Z'fer

Z'fer snorted in disgust once firelizards were mentioned. Not for the reason the rest of the Wingleaders and rider's present might have suspected though. "Don't count on mine. I've got a green that might be able to do it but my black is a stomach with wings. Worthless for anything other than cleaning a plate." He turned as Brakiath's odd voice echoed in his mind. A quick glance to Abigail revealed the Weyrwoman to still be frozen in place looking dead on her feet.

Looks like things were left to them. With the Weyrwoman betweened in her own mind and the Weyrleader MIA, their little council of leaders were the one's calling the shots. He could feel Calanoth shuffling as the dragons reorganized per Brakiath's orders. Sudden alarm and pain rang from his dragon. ~ Cal what is it?!~

Calanoth snarled and swiped at a nearby blue. In the excitement and flurry of dragons both running and flying the blue had accidentally trod on Calanoth's threadscored tail. ~ What's your step!~ The bronze growled at the offending dragon. To his rider he huffed. ~ Dimglow wasn't looking where he was going. Stepped on my tail. ~ Ichor dribbled from the split wounds, offending the prideful dragon. How humiliating that this was the first ichor spilt in the battle.

S’kor/Scarath

It had the makings of a fine party. His hopes that it would stay that way were quickly dashed. Surprised flashed between rider and dragon. S'kor straightened up as a man staggered in amongst the party goers. His attention was dragged away by a growling sound. The presence of the felines so close surprised him, despite the Turns he'd lived here. Keep watch Scarath.

I'm coming. Scarath's tone brooked no argument. The large dragon was within sight in a matter of moments. Wounds or no wounds; he wasn't letting His face this alone. He hissed and mantled his wings; the bronze joined the outer ring to protect people. Scarath planted himself with no intention of letting anyone pass.

A scent reached him over the overpowering smells of food, blood, and fear. Scarath ran his tongue over his muzzle, but couldn't pin down the scent.

Optheli/Dynith

One moment everything was good, then it all went crazy! She firmly calmed the green when she started to croon. No one was after her. A shove from behind startled her, but it was Dynith pushing her toward the rings of dragons and people.

Dynith crooned for her rider's safety as felines went through the group. The green was determined to get Hers to safety if nothing else. She joined some of the other dragons in the smaller ring. She didn’t want to leave Hers on the ground, but how could she doubt the bronze, silver, brown, and crimson protection? The dark green swooped up into the air.

She didn't see anything out of the ordinary as the scanned the jungle below her.

Wykla/Kameth To Ralae/others

What is going on? Wykla turned from the tables to view people milling around. It amazed her how people could lose their heads so quickly. She tried to keep her breathing slow as a trickle of cold sweat went down her back. What was going on? She nodded at Kameth’s warning.

Mine, Brakiath has warned of trouble. Do take care. Kameth was sitting alertly at the edge of the party. He blinked slowly as Zaybreth asked for His to meet Hers. Mine, Zaybreth’s wishes you. With His safely part of a group, Kameth took the skies. This was his element. He peered closely down.

That was a bit of a surprise. She nodded and went to find her friend. Wykla moved through the crowd as Kameth directed. Hearing the call for firelizards, she decided to call in some of hers. No more than 3-4 of the beasts, except her whole fair decided to come. The ones that were called, plus the greens who didn’t want to be left out of the excitement, plus all the others who if the greens went they could come too! With all of them flying over her head, she was quite obvious.

“Wykla reporting!”

Kameth glided. With his wings stilled he could hear much further. What came to him oh those winds was a scream. It was familiar and full of anger. The blue tried to orientate on it and let out a bellow. Fire! Fire in the Weyr

F’law/Zurith

F’law figured he wouldn't be any help and kept himself safely out of the way.

Zurith roared at the shapes as they fled with their prize. When the order came he took off. He was not the first see it, but the blue set up a warning as well.

Dizzian

She knew they weren't all bad, that maybe her fear was irrational, but shards could you blame her? Especially with such a vicious looking beast. As for Wingleader Kleos, Dizzian didn't know the rider and she was from the same weyr as Z'fer. Dizzian didn't exactly like her best friend's new beau and if that's what Malvren Wingleaders were made of she was leery of meeting another.

