Devon looked away. irritated. He always got irritated when he was embarrassed. "Great. I'm glad I'm so funny." he muttered. With a sigh, he sat down on the bed beside her. Seeing her laughing and looking healthy again. he could stop the half-smile that passed across his face. "I'm glad you're feeling better." he told her, moving her hair out of her eyes. "Alright, let me make my escape before you get all lovey-dovey." the woman said, handing her alpha his helping of food.

Lark's laughter soon died down and she turned to smile at Devon. "Thank you." she said before giggling at Sheryl when she said she'd take her leave. "Thanks Sheryl dinner is Delicious." she said moving a little closer to Devon

"No problem. See you... tonight?" she asked, looking at Devon. "Maybe. I'll call." he said. She nodded. "Have fun you two!" With that she was gone. Devon turned back to Lark. "I know it's kind of a rush, but do you might meeting a bunch of people tonight. I can always wait til later. That pack has been wanting to see you." he said sheepishly. "They are overly interested." he added in a lower tone.

But why would they even want to see me why the big interest I'm just a human."

Devon placed his hand on her shoulders. "Hey. You don;t have to yet." he assured her. "It can wait. it just... the pack is kind of like my family. They want to see the human that made such a stir." He realized that wasn't helping much. "Most of them are normal people. Like Sheryl. She's one too."

"Sheryl is nice I doubt all werewolves have her personalty and what if they don't like me what then it's just a lot to take in Devon I don't know if I'm ready. Her mind kept flashing back to the night she had met Devon from what she had seen to what she had dreamed about the night before

Devon nodded, wrapping his arm around her. "Alright. You don't have too. They are mostly normal people though. And if they have a problem, than they can take it up with me." he stated. "But for now, I'll leave it." He hoped that might ease her worries a bit.

Devon had already finished his as well. "There should be more downstairs." he said. It was a only a moment and he returned with another bowl full for each of them. "Later, I can run to your house and bring you drawing things. You'll probably still be in bed for another day. At least if you have that you won't get bored."

Devon smirked. "Of course not. I can turn into a wolf at will. How many boring people can do that?" he said arrogantly. He paused a second. "Have you ever shown anyone your art?"

Devon shook his head. "No. I don't mind. You should show it to who you want. I was just curious to know. You are really talented. I'm kind of surprised you haven't put it out there." he commented. He placed his now empty bowl on the night stand. "I bet you could go places." He paused. "Speaking of places to go, I just missed a whole day of work." he sighed.

Devon sighed. So that's how it was. He beat most were jealous. "They don't know what they are missing." he stated simply. He grinned at her question. "Of course. Being an alpha werewolf doesn't entitle me to billions of dollars from nowhere." he said rolling his eyes. "How else will I afford my house?"
