Helaku, seeing as he was really no longer needed, attempted to excuse himself and do something useful than stand there and get in the way of a reuinion between long-time friends. "Well, uh.. I'm going to go hunt." And with that, he dipped his head respectfully to the others and was off in a flash.
Whisper smiled thankfully towards Laku, knowing that she should at least eat to keep herself alive. After he left, she turned back towards her two friends, her tail wagging faster than ever now that she was reunited with them. It was as if they were younger again, except Ieshia was wounded and Whisp was severely malnourished...
"It's been a long time!" she said excitedly. "So happy you two made it here, the lands really nice." She was shortening her sentences again, but only because she was really nervous. Just recently her mate and former mate had both gone missing. They did it wihout warning and so she was beginning to grow very worried, thus why she wasn't even eating properly. But she didn't want to worry her friends, so she sat down comfortably and tried to hide it.
The green she-wolf wasn't too good at it though... especially since she just bluntly ignored Ieshia's comment on her state of being. Something was definitely wrong with the once happy and healthy Whisp.
"How've you been?" The question was intended for both, and she hoped they wouldn't pry too far into her own well-being..

When it came to the well being of her friends, Ieshia was not easily fooled. She could tell Whisper was upset right off the bat, and probably would have been able to do so even if Whisper was good at hiding things. A frown slowly formed on her maw at this. She had been worried to see Whisper in such a bad shape from the start...now this didn't seem to be leading in a good direction.
"Well...we had a bad run in with another wolf, but otherwise I think we're ok...but you don't seem to be..." Ieshia wasn't going to waste her breath holding back her concern. She wanted to know what was wrong, and that's that, "What's going on?"

Vitus watched as Helaku went off, nice of him to let the tree talk for a while. Turning his eyes back to his first friend he looked her over. Other then being quite skiny she looked to be quite worried...Although he couldn't be sure. There was a part of her that seemed to say she wasn't worried, yet the way she was acting seemed to prove otherwise. He looked over to Ieshia as she spoke nodding in agreement with her question to Whisper.

Suddenly Whisper collapsed. Not the faint sort of collapse, but rather the collapse of someone who just couldn't take it anymore. She closed her eyes and sank down to her belly, ears pressed back against her skull in a nervous fashion.
"Fute and Kouji disappeared." It was quiet, barely even audible. "They didn't tell me... I'm so worried about them." Her tail lay still on the ground behind her, showing that it hadn't been wagged in days, maybe weeks--apart from today when she came upon Ieshia and Vitus. "Fute was my mate... and Kouji was a close friend. Why would they leave?" The last part of her speaking was more of her thinking out loud than a question for her two oldest friends.
"I've been searching for them... not... ehm, eating." Then the green she-wolf unexpectedly went into a coughing fit. What was she doing to herself? She was sick and she knew it... yet she refused to do anything about it.
It was as if... she didn't want to live if Kouji and Fute weren't there for her.

Ieshia's dark ears flickered back and her eyes narrowed slightly in determination. She moved over to her fallen friend an bent down, licking at her ears and nuzzling her fur with great affection. Her pains were nothing compared to Whisper's. Giving her a tiny smile she told her, "You rest here for a bit...I'm going to go hunt and get you something to eat. Then I'll go look for them for you...because you need to take it easy for a bit."
She glanced at Vitus, asking with her eyes and expression if he would stay to care for her. She knew he was still having some trouble, especially with his senses. Her main priority was the well being of her friends. She'd manage to hunt a little, she supposed. Giving Whisper a reasuring look, she began to lope off akwardly into the trees to search for something to eat.

Vitus was quite startled when Whsiper collapsed on the ground. Fute? Who was he...Or her? He knew who Kouji was however. He remembered the uneasy feeling he had when he first met the other male. His ears flicked. Fute was her mate? But wasn't Kouji...No matter, it wasn't important at the moment. However that did let the male know that this 'Fute' was a male.
He glanced over at Ieshia as she spoke. Hunting? She was hurt as well. His ears lowered as he held back a whimper. He turned to Whisper, he had to stay with her...But the fact that Ieshia was still hurt wouldn't leave his mind. She could make it worse by hunting, but he did agree that Whisper needed food.
Telling himself that Ieshia would be alright he troted up next to Whisper and sat down.

