With the heart of a dragon we ride" Drago Alta - 2nd year Gryffindor Drago looked at Al as she explained what happened. So it was about Richard. Drago already knew the part about Richard being a jerk just from the way he smirked at him during the wedding. Lucas made a deal with the Slytherin girl he heard all those bad rumors about? Drago didn't doubt that Richard deserved to be sent to the hospital wing. If he wasn't in there already, Drago would go after him right now, putting Al in such a state. Drago wanted to do anything to stop her from calling herself stupid and saying that he didn't deserve her. He noticed that she had taken of the dreaded ruby necklace that she'd been wearing since she got it. He gave her a long kiss on the lips and put as much of his love for her into it as he could. When he pulled away, he looked her right in the eyes. "You are not stupid. No matter what happens, my feelings for you will never change. I love you. So you made a mistake, everyone does. Look at me when I almost attacked Micheal. Richard is the stupid one, not you." He said this all with a soft gentle voice. He wasn't angry at her. He felt sad that someone dared to do this to her. He just hoped that she would stop crying.  "We are flying on wings in winter sky with fire burning deep inside

   I MIGHT LOSE MY MIND FOR A WHILE
BUT I'LL BE FINE HAVE YOU HEARD THERE'S THIS THING THAT HEALS AND IT'S CALLED TIME ▂▃▃▄▄▄▅▅▅▅▄▄▄▃▃▂ Fionna nodded in agreement. "Good idea." She said to him and followed him towards the portrait hole. She hoped everything would work out with Drago and Al and their relationship would be able to uphold this crash. Fionna was so glad that Lucas had taken her back with open arms. She wouldn't know what she would do with out him and that was why she needed to send a letter to Riley. She was getting inspired.
She thought for a moment and decided that the faster she sent to letter the faster she would get what she needed and she said, "Actually, could we head to the owlrey first? I've gotta send Riley a letter." She didn't really what Lucas knowing the nature of it. It was going to be a surprise. She had to get the item quickly though so she could begin.

"You...you really mean that?" She sobbed. She looked up into his eyes and smiled, the feel of his lips on hers again...much better than Richard's kiss, anyways. How could she be so foolish?
She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him, her eyes closing slowly and the corners of her mouth upturned in a smile as her lips pressed against his.
Her heart was going to burst, she was so happy, she just couldn't let go of him. The kiss lasted plenty long enough to make up for those she hadn't given him recently. When their lips parted, she just sat down with him on the couch and snuggled up with him on the couch. She took the necklace, worth so much money, that had caused too much pain.
She held it out in the palm of her hand, then threw it into the common room fire. She wasn't sure if rubies could really burn, but if they didn't, a house elf would throw out the sooty gem. She didn't want it anymore.

He held her in a hug on the couch and never wanted to let her go. He tried to hide a smile as he watched her throw the necklace in the fire. Good riddance. He thought to himself. He looked back at Al. Nothing could stop him from loving her. Just being around her made him happy. "I don't like seeing you cry. Whoever makes someone as beautiful as you cry, better look out. They'll have me to answer to." He said giving her a soft smile."We are flying on wings in winter sky with fire burning deep inside

With the heart of a dragon we ride" Drago Alta - 2nd year Gryffindor Drago nodded. He just wanted to be here with Al. Nothing more needed to be said on the subject. He didn't want her to feel bad. This wasn't her fault. It was that rat Richard's fault. He layed his head on top of hers and starred into the fire. Now all that was left was to forget about Richard. The way it sounded, he wouldn't be bothering them anytime soon. He wondered what that Slytherin girl did to Richard to send him to the hospital wing. Drago would have to thank Lucas and Fionna afterwards for their help. Of coarse, he didn't know how brutal Rhi had attacked Richard, so he was just grateful."We are flying on wings in winter sky with fire burning deep inside

Al and Drago sat there a while, not even speaking. But they didn't need to. There was no awakward silence, just the sound of the common room fire flames crackling as the necklace flickered in the grate.
"Let's go get something to eat." She said after a while. "I'm starving." She kissed his cheek and held his hand as she stood up and walked with him to the portrait hole.
When she reached the fat lady, she took one last glance at rhe ruby, sizzling in the fire. She gave it one last smirk, turned away, and never looked back. If she saw Richard, which she probably would even if he was really beat up, she wouldn't talk to him. She wasn't about to waste her time on someone like him. She still didn't like Rhiannon more, but she had to admit it...well played, Rhi. Well played.

Lucas and Fionna went back up the common room and edged close to the fire. Lucas grinned and nudged her, pointing into the fire's depths. There was the ruby, the necklace Richard had used. Not a bad place for it, really.
"I'll go get the guitars." He said, kissing her cheek and heading upstairs.
Thankfully, he'd packed it. He'd packed a lot, really, he didn't trust his parents with all his precious instruments. He'd had undetectable extension charms on plenty of little things to fit all of them. At last, he pulled out two guitars from one guitar case. He headed back down to the common room and handed Fionna the other guitar he had brought. It was a simple acoustic.
"Here, you can keep it. " He said. He didn't use it anymore, so Fionna could keep it forever if she wanted. He never used it anymore, really.

