would surely scent them coming, as the cave always carried in the scents of those approaching, especially on breezy days like today.

Blue and red, both with stark white markings, side by side they walked. Kouji carried himself with a bit of a limp and his body was marred with bites and claw marks. He'd literally had to fight off his father's pack to get his mother out of there, but in the end his father spared their lives, perhaps out of some form of disgusted pity, or perhaps some part of his heart that hadn't yet rejected them. Whatever the case, they were free to go but were forever banished from those lands they once called home. Any visits hereafter would be one way trips.

They padded on in silence, with the cherry coated female looking to her son in the dark every so often in concern. He just continued to reassure her that he'd be fine, that he'd rest once they were within the safety of the pack's lands. Tomoyo just had to be satisfied with that for now.

Before too long the light at the end of the tunnel came clear, the packlands were just ahead. After a month of unexplained absence, finally Kouji was home, and with a new member that hopefully the pack would welcome openly.

~It's such a sight for sore eyes.~ He sighed tiredly, weary eyes taking in the lands. Despite the falling leaves it was still as stunning as that summer's day they came across it. His mother seemed to agree, giving a whine of awestruck wonder.

(( Hm.. no one really is, but I can have Helaku posted there for now? At least until someone else decides to drop by or whatever. XP And Whisper can be there because Helaku will be all worried about her and want to keep an eye on her and what not... >>; ))

Sleeping... dozing... side by side were the forms of Helaku and Whisper. The male had been on sentry duty for goodness knows how long, and the female had decided to stick around to keep him company while the rest of the pack did whatever they wanted. Of course, he had also wanted to keep an eye on the once-withering She to make sure she didn't try and hurt herself any more than she already had.

Luckily, though, she had begun to eat normally and regularly and gain weight. She was finally feeling refreshed, energized, and happy. But there was still that empty spot left by the absence of Kouji and Fute... would they ever return? Whisp felt like a mother whose pups had been taken away by humans. Day by day she searched even though she knew they were gone... but there was still that little bit of hope that they might be alive and well, and on their way back home.

For Fute, it seemed like it wasn't going to happen. Yet for Kouji...

Suddenly Yellow's nose twitched, a familliar and an unfamilliar scent wafted into his nose and caused him to wake up immediately and lift his head. Sharp eyes glanced in the direction of the tunnel which led into the packlands. Approaching wolves... those scents...

One was vaguely familiar but still hard to put a scent to name and name to face. The other was just completely foreign. A slight growl rose from his throat. The omega didn't seem to notice. Helaku didn't much mind; she needed the rest.

A moment later the male was on his paws, padding softly and silently towards the entrance. Right when he was about to grumble and growl and ask who was there, the not-so-familiar-yet-familliar scent was suddenly recognizable. "Kouji?" he asked. Now, he had never really met the other male before, but scent was the strongest sense tied to memory.

"Who do you have with you?" The tone was cautious yet friendly and curious. The smell of dried blood was in the air, and it made Laku sick.

His mother hesitated and hung back a bit, not wanting to intrude before she could be introduced as friend and not foe-- but her son gave her a look of reassurance before he stepped out into view.

"Helaku,"

He recognized the scent as that belonging to the adopted brother of the she-wolf that was at one point leading the pack. Helaku, a yellow male with an aimable enough countenance that seemed to match Kouji's own, but he hadn't ever really talked to the male much before he disappeared. He wondered then just how much Suzaku told everyone, if she simply said that he'd had to leave for something, or if she thought he was coming back. He'd been in quite the state when he spoke to the phoenix.

"My mother, I've, brought back my mother."

He seemed to smile wearily at this, happy to bring such news, but tired to show for both the physical and emotional strain. He scented Whisper from around the stench of his own blood and the others, and without knowing it a happy whine emitted almost loudly from his throat. He'd come to really regret leaving her without notice, and wondered now if it was really as wise as he'd deemed it back then. He had no idea that Fute was gone without trace either or he surely would've spoken up.

"I'm sorry I left without telling you all personally. I didn't want to risk anyone following."

It wasn't the safest of trips after all.

Finally Tomoyo stepped forward. She paused beside Kouji, lowering her tail andbowing her head down and forward towards Helaku to show she was no threat, ears flattening for a moment. "My son has told me much about your pack, my name is Tomoyo."

