Gaara the Protector What was your chain? And did you keep going afterwords to try for another? My chain was 41 and I did not as I was really tired DX

Since I am importing HeartGold from Japan, will I have a better chance of getting a shiny when I breed AND chain, and even just walk in the grass? I heard the Jap games have a 1/2000 or so chance and we have a 1/8000 chance (except when we breed with a foreign Pokemon). So, if I breed with a foreign Pokemon on my Jap HG game when I get it, will it go down to like 1/500 with the Masuda method?

I guess either way, obtaining shinys will be easier since the odds increase by 4 in the Japanese games. Now I am excited. But if anyone can answer my questions above please do so.

Gaara the Protector I guess either way, obtaining shinys will be easier since the odds increase by 4 in the Japanese games. Now I am excited. But if anyone can answer my questions above please do so. The chances in the jap games are still 1/8192.Then if you use the masuda method the chances increase by four.I don't know where you heard that the jap games have more chances than any of the other ones but thats incorrect.

Wellll, I know some people who have hatched 1.6k eggs with Masuda method and no shiny came from it. It really just comes down to luck with your secret ID o 3o; Annnnnnd, I'm good. I just found my Diamond, so happy.
