Elliot gave the other a loose hug, just gently holding him. "You're welcome." He murmured, resting his cheek on his head. Was Leo happy? Was he sad? The prince knew the other was pleased beyond words, but the hug ended and he continued walking down the stairs. The unfinished word caught his ears and he hid his smile, looking at the other. "You have done enough, but I keep on doing favors and you keep on repaying me for those favors, so I do more favors." he chuckled "It's a trend, perhaps we should just stop everything to prevent further debt?" A joke, they both would continue to repay debts indirectly. "and you are not mine, you are my friend, there is a difference. Shall I help you with dinner or wake Nix up?"

Leo giggled, "we may have slept late, master, but it is not dinner time yet. we can still safely call it breakfast. though brunch may be more appropriate." they reached the kitchen and he looked around the familure room, seeing ghosts of his parents as they moved about cooking. the echos of their light banter and laughter filled his ears and he had to take a slow, deep breath to steady himself. "if you could wake nix? i am sure you are more than capable of helping in the kitchen, master, but i worry for my sister. it would be easier if i simply made our meal while you woke her." that and he didn't think he would be able to keep a straight face for long while within this room. it had been a gathering place for his family, a place where they had laughed and learned together. it held as many fond memories for him as did the fireplace.

Elliot smiled, glad the other giggled at his excuse for a joke. "The closest I've gotten to food is actually eating it. I've never even seen my meals prepared let alone try to prepare it." he's never had to, he was a prince. Manual labor didn't exist despite being built for it, commoners did that sort of thing. But as Leo agreed to Elliot waking up Nix he nodded, "All right, it shouldn't take long to wake her up. If she's anything like Emily it might, though." Emily hated mornings, probably why she was always quiet so early in the morning. Walking back through the house he quickly found Nix, though it would be a shame to wake her up, she looked pretty happy in her sleep. Her brother being home might have been the cause of that. "Miss Nix." Elliot said, walking closer to the bed though enough to not surprise her. "Miss Nix, it is morning." He gently shook her, curious. Was she a deep sleeper like Emily?

Leo started to prepare a simple meal, finding some meat in the ice box and smiling. they had made sure to bring them things that Elliot would eat. Nix sat up the moment she heard her name and looked at Elliot, but her eyes were still hazed with sleep. she yawned widely and rubbed an eye, looking like every other 6 year old girl with her hair half plastered to the side of her face and half sticking straight up. "nnn, 'rother?" she asked, blinking a few times before focusing on Elliot. "mornin'" she yawned again and stood up on her bed, tottering back and forth as she walked to the end of it and then fell onto Elliot. "head hurts, carry me." and with those words she closed her eyes and fell back to a light sleep

Elliot wasn't surprised at the nearly closed eyes, sleep still on them and her hair looking no different then a bird's nest. "Well good morning." he said with a laugh, doing his best to smooth out her hair as she started to focus on her surroundings. "Your brother is downstairs cooking brunch. Are you hungry?" And stepped away as she got out of bed. She didn't look quite awake, and that was proved as she started to lean on him and slide down, prince catching her before she fell. "All right then, you're lighter then my sisters." he said as he hoisted her into his arms and walked out. No different then a child, that was good. Now what to do with her. "Let's hope the smell of food wakes you up." He said, walking back into the kitchen, adjusting the small child in his arms. It was natural for Elliot and he looked comfortable with it.

Leo looked over when the master came back into the kitchen, but his eyes widened when he saw Nix sleeping on the man's shoulder. "you two look cute-" he bit his lip before moving the cooking food to a back spot where it would cook more slowly. "please, forgive me but-" he hurried to where he rememebered their art supplies being and sure enough found a large peice of paper with a wooden clipboard and a peice of charcoal. he came back to the kitchen and checked the food before holding the baord in his one hand and drawing a quick sketch of the two. he finished in less than a minute and smiled to himself as he set the charcoal aside and the board on a side counter. "sorry, but you looked so cute-" he blushed a little and wiped his hands clean before turning back to finish their breakfast. "i'll paint it for you, if you wish." Nix nuzzled closer to Elliot, but the smell of food and Leo's voice was slowly rousing her. "you're warm-" her hands moved up from where they were hanging and ran through the prince's hair, stopping when she found the other's ears and began to stroke them. "and soft"

