River thought about it for a moment, but he really wasn't feeling all that hungry. "Oh.. um, well, I'm not really hungry at the moment..." He shrugged a little, then stood up after Nadia had stood. "So I guess I'll um, see you later?" He smiled a little, "maybe on an adventure into town?"

"Ok then." Nadia smiled back at him. "Yes I'll definitely be seeing you soon for that adventure." She gave him a wink. "Have a nice rest of your day River." With that she swayed her way out of the Common Room back the way she had swayed in, heading for the kitchen.

Sleep was something that had been hard for Blaine to get lately with the voice in his head getting louder and louder. At the most he would grab three hours of sleep but even then sometimes his dreams would only make him feel worse. It also didn't help that thanks to him being so afraid to meet his roommate he had been having to sleep in random places around the school or in the Commons Area when everyone went to sleep. Luckily for him no one was around so he made himself comfortable on one of the couches. His eyes looks tired from all the lost sleep he had gotten. His eyes would shut but only for a short time before slowly opening once again. Give a loud yawn he could feel that no matter what he tried he wouldn't be sleeping again anytime soon. It seemed the voice was wanting Blaine's attention once again to ruin his day.
Sitting up he yawned again and looked around the empty room. "Someone's a little tried." The voice laugh and only made Blaine frowned. "Wwhy wwon't you leavve me allowwn. Pplease." Blaine groaned as he rubbed his face. "Sorry kid that ain't gonna happen." The voice laughed even louder only making Blaine give a unpleasant face. It seemed his day wasn't going to go over well at all. Sighing the archangel fell back onto the couch with his face landing on the cushion.

Business for the day over, Jaiden took no time in finding zer way to the hallways of the school building. Sitting alone was never good for her sanity, and while her roommate was sweet, ze was not exactly enough entertainment for Jaiden. No, today ze planned to find someone to whom ze could show zer power. Someone amazing. This meant leaving her dorm mate to zer own devices, and striking out to find people. Her normal attire was worn, the fancy vest suit that her zer mother adored, with the self made modifications. It was important to dress for success, her mother always said, and so she always did.
Unfortunately, ze had no idea how to find someone 'amazing', and gave up rather quickly. Instead she made her way to the couches of the Commons Area, not wanting to head back to her dorm and admit her failure yet, just in time to hear some poor soul talking to himself. He certainly didn't sound amazing, indeed talking to ones self made him seem even stranger. Really, ze thought, in a place like this you would think crazy people wouldn't be running free.' This was, of course, forgetting her own tendency to speak with Kaiden.
However, lacking anything else to do ze moved towards the person. "So, can I come in? Maybe I can help ward off what evers got you in a fuss?" With a sweet smile, the words lacked any sense of her previous thoughts on the matter.

Blaine was just moments away from sleeping even with the voice talking when he heard an unfamiliar voice speak. Quickly he sat up and looked around to find Kaiden. A small squeak like noise came from the archangel as he clung to the couch. He should have been more careful but someone got closer, well they weren't that close but being in the same room was close enough for Blaine. "Seems like there's a new target." The voice laughed inside Blaine's head making the boy grow scared. "Don't you dare," the boy whispered before looking over to Kaiden again. He wanted to refuse the other from coming any closer but he felt it would only come out rude. Worrying about it for a few seconds he took a large gulp before opening his mouth to speak. "Wwell I can't sstopp you." The whole time he talked he didn't dare look over to the other kid. He was way too scared even though he knew he had to keep a close eye on the other to make sure he didn't get touch and hurt the kid. Gulping again Blaine looked up to Kaiden as he slowly began to move to the other corner of the couch. "This kid is gonna be 'fun'. At least for me. Don't you think." Blaine began to shiver as he thought about the voice giving him thoughts of hurting someone. "Pplease be careful. Don't come too closse."

