Mikki laughed as Miranda made her way into the common room. It definitely was a sight. She shook her head, and as Carrigan was speaking, she felt a wall build up around him. She could tell he didn't want to be asked questions. When Miranda asked, Mikki wanted to pull her aside. Poor Carrigan. No, no, no. You can't pull her aside, it'd just get awkward, Mikki thought. She grabbed a juice box and sat in her poofy chair, guiltily eaves-dropping on their conversation.

Lyra sat in a chair near Mikki, eaves-dropping on Miranda and Carrigan's conversation, as she could tell Mikki was doing, too. She wanted to hear his answer to Miranda's question

[[Drat it all, I vanished again...Excuse: working on stuff for this event. You'll see what I mean soon enough.]]
Alutian shrugged and walked over to stir up the fire a little. "No idea how long we'll be in here. All I know is that the House Elves are working on fixing up an area for everyone to gather in - I think it's in the Great Hall - and somehow we'll be told when to move down there. Oh, and I need to know: is anyone else outside this common room right now? We need to get everyone inside. I kept seeing things moving about out there on the grounds, and I don't like it."

Miranda looks at Alutian. "I don't think anyone is outside right now...." She looks out the window also seeing figures moving in the dark. "Maybe those are...just...harmless creatures...?" Miranda says as a question. "And if they're not, I pity whoever it outside right now."

Miranda looked at Alutian and then at the broken window on the door and couldn't help but laugh a little. "I'm pretty sure everyone is in now, and if they're not, we can let them in."

Mikki joined in with the others conversation, knowing Carrigan probably wouldn't want her listening anyway. "Yeah, what with that broken window I think we're good." Mikki laughed. She went over and looked out of the unbroken window. She saw a shadow come out from the forest, shuddered, and went back and balled up in her poofy chair.

Princess noticing the water on the end table grabs it and opens the top and drinks it quickly. Her throat was parched. In the middle of her guzzle she glances in the direction of Carrigan and slowly stops drinking, and puts down the water bottle. She hears him say 'Excuse Me' and has no idea what he is excusing himself for at the moment. She quickly adverts her eyes and comments "Isn't anyone going to try and repair the window?? Do we have some tarp or something to cover it with? Mikki has duct tape we can use." She then looks down in her lap not forgetting about Carrigan and tries to think really hard as to what he could possibly be referring too to pardon himself. She suddenly remembers her dream and a slow shock appears on her face. She blushes with embarrassment and quickly tries to get Mikki's attention--to see if she had any outbursts while asleep.
Princess tugs on mikki's shirt until she turns around. She glances around the room and notices Alutian has entered the common room. "Oh Hi Alutian, long time no see! Don't worry I have had things under control for you. Although I find this blackout to be extremely unusual. Please let me know if you or the other heads of house need any assistance with getting the problem fixed, I would love to help out."

Just when Princess was about to return to tugging on Mikki's shirt, she noticed her owl Nickodemus arriving with a post. "hmmm, I wonder what this letter is regarding." She thought to herself. She gave Nick a bite of the snacks going around, kissed his head, and said "Go on and play Nickodemus." Princess carefully opened her letter and it read.
"Grades for COMC -- 118 points received for final exam
Grades for Charms ---138 points received for final exam." After reading this Princess' face grows a huge grin and she jumps up off the couch, and says "I got us 256 extra house cup points!! YAY!!!"
She didn't realize the shock she gave everyone until a couple of minutes had passed and she stopped jumping up and down. She carefully took back her seat on the couch and continued to tug on Mikki's shirt--hoping against hope that she didn't shout out anything silly in her sleep in regards to Carrigan.

Princess kept eyeing the window, and tugging Mikki's shirt trying to grab the fellow ravenclaw's attention before Carrigan looked away. He was so dashing, with his hair tossled. She began to daydream as she was careful about being obvious to Carrigan.

Mikki, obviously spacing, suddenly noticed tugging on her shirt. She shook her head and looked over to see the source of the tugging. "What's up?" she asked once she saw it was Princess. She thought she may know what the question was, but decided to wait. It could something else entirely. Maybe. Probably not.

[[Actually, the Blackout is part of the event. So technically, it's started. We just don't have all the fun stuff up, or all the students in the same place.]]
"Hmm. Not sure I want to cover the window with anything opaque," Alutian said, also eyeing the window and the odd shapes outside. They could be relatively harmless, like thestrals or centaurs...then again..."Better to be on the safe side," she decided. "Excuse me for a minute. I'll be right back."
With that, Alutian bounded up the dormitory stairs.

Lyra jumped as Princess started yelling and then jumping up and down. "Good job, Princess." Seeing Alutian disappear up the stairs, Lyra wondered what she was going to get, then quickly became bored and decided to read again.

Princess relieved that Mikki finally acknowledged her bent towards her friend and whispered in a somewhat timid voice: "Did I do or say anything while I was sleeping here on the couch. I mean did I yell at someone in my sleep or say anything that would embarrass me in regards to Carrigan?" Princess nervously continued to admire Carrigan from afar and eventually tried to stop. She kept shifting her eyes from one side of the room to the other. She then noticed Alutian going upstairs, "Hmmm I hope she is getting something to cover that window Miranda busted." Princess had a slightly shocked look on her face because she didn't think little Miranda was strong enough to break the window to begin with, while wanting to get inside hogwarts.