"Well I believe Nix is really the more adorable of the two." He commented, unsure what to do as Leo started to move around. What was he looking for? The Falian actually left the room, the lynx standing awkwardly in the kitchen and looking at the food. Would it burn just sitting there? "Le-oh." And he was back again with art supplies. That was right, the male was good at the fine-arts, but was this a picturesque moment? He was just holding a sleeping Nix. "That's fine, you may do whatever you wish. I've no complaints." And smiled before looking down at the girl once she started to mumble. "Your sketches are nice enough, if you wish to paint it you may. Oh, your sister is a touchy sleeper." he said, ears twitching and flinching before relaxing again. Having them touched was foreign, such things stopped past childhood. The triangles appendages flicked forward, Elliot lowering his head and lifting Nix higher so she could continue to stroke and pet them. "Have you ever thought of having a painting done of you and Nix? I think that would be cute."

Leo was serving up the scrambled eggs and cut fruit, the master's plate having bacon on it as well, but he paused at the question. "i-uh, no. i hadn't." the thought didn't occure to him, but he knew there were portraits of his family line since Fali the First. "maybe we should." he finished serving the food and moved to run his finger down Nix's spine in a gesture his mother had often done to wake him in the mornings when he was most tired. "Eeeeeeek-" Nix gasped, arching her back and shivering as her hands clasped the prince's shoulders. "don't do that!" she was fully awake now and glaring at Leo, but the other's smile only made her sigh. "meany." she looked at Elliot who was currently holding her and smiled, "i like this. can i eat on your lap?" "no," Leo said gently, pulling her from the prince and sitting her down on her own chair, "you will sit on the chair like a proper child." he kissed her forehead and laid the food in front of her before setting the table for himself and the master. "it is ready."

"Perhaps it is something you should look into then." He said, not commenting more then that. He knew of good artists in Nalenyr, but if Falia he had little knowledge, and being unsure where Leo decided to stay he wasn't going to comment. Watching Leo wake his sister Elliot couldn't help but chuckle. "Now I know how to wake up my sisters. Is it that unpleasant or just surprising?" And smiled at Nix before looking at Leo, ready to question the odd waker-upper when the smaller princess spoke. She wanted to sit on his lap and eat? Elliot hardly let his own sisters do that. "I'd really prefer you did-" Leo cut in rather quickly, taking his sister and setting her down. "It's better that way, you don't have to worry about me dripping food on you." An excuse he used on his own sister's when he stopped letting them sit on his lap at breakfast. He sat down, looking at the food before to Leo. "Thank you very much for cooking breakfast. Can I just eat or do I wait for you to eat?" It wasn't his home, and despite Leo normally eating after Elliot ate, Elliot wasn't sure whether to eat first or not. Oh, there was a new thought. He never asked so many stupid questions in his life. "This is what it must feel like being Ipo."

Nix giggled, "eat, there's no protocol here." she took a bite of fruit and smiled, "we're family after all." Leo flushed a little at Nix's words, but he didn't say anything as he sat down as well. "you don't need to wait, master. as for the back-" he looked down, smiling, "there is extra nerves along our spines due to our water faie blood." "Like a fish, where most of it's nerves are centered there and on it's fins," Nix supplied, "or a cat who likes his back rubbed." Leo nodded, "so running your finger along the spine sends a sort of shocking sensation." "It tickles!" Nix said, frowning at Leo, but she was still smiling. Leo nodded, "yes, when done lightly it tickles."

"Extra nerves, huh?' Elliot said, disregarding Nix's comment as well. He shouldn't have, but it was better then responding with 'I have family back home' because as far as he was concerned Leo was his family as well. "Well the Kaspian Medical Dictorinary say majority of human nerves are in the back as well, the spine to be specific. They're just encased in bone." He wondered if their studies were humane sometimes to discover so much. "That's interesting," and wrapping the meat around the fruit he ate. "I just rip the blankets of my sisters' beds and pick them up. I have to pick up Emily. I hope her and Annabelle settled their argument." Annabelle's hair would no doubt be longer when they got back.

