Above deck, Dax was down on his knees at the edge of the boat. Being on the flowing waters was fine for the first few hours, but once the night rolled around and he tried to get some sleep, the slight rocking of the ship began to get to him. He felt light-headed. Despite his uncomfortable situation, he couldn't help but notice how peaceful it was out on the water, especially at night with no bickering between the boys going on. Black waters stretching out from every end with nothing in sight. It was a particularly cloudy night, blocking out the light of most of the stars above.
Pressing his forehead against the wooden edge, the blonde closed his eyes and listened to the waves lightly crashing into the side of the boat, trying to fight down the sickness that threatened every so often.

Sayael's attention eventually drifted to the blond Ice prince. "Hey, Dax, how's the stomach fairing?" he called, his eyes able to see the other through the darkness. Dax was crouched just barely outside the line of lamplight and to one of another kingdom, his outline would just barely be visible. But Sayael could see him perfectly, his light and dark visions mingling almost seemlessly.

Dax slowly looked over to where he heard the voice while remaining in his slouched position, seeing both Sayael and Faryn in the light of the lamps. He hadn't noticed they had been lit. He wasn't even aware that the other two princes were up on the deck with him. "I'm still alive.. barely," he answered, tone alone indicating how miserable he felt. It wasn't often the teen got sick so this was a slightly foreign unpleasantry for him. "I wish you had warned me beforehand that this was going to happen."

"Mmm, well... I didn't know. I've never been seasick, myself, but Haeri probably thought of it..." he murmured thoughtfully. "Just a moment..." He walked to a side of the ship where there was a small compartment. He opened it and searched until he found a large, battered bottle and took it out. He read the lable carefully, squinting to make out the small, hand-printed text. The paper was laminated so it would make it through water and Sayael was curious as to how to boat man got it to stick to the glass, but this wasn't the time for that. He walked a few paces to where Dax was and offered him the bottle. "Take a sip or so of this... It'll probably taste really bad, but you won't be sea sick any more."

Indeed, Sayael was made quite visible by the lanterns now lit. Faryn nodded and began making his way over.
'Look at those people, F--'
... The prince shut out the memory. He didn't want it; he had an instinct that something wasn't right about it, but more than that he had no desire for a second episode.
Approaching where Sayael was, he was rather curious to see the other disappear into the darkness. He heard Dax's tones come from the shadows and deduced the context of the conversation. So the other was sea sick? 'Ew,' he thought, the sentiment of disgust accompanied only slightly by one of mild compassion. Faryn turned and rested his back against the cabin wall. He scrunched his nose before relaxing it and gazing out at the black waters, whose waves were glanced by a shimmer of moonlight.
"How long has he been down there with me?" Faryn wondered aloud, turning his thoughts into more of a question directed at the two boys on deck.

Mie-tanuki Rosaline nodded slowly, eyes following the movements of fingers fitting the dresses he had worked so hard to create. Absently, his own fingers ran over the tips of other fingers, feeling the callises and indentions made by many hours of needle work. He should... perhaps he should start wearing gloves while he sewed... He didn't want Mue - anyone to feel the callises. His gaze drifted momentarilly to his finger tips, a slight frown on his lips, before peony eyes returned to the scene of the fitting.
((Peony... uhnn... not sure if it's the same color to other's, but in my markers it's a veryvery dark red... It's one of my favorite color. =o )) Sylvia could see her brother and Rosaline enter the room in the reflection of her vanity mirror. She immediately smiled graciously and nodded, earning a little nod from Muertian in return. She, of course, recognized the boy who often made their dresses for the Winter Festival. (I'm assuming that's what they're for.) She was also quite aware that Rosaline was, in fact, not female. He was either a young man... or a VERY underdeveloped preteen girl, which she assumed by his age that he was not.
"Hello Rosaline," she greeted.
With the mention of Rosaline, the younger sister paid no mind to her fitters and turned around to see one of her more favored visitors. Whether he was aware of it or not, Narcissa was never so happy as when she was about to get a new dress. "Rosaline! Oh my gosh! I ADORE this dress. It's so... me," she announced staring at herself in the mirror as she emphasized 'me'. "I love pink!" she praised. Indeed, her pretty pink party dress was a mix of deep hues of peony (yes, PEONY, Mie, fuschia, light pinks, and the cast over by a sheer pink lace in the skirt with a sheer pink shawl.
Some might say the dress was outrageously pink. But for Narcissa, it was exactly how she liked it-- attention-grabbing.
"I think they like them," he commented with a grin to Rosaline