The yellow male acknowledged Kouji immediately and competely when he spoke. It was indeed him, but what had happened? He had noticed the absence of the other but never really found out if anyone knew exactly where he had gone or what he had left to do. Now, looking at his tired body, it seemed whatever he went to do had dealt a great blow to him.

Curious, but knowing that it wasn't his place to ask, Laku just smiled to Kouji and his mother. She seemed like a graceful figure despite her age. She was beautiful and serene. Tomoyo seemed a great addition to the pack.

"It's a pleasure, Tomoyo. I am Helaku." He nodded then bowed, showing respect to her. He had no real power in the pack and she was his elder. Then he turned back towards the azure male. "As long as your safe, I'm sure no one will mind." Well, he hoped no one would... Whisper would probably the one who would be the most upset. But then again, she was also kind and understanding. Hm... best just wait and see.

"Whisper and I were taking a nap," he began, his tone now casual. "Your scent awoke me but obviously not Whisp. She... eh... needs the rest and is probably in a deeper sleep. Shall I wake her and tell her that you are back? She had been terribly worried..." Yellow's voice trailed off.

There was no need to reveal the female's deadly habits during his absence now... perhaps it would be revealed later by the omega herself.

"Leave her be, Laku, the sleep will do her good...and I expect she'll want to catch up and there for will not get much sleep after she is woken," came Ieshia's call as she suddenly trotted into view. Her coat was shining red again, clean and healthy, that of a wolf who is strong and well off. The wound on her flank was a red, half covered scab that no longer bothered her.

Her jaws spread into a grin as she stopped before the other two. Her posture was high, easy going, and confident. She remembered Kouji, though she had only met him once. She was pretty good with scents and faces...and well just others in general. "You've been missed Kouji...by many."

Her golden gaze shifted to Tomoyo and she gave a graceful dip of her head in respect, bringing herself back up with a smile, "It's nice to meet you Tomoyo...I'm Ieshia...since I only arrived after your son left I do not believe you would have heard of me."

Kouji was about to respond, when Ieshia arrived on the scene. He had met this female once briefly while she spoke to Whisper, he could recall. As much as he worried now, and wanted to let her know that he was home again safely.... Ieshia was right. She needed her rest if she was sleeping so soundly. She hadn't been in the healthiest state even before he left, though then it had been something that was improving since the healing of her leg. His golden eyes weren't blind, though. He could see that she was thinner than when he'd left, and it worried him. Fute was probably the one that kept her going.

"Yes, she should rest." He agreed with a lower of his ears. Turning respectful eyes to the others again, he allowed a small smile. "I'm sorry to have worried you all."

Tomoyo let Kouji speak, but when she was addressed by both, she smiled. It was such a change of pace for her to be welcomed into a pack again instead of ignored and looked down upon, as she had become in her mate's lands.

"It is a pleasure to meet you both, Helaku and Ieshia."

In the far distance a shadow lurked, Suzaku, keeping out of sight just yet in favor of watching the situation unfold. She seemed to be drinking in every detail, but then just smiled and headed back into the forest. She'd wait until things settled down to speak to them. Kouji looked like he needed rest himself, and surely after their month long trek they'd want to settle down.

The yellow male nodded in understanding as Ieshia suddenly appeared. He hadn't spoken with her all that much, but from what he had learned of her, she had the potential to be a great leader. A kind heart yet a strong sense of determination... they seemed to be perfect for this pack.

Yet he didn't say anything of his thoughts, instead becoming the shadow he had become accustomed to. On their way into the lands, he had been Suza's shadow, his worry for his sister taking a new level, yet not one that was extreme and where he kept her from doing absolutely everything. No, he wasn't like that. Laku had just been there more as insurance in case anything happened.

"Yes, I suppose so," he said, finally coming out of his thoughts. After that he turned to look at the sleeping green form not too far away from the group of wolves. The scent of his sister wasn't noticable at this point, the wind having been blowing the wrong way.

Whisper, having still been asleep, randomly curled up tighter. She had gained some weight, but was still pretty skinny with not much fat on her bones. Her fur had been thin to begin with, so when the wind blew a little to strongly, it affected her and sent a chill down her spine.

