Fredrick came up behind Devon just as Kila finished now that he saw to his basic duty as second in command. When he heard that Devon needed he immediately went to retrieve them. "Ok Devon what next." Fred asked bringing the four wolves

"We do a little hunting, figure out where they are, gather any information we can." he said. "You ready to do some recon? I'll need you by my side." he looked to his Fred, his eyes nearly burning with intensity.

Fredrick snorted and nodded. "That's what I'm here for isn't?" he asked Devon rolling his eyes only just now noticing he was talking him his wolf form but his lips were not moving.

Kila opened up the portal for the last time. All entering the spot they would wait until they were ready to actually attack. A small group headed into the forest where Kila directed them. It wasn't long till they heard music....

"Who in the hell is out here playing music in a winter storm." Fredrick spoke to Devon as they were exploring the trees looking for the source of the music, while trying to track down Lark's sent, Bo looked just as lost as he was.

Devon looked silently. Hear he felt more relaxed, more alert. He could feel Lark, but barely. It was enough. His eyes glittered with determination.
We're getting close. Send the other to surround the area. Don't do anything but watch and report back.

Tatiana seat on her throne, pleased. Her subjects dance and whirled in a inhumanly beautiful performance. The celebration was in full swing. IN a matter of hours they would be ready to preform the main event. The alter was already being prepared.
It was only a matter of hours and the girl was already thoroughly broken. She still allowed the fae to have they're fun with the girl, but she didn't want her completely crazy. So for the moment she could have a brief respite before the real games began.

Lark continued to stare out into the blizzard, she had never felt more alone in her life. The hole in heart still blazing with pain. Her tears dried up for now. Silent as a ghost she began to move toward the palivillon in the center if the courtyard to be completely alone.

Fredrick nodded to Devon and got as close as he could get with out being seen by the party where the fairies were throwing a ball in the middle of a blizzard and they were dressed from outrageously fancy to barbarians most of which seemed to be dressed as wolves, white wolves to be exact. "This can't be good." Fredrick thought to himself, he saw a figure separating itself from the crowd. It was Lark. "Devon I see her." Fred called his Alpha

Devon crouched low, blending in perfectly with the snow. Good thing it was winter here. His eyes moved as Fred spotted Lark moving out of the crowd. This fae queen seemed to be mocking him with this wolf and wolf fur thing going around.
As he saw her moving he stalked to get near her, but there was a problem. He couldn't exactly get close enough to get some clothes. But... perhaps they wouldn't notice one extra wolf creature. There were quite a few that looked almost like wolves.
Deven stalked to the pavilion unnoticed. Lark was hiding there. He got close and whimpers softly to get her attention.

Lark sat by stood alone in the pavilion, grateful for the piece she couldn't bare being mocked again or even watch the fairies dressed as white wolves or wolves period. It hurt to badly, she shivered not with cold but emotion it was all starting to become to much for her. She hoped her death in the ceremony later would be quick, the pain was becoming to much she wanted it to end. Lark froze as she heard the whimpering behind her, she wouldn't fall for it again, not again. Lark covered her ears and closed her eyes. "Just go away." she said tired of it all the tricks, the fairies, the pain. Everything. She wouldn't look at this new fairy tricking her.

As she curled up his ears went flat. She was blocking him out. Why would his mate do that? He didn't like it. It made him feel empty, wrong. He was reminded of the first time he saw her like that. How odd that they would be back in this situation.
He padded forward silently, until he was behind her. He curled up around her and placed his head on his paws to wait.

Lark stood fast and glared at the fairy who she thought this time was pretending to be her beloved. "I said go away, I'm through playing this game, I get it alright he's dead and he's not coming back you won, you've got your willing sacrifice now leave me alone!" Lark told the 'imposter' in an emotionless voice that was so unlike the Lark that Devon loved

Devon stood with her. He drooped even more at her reaction. What had they done. Yet he couldn't help but growl at one thing. Why did she think he was dead?
He calmed himself, staring at her. He looked down and his body started to twitch and ripple. He made a grunting sound and transformed halfway. He looked up.
"You really believe them?" He reached up and touch the amulet on her neck. Kila has pulled him aside while the packs were being gathered. It was the serve as a warning for the humans who served the wolves. It helped them discern human from fae among other things. "They are good at deception."

Lark backed away from him and slapped his hand or claw away from her amulet. "Don't touch that! It's the only thing I have left now go away." She snapped still not believing it was really Devon because it couldn't be, she saw his head. The hole that was inside her chest, was on fire, she choked back tears and her eyes showed for a minute showed the misery she felt inside before she covered it again with an emotionless mask.

Devon snatched her, grasping her arms tightly without injurying her.
It's me! Can't you hear me?! he called with his mind.
"Please." he whispered loud. "I'm here for you."

Lark couldn't and wouldn't hear him it was all trick it was her mind flashed back to when she was last with then beloved and then the image of his head his arms. No this wasn't Devon. "No your not, your not him I saw the head." She said to herself but he could hear her, she went limp in his arms and not in a good way it was in away that meant she gave up and on everything and everyone. Why fight, why not cry her heart out again. She that's what she did, Lark cried.