Jaiden made zer way towards a couch opposite of him before questioning his 'advice'. As ze settled down, her shadow quickly moved its 'arms' to fix a pillow she had knocked over, while she stretched zer arms. "Careful isn't something I'm too great at, I'll admit, but I suppose if it means so much to you then I can stay over here. Guessin' you have some kind of dangerous power that you can't fully control or 'sumtin?" Another point against the academy it seems - they really should watch people who could hurt others without meaning to. Of course, that would probably just prompt resentment, Jaiden. They don't want to imprison kids here, they want the kids to enjoy it and grow up well.
Jaiden rubbed her eyes at Kaiden's explanation, making sure not to respond to her Mane aloud. Instead ze crossed zer legs, and put her hands together, "You know, you don't need to be scared of me. I'm not going to ignore your advice, nor do I have any power particularly suited to torment others. I am purely here for a nice little chat." Jaiden made sure zer face was a perfect con's smile, defaulting to 'business' to attempt to calm Blaine.

"My my what a brave soul we have here. Impressive." The voice laugh again which made Blaine a little nervous but after hearing what Jaiden said lowered it a bit. His shaking slowly went to a stop but he kept his sight on the other. The kid seemed to understand one of his fears somehow. He didn't want to hurt anyone with his power which is why he always kept his distances. Actually he didn't like having to stay away from others. He too wanted to chat and make friends but with his touch being so harmful and possibly deadly was something that kept him away from others. The voice also didn't help either. "Thank you for undersstanding. My touch...it hurtss other ppeopple. I...I don't want to hurt otherss sso I sstay awway from them." Pausing for a bit he playing around with his fingers and gave a mousey smile. "Talking iss nice. Thank you. I...I don't get to talk to many ppeopple. There wwass one but...I sstopppped."
The small smile Blaine had disappeared. He really had missed Ana but he thought that it was for Ana's own good to stay away from her. He thought more about her and how they met and introduced each other then Blaine realized a mistake he had made. "Oh umm my name. I forgot. It'ss Blaine. Ssorry for not givving you my name ssooner." Blaine smiled weakly to Jaiden before the voice spoke up again. "Boy are you so whiny with all your saying sorry and all your little manners. Ugh why me. I'm gonna make sure to make your life hell and everyone around you especially the ones you love. Just like your family." Blaine's smile disappeared once again from what the voice again. "That'ss not vvery nice," the archangel replied out loud to the voice.

Jaiden kept zer smile as Blaine explained why he was so nervous, nodding along to make it appear that she was understanding what he was saying. His little outburst made zer quirk a brow, before apparently understanding what was going on, "Ah, my apologies Blaine. I seem to have forgotten my manners and forced you to give your name first, even though I approached you. I am Jaiden, overlord of spirits and souls~" Ze smirked at zer self given title, before giggling into a hand. A pillow rose off the couch and whacked zer in the face, leaving a shadow facing the wrong direction for where the light was from. "Sorry, sorry." ze whispered towards the shadow, still giggling as she held onto the pillow that had hit her in the head.
After a few moments of holding onto the pillow while laughing, she finally calmed down enough to talk again, "Right, sorry about that." She straightened herself up, shaking her head, "I suppose we should start an actual conversation, right? Hm. Well, Blaine, why not talk about hobbies. What do you like to ~do~ in your spare time?" Knowing one's hobbies was the easiest way to learn what they were really like, which was the first step to any sort of relationship, be it business or friendship.