"How long has who what with you?" Sayael asked back, both his tone and expression distracted. It was quite obvious he had neither listened nor thought on the other's words. Then, realising what the other had asked, he replied, "Oh... you mean how long Jillian was down there?" Sayael shrugged, straightening up slightly and peering over at the silvery-haired prince. "Well... he didn't come top deck. After you took over the cabin room, he stayed bellow. I came up to 'steer,' so I haven't the faintest what he's been doing." He frowned slightly, eyes fixed on the other. Then, suddenly, he smiled slightly mischeviously. "Why do you want to know? Is it possible you could be -" and here he gave a huge, fake gasp "- developing feelings for the unlucky b-stard?" He grinned and resumed his place behind the wheel, eyes dancing. It was only a joke.

Dax took the offered bottle and popped off the top. An immediate grimace followed as the scent of the liquid contents wafted up to his nose. It caused his stomach to turn, only adding to his unpleasant seas-sickness. "There's no way this isn't some type of poisonous substance," he said, mostly to himself as he tried to peer into the bottle. He couldn't really see what color the liquid was, being just outside the light of the lamps.
Turning around and sitting, his back against the wooden ship, the blonde held the mouth of the bottle up to his lips. Taking a swift, yet rather large gulp he had to force the drink down his throat. Only a moment later, he took a deep breath, sounding more like a gasp, his face twisted into pure disgust.

Haar shooed off the mistake with a wave of one gloved hand, his other perched against his hip. Darkness kingdom, death kingdom...they were so similar. As commander he really shouldn't have rationalized his fumble in such a way; it didn't sound exactly professional in his mind.
"Well, we can leave whenever you're ready," he murmured, glancing around the lobby area once before turning red eyes towards Alti.
----
"What in hell was that?" Xel peeked out from behind a rather thick trunk and cluster of bushes. Brown eyes swiveled around the large garden, past burning leaves and the like as the dakr haired knight shriveled up the plants he had sprung forth as well as disolving the hunk of ice glinting against the sunlight... Ceris sighed heavily, looking overwhelmingly relieved. "I-...I don't know, you're okay?" He asked, glancing over the older man before completely tackling him. "Gods, I thought you were hurt or- or worse and-" Xel stared wide eyes down at the poor babbling mage.
"I'm fine, I-...you're okay, eh? I just, I'm fine. Really, I-" Trying to reassure the other that he was unharmed, the older man pat the other on the back, fingers brushing through dark purple hair. "See? No lost fingers. Everything's fine," he murmured with a small grin, looking down the garden once th mage had composed himself for the most part.

Rosaline curtseyed to both princesses, greeting them each in turn. He straightened up, beaming, at Narcissa's obvious glee. "I'm glad you like it," he murmured softly. He had tried quite hard to make it pink... with out it becoming too over-bearing. Turning back to glance for a moment at Muertian, Rosaline murmured, "Well... I should hope they like them. I've been working on these for some time..." He flashed a slightly nervous smile and then turned back to the girls. He really had spent a considerable time on this commision. After all, princesses' dresses were not exactly easy to make.

"I'm ready," Alti said, almost before the other had finished speaking. "Really, the sooner we leave, the better. If I stay, your prince's tour guide might decide that I need to know the history and architecture of the laundry room." It was obviously a joke, but he said it in such a bland way that if one had not been listening to his words, they would have thought he was speaking seriously.

If it was a joke, Faryn didn't find Sayael's words very funny. They hit dangerously close to the truth. "Oh, shut up," he muttered. Faryn folded his arms obstinately and looked away from Sayael, turning his back to the boy at the wheel. "That's none of your business," he declared cooly.

Sayael grinned. "Right you are. But you're on my boat and that gives me right to pry," he stated, his logic quite... illogical. Of course, he knew he'd never get much of anything out of Faryn, but it was fun to tease him (so long as no one died). "Mmm... maybe you should go check on Jillian. Make sure he doesn't fall asleep standing and accedently roll all over below decks," he said with a grin. Of course, that would never happen. He doubted that if Jillian ever fell asleep standing that he would for a moment keep his ballance.

((As of now, I am deleting all dead characters so that their positions can be used by others (particularly those of princes). This means the princes of Earth, Light and Storms will be open.
I have a particular interest in the Prince of Light because the Mid Winter Festival is in the Kingdom of Light, so his presence is manditory.
Any objections can be taken up with me in PM.))
