Moonkit padded out of the nursery, the sun warming her sleek black fur as it had done many times before. She could sense in her soul that it was only a few days before she reached the age of 6 moons, and she was thoroughly pleased. She was anxious, like any young cat, but rather calm compared to her usual jumpy self. She wanted to make sure she didn't look like a fool when she was so close to apprenticeship.

Silvertail bounded out behind Moonkit and gave her a loving lick of the ear. "What do you wanna do today?" She sounded more like a kit than a queen but that was just the way Silvertail was. She smiled warmly at Moonkit as she sat down with her tail flicking as she waited for her reply.

"Could we go outside the camp and hunt or something? I promise I won't go far!!" She pleaded, putting on her best I'm-a-little-angel face of hers. She kneeded the ground under her and waited for a reply, still acting as cute as could be.

"Kits can't hunt," Sandpaw said as he appeared behind them in that annoying way that he could. He had had another bad sleeping night but had gotten used to shaking it off. "If they could I could take you," he said more brightly. He had probably made her mad.

"I know... but could we atleast go outside of the camp? I'm practically ready to be an apprentice, any!" She explained, though she knew it wouldn't matter what she said; the warrior code said she couldn't hunt yet. She gave her white chest fur a brisk lick before looking back up at Sandpaw.

[ wahey, we're back in action~ :B ]
Dampfoot stalked out of the warrior's den, her face set it into what would have been a comical expression of exasperation, if it weren't for the fact that proverbial storm clouds seemed to be brewing over the femme's head.
She threw her muzzle skyward and glared at the watery sunlight in irritation, as if scolding it for rising.
She was tempted you open her jaws and yowl long and hard into the chilling blue depths, reprimanding the day for dawning and calling the night back mournfully.
Instead, Dampfoot dumped her scrawny form outside the Warrior's den and curled her tail around her paws like ambidextrous rope.
A resigned sigh parted her chops and her head drooped in defeat, muscles loosening as her mind slowly opened to embrace the coming day.
Another sleepless night had passed, and Dampfoot was still as irritable as ever.
She slowly turned her gaze up to the anxious kit complaining in the middle of the clearing and she smirked as she watched Sandpaw reigning the youth.
Another quiet sigh was issued and silver visionaries flittered to watch cotton-soft clouds drifting lazily overhead.
The sooner she could get out of camp, the better.

Moonkit quietly came out of the nursery, as calm as could be. She noticed over the past several days she had gotten calmer and calmer, until it was almost unatural to her. She let out a silent yawn, stretching her paws out infront of her. Making sure not to wake anyone, she padded to the outskirts of the camp where the reeds grew high and sat, practicing her hunting crouch. Her target; a small beetle a tail-length or two away.

Moonkit lay with her back to the ground, a leaf in the air above her head. She swiped at the leaf, making it float wildly in the air. She was getting more and more exciting about her apprentice ceremony that was surely coming up soon, but she just couldn't seem to put that excitement turn into anything positive. So she simply bided her time practicing her coordination skills on the leaf, her heart secretly pounding faster then a rabbit's paw against the ground as it runs.