Courath could not see anything past the colorful horde of wings filling the sky. Her own stretched out and she was tempted to follow her green sisters into the air. Her own lack of experience held her back though.

Relys/Relysk

If there was one time in his life that he wished he’d brought Relysk along, this would be it. True the wher was terrified of felines, but he could be coaxed to defend if needed. This was the time for action. Relys moved out of the protective circle of riders and dragons. At the edge of the jungle he called his wher. He didn’t want the wher just showing up and scaring people.

Relysk heard the commotion. He raised his head and sniffed. At the mental call he pushed the door to his wagon open and trotted out. Quickly he joined his handler with a croon.

Hand resting on his wher’s head, Relys turned and walked back briskly to the aborted party. Loudly he called, “we’re here to help.”

Freia and Freiask

They didn't go to the party. Not this time at least. The gold wher was not the social type and the older woman didn't want to be out in the open, not after the nightmare hit her again. Talking out loud to Freiask, "You would think after all these turns, I wouldn't have them anymore. Come on, girl, lets see what we have going on today for us." The two traveled along the coverings, checking to make sure things were being done correctly and everything was clean.

Before long, Freiask took off with no warning. It wasn't like her to rush off and Freia was hot on her tail, literately. Rounding a curve, the woman saw the unmistakable sight of felines and the gold. With a scream she rushed at them, helping the wher chase them off. As they ran, Freia spotted meat hanging out of their mouths, curious as to why they would do that. Running towards the Hatching Grounds, Freiask froze as the sound of tunnel snake. She turned to look, seeing the destruction and braved the low light outside to get into the opening. The gold shook her head, how could that be here? Clicking at her bonded, the wove their way towards the party, searching for someone to tell what was going on.

Narisa and Cepheith
[Staying at the party
Command Ability Usage: 1 ]

Her tail still thrashed and she huffed, having to be stuck here. But alas, being a large dragon did have its disadvantages. Yours made a wise decision. Cepheith assured her Bronze friend, sighing and brushing her nose against his neck. Mine would probably have done the same where she there. And I completely understand that frustration. She grumbled, wings mantling slightly before settling back against her back.

Tone still slightly irritated, she attempted to soften it as she spoke to Moriath again. Thank you. Please tell yours to stay safe as well. Mine will be worried.

Speaking of Hers... Mine, hurry to Brakiaths' side. Pipith, I leave mine to you and yours for the time being. She trusted them after all. They would not allow anything to happen to Hers.

I'm going as quickly as possible.

Having similar thoughts to Set'al, Narisa wasn't sure if having all of their 'important' rider's clustered together in one place was a great idea, but she didn't know what else to do! She kept by her friend's side, even after finally arriving with the gathered group around Abigail. But one look at her Weyrwoman had Narisa feeling a small bit of panic. Shaffit! She'd... well she'd been heavily depending on Abigail's ability to lead them.

Hand tightening around Set'al's, Narisa looked from face to face, grim gaze falling on Kindra even as Brakiath made her response. What was it she'd said to the Bronzerider before? Something about wanting to avoid anything 'serious'? How ironic.

"W-Wingleaders!" She cleared her voice and tried again. "Wingleaders, what do we know?" Her gaze traveled around those that had attended the party. "Scratch that. We need someone on crowd control here. And I want the weyrlings and young dragons looked to." Oh yes she was thinking of a few particulars with that thought. "Let's make sure we don't lose any young dragons due to fear."

Aerith is here, mine. We can have her take charge of them with assistance from another?

Ask them, please. Also ask Suunath if they-

The Weyr! Cepheith snarled, wings flapping open (those dragons nearby receiving a quick whack). Suunath. Mine wishes to know what yours wants to do. The crowd here needs to be looked to, as do the young ones. But the Weyr needs us as well.

Aerith, are you and yours still alright? Can you manage to start herding the weyrlings to safety before they do themselves any harm by trying to 'help'?