Blaine was going to reply right after Jaiden gave their name but the sudden pillow rising and hitting the other in the face made him stop. It even scared him a bit though he thought it was just one of Jaiden's powers. Of course he also thought that it was a little weird that the kid in front of him would hit themself but Blaine wasn't going to judge.
He continued to watch the other, a smile reappearing on him. It wasn't to bad listening and talking with someone else. They even calmed him a bit or at least he felt like he could ignore the voice more. Though as he was spacing out Jaiden spoke up again and Baline made sure to pay attention. "Oh hobbiess. Well I don't havve many but I do like to take care of the pplantss and ssun bathing. I do like to wwatch otherss too ssince I'm too sscared to go near them. I'm actually boring, I knoww but I foucuss all my time on sstaying awway from otherss. I bet you do better sstuff." Blaine went quiet again as he waited to hear what the other had to say.
"Oh god. Are you serious? Just strangle me now. I'm going to die of boredom." Blaine choose to ignore the voice. He wasn't going to let him ruin the little enjoyment in his life unless of course something bad happened but it seemed like everything was going well.

Jaiden smiled widely, always happy to talk about zerself. "Well~, my main interest is in collecting. I collect gems, games, clothes, jewelry, recipes, really just anything that has worth! See, I'm a ~businessman~, and I trade anything and everything." Ze winks to Blaine, seeming proud of herself, "Mother also taught Kaiden how to make medicines and stuff, and to love reading stuff about that. So a lot of time is also spent reading, when we can. Other than that, well, I've tried pretty much anything under the sun." Ze runs a hand down the golden chains on zer shoulder, "I sewed these into this outfit myself, and I can cook enough to get by! Really, I hate not being self sufficient, so I learned a ~lot~. I also tend to get hurt a lot, because my mother always taught me that I have every right to be the brightest star, even if Kaiden dislikes it." She glances to her shadow with a sigh, which ducks out of sight, moving under her. She pays no mind to how weird she sounds talking about Kaiden without introducing her.
"But really! Taking care of plants must be hard. I mean, Kaykay tries, but I always forget about them and then they die. It's terrible. Much easier to just sell off some merchandise and buy plants from someone else, if I ever need them. Maybe I'll buy some from you even!" She grins, extremely excited, "I also ~love~ discovering what other people can do. Hobbies, skills, or powers, all of them are so interesting to learn about. The spirits particularly love powers though." Ze winks to Blaine, giving the most unsubtle hint ever.

Of course Blaine had been right, Jaiden's hobbies were a lot more interesting than his own. Luckily it seemed the other didn't seem bored with him. It was possibly a good sign. As Jaiden spoke, Blaine imagined all the things the other collected. "Wwoww," Blaine whispered as he kept on thinking then looked back to talking about the other things. If Blaine didn't have his poisoning touch or the voice in his head he could see himself being friends with Jaiden.
"It can be but I think my item being a pplant helppss me out. I undersstand them in ssome wway.I knoww howw good it feelss to havve wwater, take in the ssunss rayss, and be taken care of wwith lovve. I'm not the besst but I try." He felt pleased with getting to talk about things he liked and it even seemed to shut the voice up. It felt peaceful and quiet.
Finally after he looked up towards Jaiden with a better smile on his face. "You're ppretty interessting Jaiden and nice. It wwould be nice to helpp you wwith taking care of pplantss. Only if you wwant to of coursse." He felt shy with his last suggestion but it was something he would enjoy. After that he didn't say much as he thought not only about what he said but as well as the last few things Jaiden said, not getting completely what they meant especially with the wink.

Even without understanding the wink, Blaine seemed to satisfy Jaiden's curiosity as to his powers, "Ooh, plant based powers then? That haaas to be kinda neat! I mean, plants are everywhere, and can be incredibly useful!" Jaiden laughed quietly into a hand, "Though I don't know why plants would make getting near you dangerous, I suppose it's best if I don't find out. But anyways! I'm almost certain that Kaykay would be too embarrassed to have help, but who knows! We always do need some plants for medicines though! I.. tend to go through a lot." Jaiden rubbed the back of zis head, laughing awkwardly, "It'd be nice to not have to pick them myself, too. I'm terrible at remembering what we need, and always end up picking the wrong stuff."
She stretches out, laying across the couch now as she looks to Blaine, "Oh, but it's rude of me to ask what you can do while not explaining what I can, isn't it?" She smiles, raising zis hands up towards the ceiling, "I call upon the spirits and souls that govern the woooorld~" She sing songed the sentence, trying to make it sound creepy, "And make deals with beings like us~" she points to herself, and then to Blaine, "that allow the spirits to grant great boons." Sitting up suddenly, ze let her eyes open all the way, "I can make someone stronger, or copy their abilities~" Ze brought up a small capsule from a pocket, "With only a price I deem fair." She smirked to him, squeezing the capsule to release a small cloud of smoke to obscure herself.
Standing up, her shadow seemed to stick to the smoke in the air around the couch, a face seeming to grow on it as it rose in the air, "And I promise to not ask for souls." With a smirk, she took a bow at her own performance, before smiling to Blaine, quite proud of herself.

