It was what? Slaine wondered. It only took half a second for him to realize what Mizi was going to say. Cute. He leaned his head over, taking another sip of the Dr. Pepper before him to hide his grin. It was obvious the other didn't want to push that subject. The expression eventually faded as he distracted himself with staring at his own food. That is, until Mizi stated something else. 'Couple things'? Like what? For a second time that day, the dark-haired waiter looked about the room at the others gathered. It was then he actually noted each of their individual activities. Oh! Couple things. A deep blush found Slaine's fair cheeks and he cast his eyes quickly back down to the table. What should he do? He wanted to do those things with Mizi, but there were so many people around. Then again, after their 'incident' in the kitchen, wasn't that when the awkwardness between them was first born? Maybe Mizi didn't mind publicly displaying his emotions as he did himself. And maybe to continue to show Mizi that he wanted a deeper relationship with him.. he would have to swallow that embarassment. Shifting his eyes to the floor then back up to Mizi's awaiting self, he took a deep breath. "A-alright.." he said. 'Start small,' he told himself. Beneath the table, his hand clenched before coming up to rest on the table top, open-palmed. It was an offering to take the other's hand in his own. The heat in his face still remained, but lessened slightly in time. Looking through the corner of his eye for only a moment, he again looked at what each couple was doing. Sharing.. pasta? He had never really shared a dish with anyone, much less shared one intimately. "Do you, um.. want to.." The fading blush started to return full force. "Do you want to share the pasta??" The final words came out quickly, as if he had forced them out.

Mizi looked at Slaine uncertainly. This date was intended to cheer him up, if anything. But all it seemed to accomplish was making the other uncomfortable. Mizi stared at the hand extended to him for a moment before taking his own hand and easily placing it in the other's. It fit nicely. He couldn't deny that the warmth of the other's palm against his own felt oddly right. He could've been satisfied with the small act.
But with the last, forced string of words, Mizi suddenly changed his mind. He took his hand back without warning, took a twenty out of his wallet and placed on the table, and sighed. "Let's go," he murmured. If Slaine objected, Mizi pretended he didn't see. He got up from his seat and took Slaine by the hand again, pulling him out of the booth and leading him out of the restaurant. "Thanks, Mandy," he called to the hostess as he pulled open the door, "It's all on the table." He squeezed Slaine's hand so that it couldn't be yanked from his grip as he walked and led the younger one into an alleyway behind the restaurant. Once in the deserted alley, Mizi let go of his hand, but didn't turn around. He took a deep breath. "I make you uncomfortable, don't I?" he asked quietly, rhetorically. He didn't expect a response. "If there's something bothering you, I wish you'd just tell me..." The brunette turned around and gazed at Slaine with rather frustrated eyes. "You don't have to do couple things. This does not even have to be a date! If we make such good friends, then what are you trying to prove?!" he asked, voice raising slightly at the end in an exasperated way. All the doubts and questions, worries and insecurities were resurfacing in Mizi's head. He was struggling. No one had made him feel like this since Val. He wasn't even sure he liked this feeling of interest in another. He really liked Slaine, but in his mind, the boy was rather 'off-limits,' right? Shinto wouldn't be gone forever. It was silly to try and pretend otherwise.

Through his embarassment, Slaine felt a sense of warmth when Mizi hand slid into his own. Such a simple act of affection yet it added up to so much. He only hoped the other felt a similar spark as he did. Right when he thought he could become comfortable with that soft hand in his own, it was gone. He now held nothing but air, emptiness. "Mizi, what's wr-" he started but was cut off once he was pulled from the booth. He couldn't help but feel like a child being pulled out of public by an agitated parent. A frown, along with confusion plastered over his face, the young waiter didn't object to being dragged from the restraunt. Slaine's confusion only rose when he was lead to.. an alleyway? The first question hit him hard, but as Mizi went on it made him feel worse. Because of his inability to be comfortable with public intimacy, he caused Mizi to be upset with him. What are you trying to prove? he asked. To him, that was his answer to the day's question. Apparently Mizi didn't share similar feelings as he had hoped. So what should be said? ".. I'm sorry, Mizi," he said softly, almost inaudily. His tone was more than sincere as it was sorrowful with his actions. In his eyes, he had commited an immense tragedy toward the other. "I didn't lie.. I really did want this to be a date." He couldn't stand looking into Mizi hard eyes much longer. His own gaze fell to the side and he rubbed his own forearm. "You see, I.. I like you, Mizi." He spoke the words that probably would have never surfaced if they remained in the restraunt. "I know I never said anything before, and I understand if you don't feel the same way, but.. I like you, and I.. want to be more than just.. friends." Once the last word was said, he bit his bottom lip and turned so his side was now facing Mizi.

