yea...
they probably should be too...
Teachers get sucky pay considering they're the ones educating the people
who will one day be in charge...of everything...

My little Cissy was writing a book as some point on a new form of government...
or was it society?
anyways, it placed teachers as the highest viewed job, the best pay, the most respected...

sounds like a good plan to me!

3nodding He PMs me as well...and ditto on the literacy aspect, but no need to publicly announce it, especially for new members? Perhaps a private PM would do in the future? sweatdrop

10 years? Are you sure? xd

All I know is that a salary freeze was enforced within the past few years if not more recently, but I'm sure they still received raises before Campbell.....

But that doesn't mean I'm against the teachers lol. It's just a shame that they had to get the students involved, and how stubborn the government is being. sweatdrop

He PMed me as well.
And as far as the strike goes, they aren't striking for money they're striking because their rights and benefeits are being taken away.

heck, if they have it as bad as our teachers had it, and some of them still do
then they have every right in the world to strike for money...
teachers need to eat too...
and considering how much education a teacher has to have in order to be certified,
they should get paid WAY more than they do...
I mean, I think most people pay all the money for college with the idea that they'd be paid back...
I think we also think that we'd be paid a little more than back...
and teachers don't...
Secondary teachers alone have to get a bachelor's degree in whatever feild they want to teach in
(4 years of college)
and then get their cridentials
(another 1 to 2 years of class and internship)
and they don't get paid for their work untill maybe their very last year of school...
and then the government thinks they can pay them
about the same as an uneducated person makes
and then when ever the governement needs money, they think
"oh, let's just take it from the schools, they're just kids, they don't care..."
Well, I'm sorry, but I DO care
when schools have to use history books that talk about the Clinton/Luinsky(sp?) scandal as
"trouble ahead"
rolleyes
and teachers have to buy tissues if they want them for their classroom

Why not? I said it politely. I did not flame or attempt to belittle him. I merely stated that his typing could use some work. Everyone can see it. Besides, I'm sure he knows he types that way, though since he's new I doubt he realized that people don't tend to type in such a manner on gaia. Furthermore, I've yet to see anyone disagree.