It was making Blaine quite pleased that the other seemed interested in his powers but at hearing how plants could make a dangerous power, Blaine frowned. "I thought the ssame about howw a pplant could make coming near me dangerouss. It'ss due to the pplant I got. Some are ppoissonnessss." Blaine gave a serious look over to Jaiden until the other began to stretch themself on the couch. Panicking a little he moved closer to the edge of his end of the couch before listening to what else Jaiden had to say. Jaiden's powers were a lot more interesting than his own. They were at least a lot more helpful too. He only wished he too had powers that were more helpful than bad.
Blaine was in deep thought when Jaiden stood to show him their powers but when the smoke came out, Blaine looked up. His eyes grew wide with what he saw, feeling as if his heart would stop right there. Sure he knew everyone had different abilities due to what they were as well as item but it was still at times either surprising or frightening. Sometimes even both things. Blaine was now shaking like a leaf while he tried to back away so he could run for it, but it seemed he was too frighten to even run. He was even getting to the point that his eyes began to water, readying themselves to cry.

Blaine's reaction was not at all what Jaiden was expecting from the boy. As he began to back away and his eyes began to well up with tears, she quickly dropped her act, waving her hands in the smoke to disperse the thick air. She certainly looked concerned, having never gotten a reaction quite so... meek. Certainly smoke and shadows shouldn't scare a kid that much! What is wrooong with this guy..., Jaiden thought to herself, Kaiden silent in her head, her shadow back to normal. "U-hm." She fidgeted her leg, her foot turning back and forth, unsure, for once, about what to say. She was afraid of what would happen if she got closer to the terrified boy, because who knows what he might end up doing.
Instead she stepped backwards, her hands in the air, "I apologize for... scaring you." She spoke soothingly, much like her mother would speak to her when she got hurt. "I wasn't trying to intimidate or scare you, I simply have a... flair for the theatrical side of powers." She had no idea what to do besides explain herself, "I really promise that I can't actually hurt you with anything I can do. I mean, right now. I could potentially hurt people? I-I mean, uhm." Ze rambled, before raising her hands to cover her mouth, "The shadow in the smoke wasn't anything bad, that was just Kaiden and I promise she wouldn't hurt a fly, she's as easily scared as you are." A few second's pause before she noticed what she had just said, "N-not that that's bad or I'm looking down on you I just..." She looked down, "Sorry."
Master speaker though she is, Jaiden had never dealt with the problem of someone being scared of her. As such, almost all of her skill at dealing with people was gone.

It took some time for Blaine to start calming down. He wiped his tears and tried taking deeper breaths. Jaiden wasn't trying to scare him, he knew that but still to see something like what he saw really terrified him. Parts of him even thought about the voice like that since when he dreamed the voice looked to take up a dark shadow like shape. There was no way Blaine wanted to think about the voice becoming real. God no for that would be the worst thing possible.
Hearing all of Jaiden's apologizing made Blaine feel bad for freaking out the way he did. Jaiden meant no harm but now they were saying sorry for a problem he brought out. He knew he had to apologize himself. Sitting down on the couch as he was now calmed, Blaine looked up with a frown. "I...I sshould be the one ssaying ssorry."
