Angel of the End "Arn't you guys curious... as to why we have not been attacked yet? They are simply watching us." She kept walking, seeing a little light from the village ahead. Edward thought for a moment, "Well my only thoughts are 1. We are in a fairly large group, or 2. They are willing to reveal themselves only to one person, and one person only."

"I've just been wondering the same thing Banshee." Aya said in a curious tone of voice. It's almost as if they are stalking us like we are some sort of prey and they are the predators. she thought. I've gotta keep my eyes open.

The though of being prey made Edward nervous. He reached behind to his back and withdrew his double=bladed sword. "Well if we are prey, they are not going to take us easily." Edward said confidently.

"That does sound right." Then a thought came to Banshee, she stopped walking for a moment, then continued. She bit her tongue, then took a deep breath. 'It would be pointless to bring it up, besides, at this point, there is no way out of this. Pray for the best.' Her thoughts were calmer now, and she turned to her group and smiled. "Remember, I'll lead and protect you guys. Edward, keep watch after Lily, and Aya, keep watch over them both." She said it calmly, but was hopeing Edward and Aya might come to a basic idea what she was concerned about.

Eragon the Betrayer Angel of the End "Yes Edward." Banshee went over to the side with him. "Might I say something?" Her face was pale. He whispered to her. "Just tell me now, what is it? Who are they after?" "I'm... a crusnik. They are either after you or me, either way it would make perfect sense." She was shivering a little, then stopped. "We need to have Aya take Lily as soon as we arrive to the village, and have them go to the Mainland where it is much safer. I have my doubts the alchemist you speek of is still alive, and if that is the case, they would of attacked you by now to take the package. Since there are numbers, they are waiting, so once we get there there will be no place to run if things get bad. They would only kill Lily if they felt like it, and appearently from what I can tell, Aya is a lycan..." She paused, and waited for Edward to get all the information in. She was worried, because in the back of her mind, she has been wondering if he is a member or supporter of the Red Cross. Now she only felt safe because there was the need for team work.

He set down his pack and exchanged his over coat, with that of one with a red cross on it. "I am guessing you have already known who I was. Edward of the Red Cross Society."

"Yes, but when I first came to the forest and saw you, I decided to talk to you and find out what kind of person you were. Edward, you have a good heart, and I know that your uncle helps many people in that village, even now I believe the right choice was made." Her eyes were strong, although she felt almost depressed knowing for sure he was who she suspected him of being, yet also calmed by knowing his kindness. "I'm not asking you to not harm me or my friends once this is all over, however, might you forget about what we are till another day?" Banshee paused, then looked at the village. "We should probably hurry, to save your family member as well."

Lily folded her arms and leaned on a tree. I've been nineteen for seventy-nine years I think I can protect myself. She thought to herself not fond of being protected by a human. "And how old are you eighteen?" She asked Aya.

Sergei walked inside the alchemist's house and took what things he needed. The contract was to kill if necessary but he knew that always meant kill especially if it was given to him. Sergei hadn't completely killed the alchemist yet but he did like what he had set up. As soon as a person opened the door a switch released and the alchemist would have the dagger already inside him go right into his heart. If not he could always just slit his throat and get out of there but he waited for the people his contractors said would come, he wanted to see their faces as he stared into the alchemist's eyes as he died.