Narisa bit at her lip, trying to steady her racing heart and find the courage she and Kindra were going to need. Okay. Okay... "D'lin. You know Trine the best. I want you in charge of any group that must navigate the area in the dark." Her gaze met her friend's briefly before shifting to the other Wingleader. "Z'fer. Do you think you can do crowd control?" He wouldn't take any crap from frantic people. "All dragons can speak to Cepheith and Suunath." She added, looking to Kindra for agreement and... support.

Set'al and Pipith
[Staying at the party.]
Tag Narisa/Cepheith, 'Important' Group

Well, this was awkward, being being the odd one out in the midst of a bunch of rankers during a crisis. Hello, I'm the flunkie bronzerider! Mind if I crash your important meeting? Not that he thought of himself that way, but he was well-aware that he was not what most would consider a proper bronzerider...even if he happened to have arrived with a goldrider who had yet to let go of his hand.

This was just fine by Set'al, because he was gnawingly worried about losing track of her somehow; Narisa was his friend, and he was supposed to look after her. He might not have any kind of official position or high rank, but as her friend, he was responsible for taking care of her. Up to this point, that had mostly involved goofing around and taking her mind off of Serious Matters, but he could do quiet support. ...even if his hand was starting to hurt a little. He gave hers a squeeze, reassurance that he was here for whatever she needed, avoiding saying it aloud so as not to interrupt.

He nodded his acknowledgement of the various Important People, and flashed D'lin a quick smile. The younger man was his wingleader, after all, and a decent guy.

I will let no harm come to them, Pipith rumbled in response to Cepheith, reinforcing the words with a feeling of his determination.

Dizzian
(Dizzian Staying, Courath going to the weyr)
(Tag all Weyrlings!)

As the call began to circulate of fire in the weyr of fire she knew what she had to do. She would not let her inexperience hold her back! Before the queens had a chance to wrangle them in to sitting pretty Courath took off, her small size allowing her to slip through the metallic blockade as she darted towards the weyr. She could fit! She could protect!

With a bugle the brave green called out to her fellow weyrlings. ~ Siblings! We have our place, our advantage! Follow me and we will be the spear that pierces the hides of our enemies! ~ Whatever those creatures had been, they were not whers. If there were more attacking the weyr she and her siblings could not only fit where the larger dragons could not, but they were old enough and strong enough to be able to carry victims to safety.

To the rest of the dragons assembled she alerted them of her plan. ~ We go to search for injured! We will stay together and be quick. We are small and fast. If any of us find something we will let you know! ~ Her siblings were included in that, revealing her goals in this initial strike.

~ Mine we go to the weyr! Stay with the others. I will keep in contact. ~

"Courath NO!" Dizzian cried out as the slender green form darted away faster than a bolt of lightning. Courath couldn't go without her! She couldn't just leave her behind! Dizzian bolted from Hekate's side and started shoving her way through the crowd, desperate to either stop her dragon or join her.

~ Mine Stay! We go to see if there are injured! I will not fight unless it is necessary ~ She reassured her rider, never faltering in her galloping steps. She would fight if it came to it, but protecting the innocent was her first priority.

(( Anyone is welcome to stop Dizzian, if none do I'll have an NPC do it. ))

Zabreth followed Kameth up into the skies, her smaller wings pumping to quickly catch up. She moved off to his side and looked around. This was important, she had to see..

What, what did Kameth say? She flicked her tongue and took a deep breath of air.

I smell it! Kameth speaks true! There is fire! We must put it out!

Ralae moved closer to her friend and had her gold send soothing thoughts to Wykla's faire. Personally, she was glad she only had one to look after. "Zabreth says there is fire! What will you have us do?"

Ja'syn hadn't even wanted to be in the area of the celebrations. He had managed to get a weyr with Lyssa and except for wing duties, had been sticking close to his area. But somehow, he had been nearby and when the golds called for the larger dragons to circle up and protect the others, Brynth was there as well.

