 Ｍａｘｗｅｌｌ Ｈｕｎｔｅｒ "The Mad Hatter"Stiftening upon hearing Elliot's voice Ares wanted to run. "Down the hall," he said in a deep voice, deeper voice than his own, to the Hare hoping he'd leave.
Maxwell sleep through the night seeing visions if his parents. The had died when the late Queen and King had beheaded them. Faulty hats, she said, leaving Maxwell to grow up mostly by himself. Well, not really since he was at the time 17. He woke not 20 minutes after falling asleep and stood. He paced in his room and then finally opted for some warm tea. It would put him to sleep soon. He silently walked into the dark living and tip toed into the kitchen. He didn't need any lights to to a stove. All he had to do was turn the knob and fill the keetle with water. Which was exactly what he did. While he waited he sat in a chair with a hand on his chin.
"I must be bloody mad."

Elliot sighed and scratched his head. "Okay, thank you. If he comes back this way tell him I am looking for him please." he said, heading down the hallways. He had only been in a select few of the hallways on his visits to the castle and chose to only stay on them. He went and checked all of the rooms that he knew about and still couldn't find the Prince anywhere. Finally he decided to just go back to the tea room and wait. If the prince didn't show up he would assume there was something more important for him to do and he would leave so he didn't bother the prince. So Elliot went back into the tea room and took a seat at his previous chair.
Alice heard the water of the sink in the kitchen run and jumped a little. His mind had just started to relax for him and he had almost been asleep. Sitting up the boy rubbed his eyes and placed his hands on the back of the couch, peering over it at the kitchen to try and make out the dark outline of the person there. He squinted into the darkness and cleared his throat softly. "Maxwell, is that you?"

Ｍａｘｗｅｌｌ Ｈｕｎｔｅｒ "The Mad Hatter"As Elliot walked away Ares took a deep breath. "Okay Ares that wasn't the exact thing to do. You should tell him you're sorry," he said as he came out from behind the drapes. He stood there for a minute pacing back and forth with a hand on his chin. "What to do, what to do," he thought aloud. What was he to do? Say he was sorry for his foolish act, play it off, or tell him the truth? He didn't know what to do but he did know he to face Elliot. Instead he opted to continue pacing until a card came cross his path. "You," he said walking fast towards the card who bowed then raised his head. "Yes sire," he said simply. "Can you please get Mr. Hallen to come to the main guest room?" he said still pacing. "Yes sire," the card said and walked off in the direction of tea room. "Oh and don't him I'm requesting him!" he shouted to the card as the idea came to him. Ares took a deep breath and composed himself as he quickly rushed off to the guest room. When he arrived he turned on the lights and stood in the middle of the room pacing non stop.
Maxwell nodded and then realized that Alice probably couldn't see him. "Of course it's me Alice," he said in a soft voice. He didn't move just stared back with his yellow eyes. Unlike Alice, he could see rather easily in the dark. "Go back to bed," he said simply with a wave of his hand. Alice didn't need to worry about him.
"I must be bloody mad."

Elliot laid his head down on the table and continued waiting. He almost dozed off until he heard the door open quietly. He looked over to see if it was the Prince who had finally come back, and was dissapointed to see that it was only a card. "The guest room is ready for you. I think it would be best if you went there now to make sure the preperations are in order for you." he said. Elliots ears perked up and he walked over to the card. "Okay. Have you by any chance saw the Prince?" he asked, already heading out the door and on his way to the room. "No I haven't sir." the card said, heading in the opposite direction. Elliot sighed and made his way to the room.
Alice sighed and crossed his arms over the top of the couch, laying his head on them. "I can't. Are you okay? Do your scratches hurt?" he asked. He realize he hadn't got the chance to ask earlier and he felt bad. "It was my fault wasn't it? That the cat attacked you?" he asked. He was pretty sure it was. He had heard the cat say something about him but he couldn't remember.

Ｍａｘｗｅｌｌ Ｈｕｎｔｅｒ "The Mad Hatter"Ares kept pacing back and forth until he heard the creaking of the door. His first thought was to run and hide. His body had frozen instantly. He didn't know what to do. When he saw Elliot's face a beat red blush crossed his features as he took a deep breath and puffed out his chest, trying to compose himself. "Hello Elliot," he said his voice slightly betraying him.
Maxwell stood and grabbed a cup from the cabinet and began to pour water in it. He turned off the stove and dropped a bag of tea in. "No need to worry about me," he said in a calm voice. He then walked over to Alice and took a seat next to him on the couch. "And it wasn't your fault. Don't worry over it," he said as he went to take a sip.
"I must be bloody mad."

