The warm feeling in his stomach had returned. He wasn't sure if it was because of the luke-warm hot chocolate or...something else. At least the sensation kept his mind off of, more or less, depressing subjects. As Haro listened while the other listed his social life in a few choice words, the boy let his eyes trail across the counter.

Looking up, the boy was going to explain his nonexistant social life, but faultered as Shin continued. Suddenly unsure of himself, the boy murmured in response, "I'll...get over it." It could've been worse, right? He could've still been with Wei... "I...I think, anyway," he added, not exactly commenting on anything else, he didn't want to think about more sad things...

Catching Shin's eyes, for possibly only a moment, Haro continued, "C-could...you help me... with that?"

---

Flinching at the voice, Wei watched with a dark look as Vi and Chang made their exit. Turning around with a cool expression, Wei attempted to smile, but the supposed smile only came out as a half-hearted glimmer of interest.

"Why are you out here?" He asked in a demanding tone, sounding much more angry than he was.

Hadn't he told him to stay inside? It had been for his own protection...to protect the kitten from the cold, creepy hobos, but more importanly from him. He hadn't wanted to hurt him somehow in his previousy enraged state of mind.

Hehe. ^^; Sorry. I just have a million+1 characters.

Okayokay. I have my main boy, Haro (notice his profile on page 1 X3) who Mie roleplays with her Shin (tiger boy) with. I also rp Haro's...err...I don't really know what to call him, but Wei...the b*****d? Vi and Chang are twins (and are side characters) that live in the same apatment building as Wei. Liao (Mie's charrie) is staying with Wei becaus he doesn't have an apartment yet of his own. Penn is Lliao's violin teacher...thing. Benji is also a side character of mine, just a strained friend of Wei's. You might see Ryan (Shin's cousin) sometime or another, or Shin's mom somewhere mixed into it...but yeah, that's all my characters and Mie's that have anything to do with our storyline. I'm sure she can explain Bo and her other characters.

For further referance. I always type ou Haro responses in this font.
For Wei/Vi/ or Chang I always use bold font.
For solely Benji posts I use orange.

"S-sorry..." the bright-haired boy stammored, eyes dropping. His cheeks burned with embarrassment. "I... went out to get some sheet music..." he explained. "And now... now I can't remember which room number is yours - or... well, I don't have a key, anyway, so it wouldn't matter." He wasn't sure why he was suddenly feeling so bad. He didn't like it when others were angry - especially his mother - but this felt... different. He knew Wei's oppinions mattered to him. The other had made an effort - even if it was a slight one - to understand the boy and even help him. He had to appriciate that and couldn't help at least somewhat liking the snake, even if he could be a b*****d.

**

Shin nodded. "Of course I'll help you... I... I want to help you and I just... I want you to be happy, is all..." he murmured slowly, a small smile spreading across his lips. "I... if I could, I would make you forget about Wei... and make him just... go away... I know I can;t exactly do that, but I can try my best to help you away from him, even the smallest bit."

((Bleh. Sorry for the major crapness of Shin.

@Pardalis: Uhmm... Wei+Chang+Vi don't have profiles, and are Tato's. So is Haro.

Mine are Liao, Penn (no profile) and Shin... and Ryan, but he doesn't really count. All afformentioned charas are in not the same place as your chara.

Bo is mine and Adrian is Dorebit's and they are both in the bookshop.

Does that help?))

Character Name: Wei (Gave him a last name a while ago but I forget it. I'm so good.)
Sex: male
Age: 21
Appearance: Tan skin. Black hair. Green eyes. Many piercings.
Picture (optional): Here and color
Personality: He's a hateful/vengeful sort of guy. He will sometimes lapse into stages of guilt and try to be nice, but such mood swings are infrequent.
History: I can't give away everything just yet, but he had some sort of twisted past with Haro that included much blood and tears. He was Cal's neighbor (man who owned Haro and Lou) before said neighbor moved.
Occupation: Being a b*****d. Pissing off Lou and Chang. Hating Shin.
Animal type: Cottonmouth snake

-------YES. PROFILE. Damn, I don't have time to write any responses. Tootles for now. <3

Wei only half listened to the boy's whimpery explanation, he was more interested in the distraught look upon the kitten's face. Quirking a pierced brow, the young man shook his head slightly in response. "It's fine, I just didn't want some cute little midget like yourself running around the city without supervision, who knows what sort of creepy stalkers hang around in broad daylight," he explained in a teasing voice, a grin brightening his otherwise bored features. Unlocking the main enterance to the complex with a swipe of a card, the snake continued, ruffling the boy's hair, "Come on, you okay? You look colder than me," he murmured, eyeing the boy's rosy complexion.

----

Haro looked down, peering into his mug, watching the frothy layer of cocoa swirl around and around and even more still. "Mm, I'm almost glad...not-" Shaking his head, Haro looked up, starting again, "I'm not glad for what he did as a whole but...but I do know there's some good from it. I-..." Blushing softly, the small teen brushed strands of hair away from his face, "Some things are...are...seem better because...because he made me feel so bad," he murmured, not quite sure if he was making much sense. Looking up with a sweet smile, Haro added, "He certainly didn't kiss me like you do." Shin's kisses weren't rough or full of blood.

Haro stared once more into his glass, "He...didn't hold me the way you do either... He- He isn't much like you at all."