I MIGHT LOSE MY MIND FOR A WHILE
BUT I'LL BE FINE HAVE YOU HEARD THERE'S THIS THING THAT HEALS AND IT'S CALLED TIME ▂▃▃▄▄▄▅▅▅▅▄▄▄▃▃▂ Fionna sat on the couch closest to the fire and smiled when she saw the ruby necklace in there. She didn't think it would actually burn, but she could be wrong. She nodded at Lucas and sat by the fire letting it warm her up. She kicked off her shoes and pulled her legs up onto the couch so she sat criss-cross.
She smiled when Lucas returned and gratefully accepted the guitar from Lucas. Even if it was simple she still love it. "Thanks Lucas!" She said and kissed him on the cheek. "And In return you can have your coat back!" She said grinning as she took it off and handed it to him.
Fionna took the guitar in her hands and placed it how she remembered Lucas doing. It was a foreign object to her actually. She had never held a guitar before. "So..." She said and let her fingers slide across the strings. "What am I doing." She added with a small laugh. Fionna knew none of the notes or fingerings and was a bit worried about it all.

Lucas grinned and put his coat on the couch. Well for starters, she already knew how to hold the guitar.
"Alright, so you already know notes from piano, which is awesome because I couldn't explain all that. Now, the notes on guitar are really annoying because the 6 strings honestly are nothing like do mi so. But, simple enough once you get the hang of it. Anyways...in order from the string closest to you down, the notes are E, A, D, G, B, E. Each fret, which is each space here, is a half-step."
It was odd explaining it to her, for once he was actually better at something than she was. This was certainly a first. She got better grades because of her being at Hogwarts and not learning from the school of Carter, she was a prefect, better at Quidditch, and now, she'd be good at piano and guitar. Not to self, don't teach Fionna any other instrument or she'll be too perfect.

She made up a little saying to help her remember them on the spot as well. Even At Dinner Guys Beat Enemies. It was just something completely random but she usually remembers the first thing that comes into her head.
Remembering each fret is a half step was easy enough except there were a lot of half steps. Guitar seemed a lot more complicated than she had thought at first. "Right so...where would an F be?" She asked. That was the easiest way to find out how the frets worked. She was starting to rethink this a bit, but that was silly because it was just good to be with Lucas and doing something with him. Plus, Lucas seemed to take pride in knowing more about music than her.

"Well, for the first string, it would be the first fret, so you put your finger on the first space. Since a half step up from E is F, so you just count the half steps to get to a note on each string."
He smiled at her and played a major C chord, the basic do-mi-so-do. He knew Fionna and him were probably on the same level on piano, it just felt good to be better at something than most people, to know he at least had some talent. Playing all these instruments wasn't a waste of time, it was really a great hobby. It had always made him happier, just relaxed. It cleared his mind, kinda like how flying did. When you flew, you could just leave all your problems down on the ground. Same with playing guitar, piano, sax, the harp...

She then played the C major chord as Lucas did but much slower. She smiled at him when she got it though. This was a lot more confusing than the piano. She hoped to play kind of like Lucas in the future. Of course, she could never be as good as him. He was just so amazing at all his instruments.
She slowly fingered and played some notes and played a few scales which took her a bit to figure out and she had to look at where her fingers were on both hands, but she was slowly getting it. "This isn't as hard as I thought it would be. Then again I thought it would be one of the hardest things I've ever done." She told him smiling. It would just take some getting use to and getting acquainted with the various strings and such.

Lucas beamed.
"It's not that difficult to learn, but it's a bit tricky to play. The callouses you'll get on your fingers probably won't be too fun at first, and you might need to cut your nails, but honestly, I have no doubt you'll be great a lot quicker than I was."
He had to be honest and tell her the worst parts of it, not to be discouraging but because he didn't want it to seem like he was lying to her. He handed her a guitar pick, a really nice red one, and showed her how to strum properly.
"You're a natural, it's amazing how easily you pick things up." He told her after a little while.
After that, he worked on changing chords with her, from major to minor. Individual notes was really difficult, but once you learned one string instrument, it made it so much easier to pick up the rest. A violin, a ukulele, a harp. Guitar was his staple, really. It was one of his favorite instruments, and Fionna was his favorite person. There was no where he'd rather be.

It would take a while for her to be able to play anything on it. It was no bother to have to cut her nails. She had to do that anyways for piano and plus she was sometimes tempted to pick at her nails when she got restless. "But I'll never be as good as you." She said smiling at him.
Fionna was glad to hear she was a natural and couldn't keep a blush off her face. She picked things up easily and they often stuck with her. She couldn't wait to tell Riley about learning Guitar. He would be so jealous. Fionna tried to keep up with Lucas, but she struggled to get the correct notes quickly. It became easier as she repeatedly did them and found a pattern, but she still needed some practice.