Elliot smiled, not expecting to see the prince waiting for him in the room. He walked inside the room and closed the door quietly. "Hello, Prince Ares. Are you okay? Did something happen? You seemed in a rush all of a sudden.." he said, scratching at the back of his head.
Alice sighed and brought his knees up to his chest to rest his head on them. He watched the hatter sip his tea and let the silence sink in. How could he not worry? He knew some part of what had happened had to do with him, and it was bothering him. As were the many other questions that were bouncing through his head. A blush crept across his face as his mind stopped on one particular memory. One it had decided to start going to often since it happened.

Ｍａｘｗｅｌｌ Ｈｕｎｔｅｒ "The Mad Hatter"Straightening his back Ares took a deep breath. "Elliot, I'm sorry for rushing out like that. You see it really surprised me that you called me by my first name and I was really happy," he said as his voice got higher in pitch and he ended giggling nervously.
Maxwell leaned his head back and closed his eyes. The tea felt nice as he brought it to his lips every once in a while. Soon the cup was empty and he stared into it dazed. He let out a heavy breath as he stood. He walked back into the kitchen, placed his cup down, and walked up behind Alice. "Good evening," he said as he kissed the boy on top of his head.
"I must be bloody mad."

Elliot's smile widened more and more at the princes words. He hadn't realized that just saying his name would affect him so much. Without warning he moved forward and wrapped his arms around the prince, in a soft and innocent hug. "Im glad to hear that. I thought something bad had happened.."
Alice blushed deeper when he felt the kiss on the top of his head. He layed down quickly and threw the covers over his head. "G-good night!" he yelled. After he heard Maxwell's door close he settled himself down into a more comfortable position and fell asleep faster then he had expected.

Ｍａｘｗｅｌｌ Ｈｕｎｔｅｒ "The Mad Hatter"Completely surprised by the sudden hug Ares threw his hands up over his head. His face only grew that much redder and he started to stutter. "N-n-no! Of-of course n-n-not! I'm th-the p-prince," he said as he felt his body stiffen. He had no idea what to do. He never thought of that scenario.
Even as Maxwell retired to his bed the second time that night the thoughts of the day ran over him. He couldn't sleep. So much that never happened happened. It made his already crazy stand completely unstable and confused.
"I must be bloody mad."

Elliot released the stuttering prince and smiled again. "Of course you are. But princes get into trouble once in awhile to, and I was worried." he said, admiring the way the princes face looked when he was flustered.
((Shoooort post. Didn't feel the need to write "Alice was asleep and probably had some crazy sex dream fantasy that involved Maxwell." >> Should we bring the other characters back into the story now?))

((You could bring Devin and Dusty into the castle and then I can find an excuse to pull in Jabber. But I don't want to disturb Elliot and Princey pants yet.))

Elliot nodded. "I can see that now. I shouldn't of worried." he said, adjusting his eyepatch and shirt and taking a seat on the bed.

Elliot nodded and stood up to walk over to the dresser. Then a thought accured to him and he quickly spun around, grabbing the princes hand light to keep him from leaving. "I..uhm..I was wondering if you would show me the rose garden tomorrow. I've been here many times and I still haven't saw it.." he said, smiling brightly. He really could care less about the roses but if it meant he could stay at the castle a little longer after waking up he was up to it.

Ｍａｘｗｅｌｌ Ｈｕｎｔｅｒ "The Mad Hatter"Ares felt his heart skip a beat and almost stop in his chest when Elliot grabbed his hand. That was all he could focus on. The warmth of the other man's hand. It felt so nice and Ares didn't want to let go of it, ever. It seemed that out of everyone in Underland Ares was the only one who found it incredibly hard to even touch the person he liked without it seeming sexual. Growing up had been tough on him. His parents hardly touched him and he didn't have many friends. He had been raised to think that any form of touching was too forward and would lead to something else. He slowly pulled his hand out of Elliot's, to show more that he didn't want to do anything rather than he didn't like the Hare. He toon a deep breath and nodded, walking quickly out of the room. Once he was outside the door he let out the breath he had been holding and sunk to the floor completely dazed and red as his hair.