"I'm not a midgit--!!" he began, his protesting setting his lips into a deffinate pout. "And anyway, I wasn't alone..." he added, his voice trailing away to a slight mumble. Wei hadn't known that and he would probably ask - and Liao did NOT want to talk about Penn's stupid... stupidness!!! But he had already spoken and he couldn't take it back. He followed the other through the gates. He was cold... but that wasn't why his face was burning. Or maybe it was why... Yes, that would be best. He was only flushed from the biting winter air, nothing else.

**

"Mmm... well, that's good. That I'm not at all like him, I mean..." Shin had always - ever since he had discovered some of the boy's past - always been afraid of hurting Haro and aking the boy fear him, just as he feared Wei. No matter what, he did not want that. Not ever. He leaned over and gave Haro a small kiss on the cheek, his lips warm from smiling.

((Blehhhh... "lips warm from smiling." Pffft. I so suck at Shin right now. Dx ))

The Shopkeeper smiled at Michael and nodded to Bo before calling over his shoulder to Adrian, "more hot water and biscuits, please, Adrian!"

Before the order had come Adrian already was heading to the back room to get the hot water and cookies. He grabbed the steaming kettle and the second tin of sweets before heading back to the counter, the whole while thinking that if the old man wanted a tea party he could get his own items and host his guests. Adrian wasn't his servant.
With grace he set the tin down next to the nearly emtpy one and then easily poured some of the hot water into an extra glass and handed it to the new boy. Adrian's eyes cool eyes flickered from on boy to the other before taking a few steps back so he could lean against the bookshelves. Might as well stay close, he had a feeling he wouldn't be getting any shelving down with these customers here.

"My, my boy, can you read minds? It took you about a quarter of the time I thought it would for you to bring this out to us." The Shopkeeper smiled and Adrian rolled his eyes.

"Thank you"Micheal took the cup watching Adrian, slightly uneasy by his look for an unknown reason. His eyes moved to the shopkeeper as he spoke. "It's not mind reading, it's his hearing..." he mumbled to himself hiding his nose and mouth behind the cup for a moment looking back at the other. His nose twitched slightly as he tried to figure what the other smell was, some kind of bug was the strongst he told himself beind the number of others.

Adrian's eyes snapped to Michael's before he stood and started to leave. "I'm going back to shelving, Old Man."
He knew the one boy was a cat, and he forgot how many animal scents covered the other boy, enough to make him dizzy. He had a feeling the other boy just lived with animals, but know that there was a cat amongst them he wasn't so sure. He was a grey fox, he didn't know how to act around domestic creatures. When they ventured in to the woods they were food... he doubted that was the mindset here. It was there territory, and he was trying to get by.

"Going back to work already Adrian? But I thought it would be good for you to be more social, make some friends and all."

Adrian halted unsure of what action he should take.

Meeting the others eyes he unconsciencly blinked. He glanced around as he left, maybe it would be good to look for the book now, but he looked back when his boss suggested he be more social. In fact maybe that's why he was here also, Tyler had a way of trying to get him to make friends, date, hook him up and such yet the b*****d hardly had any friends himself and he was around others so little his own family didn't even know which gender he prefered. To attempt to keep him mind off the multiple smells from the other by inhaling calmly that of the tea.

Again, Bo cursed his nearly useless nose. There was an energy of bristling uncertainty between the book shelver and the newly arrived customer - almost like a cat an dog. Or, at least, a civilized dog and cat. Having spent the majority of his life either in the pet shop or his mother's vetenary clinic, he knew the ways animals interacted - the domestic and not quite domestic ones, at least. He frowned and bent lower over his book, another cookie finding its way into his mouth.

Adrian sighed and leaned back against the wall. His eyes watching both the boys with curiousity that was masked with irritation. He looked at the cat... and pondered. Feline-- that was the specific term for a cat. Canine-- dog, vulipus-- fox. All were different. And his breed was even strange in the family he was part of. Grey foxes could climb trees, nice to hide their scent from dogs... he mental shook his head to clear his thoughts.
He looked at the petit male that was buried in his book... he was unique too, Adrian just couldn't put his finger on it.

It was then that Dov, one of Bonifass' older brothers, entered the shop. He was very tall and had an extra long neck - like a model. His hair was an off-white with streaks of an orange-yellow and bits of brown. He didn't look remotely like his brother - the only characteristic they shared was the color of their eyes (black) - but the moment he walked in and spotted Bo, a wide grin spread across his face. "Booo," he called. "Bonifass!"

Bo looked up, looking irritated. This one was a particularly irksome brother. And he was tall, which only helped to make Bo dislike him more, having always been on the "short end of the deal," as his brothers would have jested. Even worse, he was the only short one in his family. Everyone else took after his tall, beautiful mother while his features mainly resembled his short, stooped father. "Go away, Dov," he replied, a frown wrinkling across his brow.

((Can anyone guess what animal Dov is? xD Hint: you probably won't be able to guess it at first. Hint2.0: As for hair, when it transfers to animal, think splotches instead of stripes. ;-D ))

Finally micheal took his eyes off the other jumping slightly as another wlaked in, nearly chocking on the small mouthful of tea. He looked up to the others brother and couldn't help but glare it him slightly. Damn tall people. Hearing the other boy speak he looked up at him and then the other who spoke, it seemed the two were firends but the younger didn't like the fact.