(O_O)

Brynth's stocky and thick brown body was finally good for something. As he moved towards the outer edges of the circle, facing outwards, something large and furry slammed into him. Roaring in anger, he took a swipe, nearly hitting the dragon next to him. Eyes red, he lunged but didn't go further as the beast turned and ran the other way. He has seen the tail, seen coloring similar to his own.

His mental cry echoed in all minds.

D'lin & Plexith
Tag Narisa - Everyone wanting to head back to the Weyr

'Brakiath speaks.' Plexith announced to his rider sounding almost surprised at the gold dragons contact. 'She orders the smaller of us into the air.'

'well its about time!' D'lin stated with irritation in his mind, sure those were not the orders he would have given but alas..such was the way things went. His head snapped towards Abigail with a hopeful look, had she come out of it long enough to take charge...no. NO - she was still standing there, blankly. Vastly dissatisfied he turned away. No time to rage about it now. Back to the orginal plan. In any case several people had volunteered firelizards and he nodded to them each in turn, in the midst of motioning them forward when Narisa arrived and his attention shifted to her. Narisa, he had learned from the revolutionary fighting, was not one to sit around and do nothing. She was nervous - understandable - but her orders, once she'd worked them out were concise and clear and he offered her a reassuring smile as she met his eyes. It's alright...we've done this once. We can do it again. Was what he wanted to say..but instead he merely nodded his concession to her demands of him.

"Of course." Turning back to the people who had volunteered their pets while Narisa continued to organize the remainder of the group he motioned them all off to one side.

"Everyone with Firelizards willing to help, over here please!" He ordered them, paling slightly as Plexith relayed to him another message. The large bronze cringing slightly as Cepheith's wings beat at him but holding his ground at her side none the less. 'Blue Kameth says the Weyr burns.' Fire...and they had just got around to rebuilding from the result of the last disaster. Very well then fire. "And I'll need a fire brigade, Anyone strong and capable enough of lifting a bucket, those with fighting skills capable of providing first aid please come with me as well." He called out, He couldn't lead a group into the Weyr without knowing who he had after all.

'Another reports seeing Felines' Plexith continued to update him as the dragons finally narrowed down the threat. Great. Giant vicious cats and Fire..what an amazing combination, D'lin thought with sarcasm.

"The dragons report Felines in the area." He told those nearby. On the plus side it wasn't weapon wielding humans and there were likely less of them, felines did not tend to run in giant mobs. "Kleos and the Wherhandler will likely be the ones leading the tracking group for them so if you'd rather take care of that problem wait for them to find the trail and wait for further orders from Narisa..or Kindra" They did not have time to wait around..so he would organize quickly and leave.

Mercy/ Aerith
Tag Cepheith, Dizzian & Courath.

'Brakiath order's me into the air' Aerith stated even as she did as commanded, the senior golds orders trumped those of the Jr's and bronzes..even if she would have much rather stayed on the ground with her's. Swiftly she wheeling in a circle around the rest of her comrade's, tiny form having allowed her to navigate the sudden rush into the air without any problem. 'Fire at the Weyr' She stated in alarm and then paused. 'Cepheith asks that we stay and keep watch of the Weyrlings.'

Aeriths declaration of fire and then the secondary orders came at around the same time as Courath's bugled plan and Dizzian's frantic charge through the air. Shards!

'Courath attempts to return to the Weyr' Aerith reported
'Well STOP her! And tell Cepheiths that we're on it.' Mercy bespoke her dragon as she made a mad dash for Dizzan, leaping at her from behind to try and tackle her to the ground. "No! The weyr's on fire, stay here..Aerith is going for Courath" She tried to tell the her.

' We will do so, we are well' Aerith bespoke Cepheith even as she wheeled away from the circling greens and blues, streaking on folding wings to land in Courath path with wings flared and hoping that her sudden and swift arrival (being small did have it advantages) would be enough to slow the charging green. 'STOP!' ALL Weyrlings return to the inner circle..NOW!' The white demanded, broadcasting to everyone in the vicinity and fixing Courath with a hard look, even as she cast about for someone larger to add a bit more clout to her order. It was Calanoth she found first his angry temper drawing her attention and she gave him a mental tap in a silent plead for his help in making the command stick.
