"Have you ever wondered what it feels like to lay on a table surrounded by vegetables with a tomato shoved in your mouth?" Tsume asked casually, not even looking at Ipo. "there's some other wolves here, might be willing to show you." he moved away and rolled his eyes, but he'd grown used to the stupid hare.

Leo laughed, "don't worry, it's not hard. i'll show you. at least, if i remember them myself." he had only attended parties as a child and he hoped he remembered the dances right. they reached the base and Tsume stepped by his side. he smiled and shook his head at the other's formality. "silly wolf." he looked over the group that separated slightly for them and saw Nix was already happily moving to their blankets. "Thank you all for gathering here. It causes me great sadness to leave my home once more, but i shall return. never again will i be kept from my people!" cheers met his declaration and he gave Elliot's hand a squeeze, "may Falia and Nalenyr forever be bonded with one another. there is much land between us, but such distance is nothing for brothers in life and love." he looked at Elliot before letting go of his hand and stepping away, smiling. "our countries have been brought together through our bond. may we stand by each other in good and the bad, in times of drought and famine and in times of prosperity. so it is said, so shall it be!"

the crowd repeated his last line and he took Elliot's hand once more, leading him to the blanket as the party started around them. he'd known Elliot wished to try and make a peace treaty with them, and this was his way of helping. they sat down and Leo smiled, "was that forward of me?"

Tsume was about to pull his arm away when he heard Ipo's last words. "Deal." he looked at Leo grinned and waved his hand, giving him permission. "Come on, bunny-boy. time to be the epitome of irony." a wolf teaching a hare to dance, what next? he moved to the open area and listened to the song for a moment before nodding, "you're quick on your feet. i'll go slow and just follow my lead." he stepped away and began to show Ipo the steps. it was more a folk dance than anything formal and rather easy to do.

Leo watched Tsume go off and laughed, shaking his head before someone approached their blanket. it was a member of the Sparrow Clan and she smiled before bowing and holding out two small gifts. "Thank you, Miss Idia." he inclined his head before accepting one box, the second being offered to Elliot.

"for your trip," she said in a soft, sing-song voice. "may music ever lighten your lives."

Idia smiled and moved to go and dance with the others. Leo opened the gift and felt his eyes widen, "ever berries. if you plant them they will grow and produce berries year round." he looked over at Elliot, "she probably gave you something different." he watched his love open the gift and smiled, "wind flutes. to place in the ever berry branches." Idia was the first of a long stream of gift bearers, Leo smiling and thanking each person by name first so that Elliot wouldn't have to worry about remembering them all.

"good, you picked up the steps." Tsume said, nodding to himself. a swirl of white passes and he looked over to see Nix being whisked about the dance floor, laughing happily and he chuckled, shaking his head. "that girl gets giddy at dances and parties. so many people and such happy, bright thoughts. it's like the strongest of wines to her."

Leo laughed, "The magic is strong here. there are many different dementional rifts as well where people dwell which makes it so that so many can live here safely. the forest is big, but not nearly big enough for us all without those rifts." he sighed and leaned against Elliot, closing his eyes for a moment. "You are doing well. the next break let's go and dance, ok?" he wanted to teach Elliot some of the dances of his people

Tsume shrugged, "she's a good kid. this trip will be good for her though. it will help her control herself and be exposed to the outside world. her mother would approve." their mother had said they had been isolated for too long. she claimed that if we wished to live in the world they had to share it with the humans and that meant going out and interacting with them. not many had agreed, and what had happened to her and the royal family had only seemed to throw them even farther into isolationism. and yet leo arrived and everything seemed to change. maybe her dream would become real

Leo smiled at the kissed, Elliot had certainly become more affectionate during their stay and Leo found himself finally able to admit to himself that he loved the man. it wasn't just respect or gratitude he felt, but actual, full blown love. he just had to make himself be able to admit it. he'd said it once, but that didn't count. it was at a moment where he though he might not possibly see Elliot again and something he'd said without speaking. he ate some fruit and smiled when it didn't make him feel ill. tonight was a good night then. "the dances are easy and everyone will help you out." but another gift bearing guest arrived and he smiled to accept their offering and wishes for a safe trip.

Tsume curled his lip, bearing his fangs. "i hope for their sakes that you are right. i will not tolerate any abuse of her." he took a drink as well, but sipped at it. "There, i have taught you your dance. now leave me be, hairy."

Leo blushed a little when Elliot took a bite of his fruit, but he smiled all the same. he'd learned his sickness wasn't contagious or Elliot and Nix would be sick. he was even managing to keep it from Tsume, at least so far. "you could have just asked you know." sharing fruit or cups didn't make the other man ill so it was safe. he took another bit before kissing Elliot and teasingly pushing the bite into the man's mouth before pulling away to happily munch on his fruit

Tsume glanced over, "We both know how little girls can be. i am sure they will be friends, however i will not hesitate to defend and protect my princess if i feel she is threatened both mentally and physically." he inclined his head before moving to go stand near Leo and Elliot once more.

Tsume had come to begruginly accept Elliot the past week, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to continue teasing the man. "hairy learned the dance well enough that he can go one without me. what about you? want me to teach you a couple moves?" he lifted one side of his mouth in a smirk.

"I will be the one teaching him, Tsume." Leo said, lifting his own eyebrow. he glanced around and saw there was another lull before grabbing Elliot's hand and standing. "As a matter of fact i will be teaching him now." he smiled and head for the dance floor, excited to teach the other prince. "just watch me, we'll go slow." he said, staying on the edge where there was less people and starting the dance for Elliot to learn from

Tsume shook his head a little and watched Leo take the idiot prince to the dance floor. hearing Ipo speak to the box, he looked over and rolled his eyes. "you wont be able to open that." it was a gift from a magical being and Ipo thought he could just go through it.

Leo smiled, "you are doing well, my prince." he took Elliot's hand and guided him further into the dance floor. he showed the man a few of the turns done, swinging himself under Elliot's arm. "when we join the group, you would change partners at this time and start again."