Mizi felt rather badly for being so harsh. It was so unlike him. He would never normally speak to Slaine in such a manner. But there was a part of him that couldn't help getting a bit upset.
Slaine's tone stunned him. He could tell that now that they were alone, the other wasn't putting on a front of any kind. The apology washed over him... and then the reassurance that the date wasn't a lie... and then, the words that made Mizi's heart skip a beat and his breath catch in his throat. Slaine... l-liked him? What? How? No, this couldn't be true! No, he must be joking. This was all a lie. Or a haunting dream. Mizi couldn't tell. His violet eyes widened in shock. As the waiter went on, his words registered with Mizi though they seemed so far away. He wanted to be m-more than friends? Mizi couldn't believe that. He wanted to, but he just couldn't!
Mizi suddenly felt light-headed and his body shook slightly. Disbelieving violet eyes stared at Slaine.
"Don't say that. Don't say things you don't mean. You're only teasing me. Stop it, okay? Just STOP it! Don't act as though you've never noticed what a fool I make of myself around you. I really like you, Slaine! But obviously... you always had your sights set a bit higher than Mizi Weller." His last sentence ran off his tongue bitterly. The brunette put a hand against the wall beside them to brace himself from trembling so badly. He was, of course, referring to Shinto. "Slaine," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, "Shinto won't be gone forever." His intent was to imply the relationship he assumed existed between Slaine and Shinto.

ichinosai "He... The first," and his skin was crawling after that threat. Ashley felt a familiar fear he felt only once, "I don't suppose it will be gentle?" backing up alittle. "Without a struggle, it'll be easier than it would be if you fought," Radevel said. He didn't hesitate as he reached down to pull his shirt over his head and toss it aside. His fully-muscled, yet smoothe chest was now bare. "You're already trapped. Either way it's going to happen."

'I really like you, Slaine'.
Was he going to cry now? It sure felt like it once he felt a moist stinging in the corner of his eyes. But what were the tears for? Either he was overjoyed that Mizi, in fact, did feel the same as him, or sad that the other had become upset. Shinto.. He was mentioning Shinto again. Here this day was meant to tarry thoughts away from the kidnapped boy, yet Mizi again brought him up. How could he get the other to believe him, though? He had already spilled the truth before his feet. Maybe words were just not enough for Mizi Weller.
All in a single, sudden moment, Slaine moved to push Mizi against the alleyway's cold wall. His vision was blurred slightly from the continuing threat of tears, but he managed a stern look straight into the other's eyes. "I'll let you get by with saying a lot of things," he said, his grip on either side of the boy's shoulders. "But never, never try to tell me what I really feel! Just because you're a little older that does not mean I'm stupid to my emotions. I like you, Mizi Weller. You, whatever it is you think you are." The tears now flowed freely down his cheeks as his words flowed as easily from his mouth.
Before allowing Mizi the time to make another objection, Slaine closed the distance between them. He brought his lips forward to connect fully with the older boy's own. Speaking your mind obviously released a new type of courage and boldness.

Even though he is wearing his clothes he felt naked when he looked into his eyes.

