well my little task force will be strictly for city fights (or i would like them to be for that they use bolters and they have a lot of armor

You just wont be able to use it in any official things but most games are between mates so big deal...

However, in the last game we played, the store staff made him remove them as they weren't completed. I was rather upset. I'd rather play ONE shittily painted ork army than one of the 6,000 fully painted marines that shows up.

Not at my house I am the AH. If some kid only had certain illegal ally units then sure but if you can see they went out of there way to fit three basalisks in with there CC kill all SM army then no I dont think so. There is a differance between trying to decide and cheating...

If you think a proxy is okay, you suck. Unless it's something CLOSE. I don't mind someone with a missile launcher saying it's a plasma cannon because they don't have enough to buy the blister yet... but putting down, say... a space marine with bolter and saying it's a terminator master with lightning claw and master crafted somethingorother.... That pushes it way too far. At least if it's a heavy weapon representing a heavy weapon, you'll remember and can see it.
