Star waited for Demetrius to go. She released her magic from over his head, he was going inside so he wouldn't need it. She wondered if he could go inside. Well the only way to find out was to let him try.

((You would have to ask Captain Waffles. She created this roleplay.. and usually decided who was allowed in through the door.))

((CAPTAIN WAFFLES IS HERE!!!
Okay, so, you're completely neutral, Demetrius? In that case, it'll let you in. But let's make this a bit interesting.))
The bear's eyes flashed as Demetrius stepped to the door. It was not the usual flash of recognition, but rather a flash with a bit of a glare in it. The knocker seemed to be studying him. At last, the door clicked, as if a door was unlocking, but instead of the door opening, the bear's mouth opened and the knocker began speaking. "I grant you acess, stranger, but be warned." It began in a deep voice. "Only the pure of heart can remain in this place. Should your heart ever be defiled, the ones in this place will no longer call you friend, and you will no longer be welcome here." The bear promptly returned to its still form and the door swung open.
((Yeah. I know it was pretty corny. But I had to put something there. And it's late so I'm not in a "really cool bear knocker quote" sort of mindframe.))

Avatre nodded her head,"Be warned also on what you may find... shadows hide the real danger, and we must hope for the best of my companions."

Star looked at Demetrius. She nodded her head at him ever so slightly. It was the best approval he could manage to get so far, from her.

((Okay, sweet, I'll post now. Cheesy door knocker but cool nonetheless.))
Demetrius' eyebrow quirked slightly and he looked up as suddenly it was no longer raining on him. It was still raining everywhere else, mind you, but no longer on him. He was grateful but also a little wary. Had his irritation been that apparent? Well, he assumed one of his new companions was responsible for it and so he lowered his gaze to Avatre as she spoke. He listened and inclined his head when she was finished. "Fair enough." Was all he said, before those rather forbidding words left her lips. Well, he might as well get it over with. Fixing his gaze on the very curious door knocker he walked towards it, noticing that it was raining on him again. Well, he'd hopefully be inside soon so it wouldn't matter.
Stepping in front of the door, Demetrius stopped and waited. He noticed the flash in the bear's eyes, though wasn't sure what normally happened so he remained calm and impassive as it appeared to study him. There was a click and then the door knocker was speaking to him. An eyebrow quirked again but he'd seen stranger things. At the admonition, he considered it, storing it away as he did with most information he received. He wondered if that was the usual welcome or not but then the door swung open and gratefully, he stepped in out of the rain, a puddle immediately forming around him from his sopping clothes. He glanced around at what he could see of the structure. This castle only got stranger as things progressed...
Turning his head, he regarded Avatre once more. "There can always be danger in the shadows though they sometimes serve a better purpose as well. But I shall heed your warning and I thank you for it." The voice was calm, cool and collected as it had always been, unchanged from his words of before. That said, he wiped a gloved hand through soaking hair, dragging it back so it stayed out of his eyes then glanced down at his clothes.
"Is there a place I could change? Or at least, where I could dry my clothes?" Thank god he was out of that blasted rain. The panther in him hated it and all he wanted for the moment was to be warm and dry.

Archaedus appeared from a hallway to Demetrius' right. "Welcome, stranger. I am Archaedus. I daresay you'd like to dry yourself off." He pointed to the third doorway on the left down the entrance hallway. "You should be able to find something that fits you out of the clothing selection in that hallway...you are about the same build as James. Just lay your wet clothes before the fire to dry, and once you are changed, we can proceed with formalities."
Arianna peered from behind Archaedus' shoulder at the sopping wet stranger.

Avatre came forward, shaking water from her long curls.
"Excuse me Archaedus... for disappering into the shadows. I was weary of the approaching stranger, and thought a sentry may be smart. How goes things on the inside?"

No sooner had he spoken than a man appeared to his right, with the answer to his question as well. He regarded the man calmly and the girl who was peering over his shoulder at him. He nodded in response to the statement, though still studying them. He made it a point never to forget a face. When you lived a prudent life, that was the way things had to be.
"I would indeed. A pleasure meeting you. My name is Demetrius." Once again, he gave a somewhat courtly bow at his introduction, voice soft and the height of politeness. Once he straightened, he followed the point to the doorway and nodded once more. "I thank you." He then strode towards the way, closing the door behind him once he had found the room. It never pleased him to take someone else's clothing but he was willing to do practically anything to be warm and dry, even wear someone else's clothes.
In a few minutes he'd stripped out of his wet clothes, gloves, boots and all. He lay them by the fire as instructed and climbed into some new clothing, breeches and tunic of a dark brown colour as well as a sturdy pair of boots that were only a little too small. They would have to do for now, even if they were not a perfect fit. Before he left the room he belted his sword on once more and extracted a ring from his wet cloak. He closed it in his fist for a moment, feeling the familiar edges pressed against his palm before emitting a very slight sigh and dropping it into a belt pouch. That would never leave his person. Feeling much better now that he was dry, he left the room once more and strode out to where the others waited.
"I thank you for the hospitality, Sir. I intend to remain only until the rain stops, if it pleases you." It was announced confidently, speaking to Archaedus and he was not deferential, more so respectful. He seemed the master of this...interesting structure and so he would treat him as such.

Username: Biological_warfare Character Name: Kent Age: 21 Good/bad: ummm I'd go with good Special powers: Extremely strong mental defenses and earth abilities. He can also wield air, fire, and water and has some mental attacks but they are as weak as his other powers are strong. Background: Lestaunian Personality: He is mostly emotionless but he likes to make friends. Other: He had a normal childhood until he was sixteen. Someone he loved very intensely had fallen ill of a very strange disease. She didn't have the spiritual strength to fight it. So Kent somehow managed to infuse his soul into her through his love. With the combined strength of the two souls, she won her battle with the disease. However, she refused to give back his soul, thinking he had poisoned her so that he could save her and have her love him. He left his home, soulless. He has been wandering since, his emotions have become increasingly dull so that only strong emotions broke through. Even though he had no soul, he was still inherently good, helping others with what he has left. He found that he was mostly defenseless without the soul and his mind was easily impressionable to mind attacks. He therefore concentrated on mental defenses and earth. He also has an earth staff that is solid diamond at the core.
((I'm not sure if you'll accept this but I'll be willing to change it.
I mostly thought of this as an interesting case. Since the bear looks into the soul to find out its intent, how will it respond to no soul? Also, I'm going to guess that the building will probably be invisible to him due to aforementioned reasons as a precautionary.
Also, the element time stop thing, is that only opposite elements or just different elements?))