He brought his lips forward to connect fully with the older boy's own. Speaking your mind obviously released a new type of courage and boldness. Mizi's back hit the wall and he gazed at the other in shock. This was not the reaction he had expected. Maybe a 'Oh right. Shinto. I didn't mean to say such bogus things. I was caught up in the moment,' or 'Shinto? I certainly don't like Shinto that way,' but being pushed up against a wall in an alley was far from what he had expected Slaine to do. What was going ON? His gaze now captivated by that uncharacteristic stern look the other was giving him, Mizi was forced to listen and absorb every word Slaine said. The warning stung him. Which made him more of a fool: potentially putting himself in a situation that could leave him in the same bad condition Val left him in two years ago by believing Slaine or not believing him, denying his own feelings for the younger one, possibly really hurting Slaine, and crushing something that could've really been great? It left him speechless. Slaine... really did seem to like him. For a split moment, Mizi's head was filled with Val's voice. "I can't believe I ever fell for you, Mizi! It's disgusting. You're disgusting. I'm leaving. I met someone else. I work with him. We've been together for a while now. I never loved you, Mizi. I could never, ever love a..." Violet eyes widened at the sight of the tears now streaming down Slaine's cheeks. Mizi opened his mouth to object, to stop the other's crying, to stop them both from being fools... but he was silenced. Pinned to a wall... with the other's lips pressed to his own; Mizi had no wish to move. Some annoying voice in his head told him to push the waiter away, but Mizi went against it. Slaine's grip on his shoulders limited his range of movement, but the brunette's hand reached up and grabbed the fabric of the youth's t-shirt and pulled him closer. Mizi couldn't deny he'd longed to feel Slaine's lips on his ever since their night together. And Slaine being so close to him... made Val's voice go away. Mizi kissed the dark-haired boy back. It was almost as if he'd been let up to breath for air. Wait a minute. Mizi wasn't breathing. After a few more seconds of enjoying the feeling, Mizi's eyes snapped open and he pressed his hand against Slaine's chest. He needed AIR.

When he felt the other's hand pull him closer to him, Slaine knew he was at least accepting the kiss. That alone made him happier than their previous night of intimacy. He was simply melting into the kiss. It was as if they finally in accord after a day full of wrong guessing and misunderstandings. As much as he wanted to deepen the kiss, he decided against it. It would be best to keep things slow. This was something he wanted to use just to show Mizi how sincere he was when he said he like him. To him, it was one of those moments he wanted to hold onto forever.. but he then felt the other's hands pressing against him. His own eyes slid open to see the older boy's widened, more alert ones. Pulling away quickly, Slaine gasped for air.
"I, umm.. I'm sorry, Mizi," Slaine stammered. It was only then he was even slightly embarassed by his actions, but he was glad he did it. "I, just.. couldn't help it, you know? I thought you weren't going to believe me and all. I'm sorry if you think I'm going too fast." Too fast? How could they be going to fast if they had already had sex once before?
It was then Slaine realized he still had ahold of Mizi's arms. He quickly let go and took a couple steps backward. At least they were in an alley where no one would see them save for perhaps a stray cat. "Are you.. wanting to go home now?" he asked.

In the white-haired man's ears, the sigh was a sound of defeat, a sound of submitting. "Ready to accept what's destined to happen?" he questioned. Whether it was accepted or not, he was still going to have the boy. He again started toward the boy, this time more casually.

Released from the kiss, Mizi gasped as well. His head hung slightly as he took a few deep breaths, his exhalations coming out as pants. One might say the other had stolen his breath away. After a few moments, Mizi gazed back at the other who was trying to excuse himself. An bright pink color stained his cheeks. Somewhat dazed, Mizi remained otherwise expressionless until Slaine let go of his shoulders and asked that horrible question. He snapped back to reality instantaneously and shook his head. "No, I don't. Of course not! You still owe me ice cream, remember?" he managed a small smile. After a few moments of silence, he became nervous. What were they to do now? Would things be different between the two of them? He looked at Slaine anxiously. "Um, Slaine?" he asked quietly, "About the k-kiss..."

The ice cream. Yes! He still had a chance, and apparently Mizi was going to give it to him. At least he wouldn't have to go back home right yet. There he would probably be left to sulk in his room once again. Slaine's shoulders sunk slightly with the last comment. Was Mizi going to reprimand him for the kiss now? "I said I was sorry, Mizi," he defended. He was almost growing tired of the word 'sorry'. "I wouldn't have done it if I knew you didn't want me to. I just.. wanted you to know. I thought that was the only way I could get it through to you." And either Mizi had been sending that message right back through the kiss or he was just taking it for the moment that it was.