That one chill was enough to wake her up. Yet, she didn't move, only tightened a little more. The omega was oblvious of course, because she didn't notice the absence of Helaku, nor the voices at this point.

But if one were to look at her, they could probably tell she was awake from the change in her breathing and the flicking of her ears.

"Why don't you all sit down and wait for her to wake? Rest is something you should welcome, I think," Ieshia told them with a friendly grin. She remembered her travels to the pack lands and it had been tough.

She was quick to note Kouji's wounds as well and, being the kind of wolf she was, decided to offer her help, "Those look rather nasty, Kouji...do you need any help cleaning them? Or perhaps I could get you something to eat, since hunting with those is quite the hassle, I know." After all...had she not just gone through similar problems not long ago?

Kouji was surprised by Ieshia's offer to hunt for him. It had been a long time since he was unable to do for himself, but in this state it truely would be impossible at best. He looked a little humbled by this kind gesture, and instantly his modesty kicked up. It wouldn't allow him to ask her to do something like that for him.

"I couldn't ask you to do that."

Tomoyo agreed to Ieshia's suggestion, meanwhile, but upon her eyes spotting Whisper she became curiously concerned. She slipped closer to the green female and settled down to lie next to her, noticing it was a bit chilly. She'd get to know the others while this young wolf came around.

The day was growing older and the wind a bit chillier, Laku noted. This would prove a problem for the green omega who was supposedly still asleep. Through the last month, she had been having problems sleeping because the cold would always wake her up. It was a shame she had such a thin coat.

A small frown came upon his features, but it quickly faded as the red female slipped closer and seemed to share her body heat. So kind... that frown on Yellow's face turned into a smile. Afterwards, when he was sure Whisp would be fine with Tomoyo, he looked back towards Kouji and Ieshia.

"I could also help hunt." There was nothing else he could do right now anyways... unless someone wanted him to stay on sentry duty. He could do that too. Whatever the yellow male was expected to do, he'd do it.

Whisp, just like Suza's brother, had noticed the wind becoming colder and colder. Great... now she would just shiver and freeze the whole night, just as she had been doing for goodness knows how long. And indeed she was right, for her body suddenly began to shake, the bit of muscle that she had trying to rub against each other to keep herself warm.

It had proved successful, for a sudden warmth came over her... oh, wait... that wasn't herself keeping warm, that was another wolf laying next to her!

Immediately, upon learning that a strange wolf was so close to her, a green head shot up and her body shook again. Golden orbs traveled to those of Tomoyo, Kouji's mother though the omega didn't know that. But there was a sort of motherly and kind nature that showed through, which instantly allowed her to relax.

A small, weak, smile came across her maw as she rested her head back on the ground, her tail going back to cover her cold nose. And, despite Tomoyo's body heat, Whisper's body began to shiver in the cold. It was obvious she was still in a bad condition.

"You don't have to ask, you just have to say yes," Ieshia replied simply. She glanced at Laku and gave him a warm smile, "That would be great...can you bring something back for Whisper too?" She really loved Laku's help and how willing he was to do what was needed...sometimes she felt he needed a little freedom and fun though...something he didn't seem to give himself. Her ears twitched slightly and she turned her attention back to Kouji. "It's fine...really...It'd be better we get those cleaned as soon as possible...and two work faster then one...or you could rest and I could do it, either way would work well for you, I think."

Tomoyo offered Whisper a small, motherly smile that seemed to want to encourage the omega to relax and rely on the others for a while.

Kouji's ears twitched to flatten to his head in a show of sheepish gratitude. It was difficult for him to accept help, but especially from a female-- not because he thought less of them, but because he felt it was too much like being taken care of, rather than helped. The boy had a few minor confidence issues. XD

He seemed to struggle with his words for a moment, but then gave a heartfelt show of gratitude.

"Thank you, Ieshia."

"Meanwhile, I don't mean to interrupt, but this young one is awake. I believe it should be alright to get her into the warmth of a den, now?"

Tomoyo spoke in a soft voice with soft blue eyes locked on Ieshia-- as if asking --lowering her tone in light of the more dominant female in their presence. Something about the way Ieshia carried herself sang out "Alpha" to Tomoyo, and she had no problem respecting those that were respectful and to be respected.