Leo smiled, "i can see you having to do that with the other two, but Emily suprises me. she seems the time to wake up early." he nodded in agreement, "i am sure they will be fine. maybe the dresses will help them settle down." he looked over at Nix who was already almost finished and shook his head before giving her some of his own. he'd eaten a little, but wasn't hungry. Nix looked over, but smiled and thanked her brother for the extra before digging in. she had a feeling they had erased something from her memories. having mind magic worked on her always made her hungrier than usual, but she wouldn't ask. not yet

"Well she does just to avoid the hassle of the other two." Elliot explained. "Emily plans her mornings the night before and lays everything out, so while I help Annabelle decide clothes and wrestle Martha into something slightly feminine Emily is already ready because she prepared ahead of time. It's an admirable trait, but once I finish with the other two she's back asleep in bed fully dressed." He sighed, rolling the fruit around the plate. "This is partially why the nanny helps them. God help the poor soul that has to deal with them for nearly a month. I lvoe my sisters but they really are a handful, and they're nine now. I remember when they were just born. Pretty soon they'll be able to marry." He gave a small whine at the thought, eating more of his food. "I worry who will marry first out of the three, they're all so different. I feel like Martha will marry a lesser man or someone as strong as her, Annabelle will be a rather bossy wife and Emily will just be happy. But I suppose I'm putting too much thought into this. They did only just turn nine. But they're going to start wearing heels in three years." He was rambling, but he cared very much for the triplets, worrying over them in a way their father should be doing. And speaking of heels, though they wore their childish ones at the moment, would they try wearing young adult ones for their party? Doubtful, they still had small feet. How was the party planning anyway? Was it coming along smoothly? Who was in charge? What about the food? "If I wasn't already born with white hair." He sighed, finishing what was left on his plate.

Nix looked over at Leo, curious, "heels?" she didn't know what that ment. but Leo thought an image to her and she nodded, "oh, a kind of shoe. interesting." she puzzled over them for a time, "wouldn't they hurt? they don't look stable, wouldn't you fall down?" such things were foreign to her. most the people in the forest were barefoot year round. the only time they wore shoes was during the depths of winter when snow covered the earth, but that was just for warmth and they wore thick wolly boots. "strange." Leo laughed, "they do hurt at first, but you get used to them." he had been made to wear heels on occasion by the masters at parties so as to show off his legs and bottom. "i am sure they shall be fine, master. there is still seven years at least before they are of marrying age, they are still children. it is not nearly time for you to worry of such things." he had a feeling he already knew who emily would wish to marry though. "speaking of clothing, if indirectly, master are you too warm? you clothing is heavy and not suited for the forest. would you like something lighter?"

Your Missing Period "I suppose they hurt after a while, my mother only wore lightly heeled slippers, she enjoyed her height but she was a woman and allowed to be short." And here he was a man of twenty but nowhere close to the height of his father, it was a sad fate his mother bestowed upon him. "Stuck here wearing boots that add little more then an inch.' he grumbled, controlling his minor anger at nature and calming down. "But it takes practice, you start off with smaller heels before working toward taller ones. Normally tall shoes are for the royal family and nobles in my country." He explained. He looked back at Leo and nodded. "I have all the time in the world to worry, and I already have white hair, who's to notice my worry?" And chuckled. "But perhaps, but that does not mean they won't fall in love early with a boy, a certain dishwasher boy." He gripped the fork a little tighter, keeping a calm face. "Nothing wrong with that, children will be children, and cryers.' Elliot had been a cryer, he couldn't hate Justin for it. "Hm? Clothing?" Silver eyes looked to his long sleeves and pants. Perhaps they were a bit thick, a different type of wool for the mountain air. The forest was warm, he just had to drink lots of water. "I'm sure I'll be fine. A little heat won't kill me. I managed in Reta after all and you know as well as I that they are industrialized. They're a country heated by machinery." Trees meant shade, he'd be fine. He was a stubborn prince indeed.