"Ieshia," Whisper tried to speak, but her voice only came out as a wheeze. She didn't want to be a burden on her friends, they didn't need to get involved in her problems and her crumbling life. But before she could even think of how to protest without bluntly refusing to be helped, the other female was up and off.
Ah, well, there was nothing she could do now. It wasn't as if she could physically stop her friend from doing anything to help the green wolf.
So, blinking towards Vitus, she instead rested her head on the ground and stayed right where she had collapsed. She noticed, then, for the first time that he didn't seem too happy about this whole situation.. the pack in general and the state of his friends.
Ears back and eyes cast down to the ground, the she-wolf wondered what to say to make him feel better and think that things would be alright... but what was there to say when she wasn't even sure they would be?

Ieshia moved along through the trees, ignoring the ache in her side. It had been there for some time now...so why should she worry about it? It wasn't anything new. What she had to focus on was finding something to bring back to Whisper...and Vitus. Then if there was something left over she could have a bit...if not she'd find something else later.
She lowered her muzzle to the ground, sniffing about and hoping to catch the scent of something fresh. Nothing came to her right away, so she kept looking, moving along the rough terain the best she could. Finally she caught the scent of something...was it a racoon? It seemed to be...she hadn't encountered the creature often, but it was better then nothing!

Vitus looked to his friend, she seemed so sad. When Ieshia got back he'd go look for Fute and Kouji, yes that was what he would do. Ieshia would need to rest and there was no way Whisper could go look for them in her condition, and all he had was a wounded paw. Nothing as serious as his two friends. He'd insist that Ieshia not go looking for Whisper's friends. He'd need something to do to get his mind of the pack anyways.
"Evurythung wull be alrught." he spoke giving Whisper a gentle nuzzle.

Gosh, Whisp sure did hope that her long-time friend was right. If things didn't get better, she probably wouldn't get better. It was harsh, but true. Those boys were precious to her as was expected since Fute was her mate and Kouji she knew since her puppyhood.
Sighing as she thought about them, her gaze flittered towards the brown and black male. "Sure?" she asked, not really convinced that they would come back and she would regain her health. To tell the truth, she didn't even know if she wanted to continue living without them...

Ieshia soon loped back awkwardly with the limp body of a racoon in her jaws. She stopped before Whisper, dropping the samll creature before her and catching her breath through her open mouth, her tongue lolling out.
She quickly closed her jaw as she caught the look Whisper seem to have. Her ears flickered back and her nose wrinkled slightly, "Whisper...now don't be like that...." Whisper had said nothing about a wish to no longer be there if they were gone, but she sure could pick up that feeling! "What would Fute and Kouji say? They'd be horrified to see you like this! And they will come back...and I'm sure they'd rather find you here waiting then anything else."

(( I think we're almost done, Tahja... um...
With what Ieshia just said, Whisper will probably try to get better and all that jazz, so she will get up and they can go wander into the packlands some with Vitus and Ieshia if Kobi and Ary want. Then... it'll be done? Hopefully it'll be just a few more posts. ))

Vitus gave a nod as Whisper questioned what he said. He wanted his friend to be alright, and even if he didn't know for sure he believed good things would happen. His ears perked up as he saw Ieshia heading towards them, a raccoon in her jaws. "You alrught?" he asked looking to her wound. This was good, Whisper could eat now and Ieshia could rest. Gently Vitus waged his tail.

Suddenly something inside of her stirred. Ieshia was right. If they were to come back... when they came back, they wouldn't want to find her all skinny and whacked up. Nonono, that just wouldn't do! Whisp would have to eat some more, gain some weight, groom her fur... now that she thought about it, she could almost sense her friends' return. Yes! They were close... she hoped.
Lifting her head, she looked at both of her friends. Then she spoke, her voice a little smoother now that she decided to make herself live better, "You're right, Ieshia. They can't come back and find me... like this. Must get better." A firm nod assured that this was so.
And so, she took a bite out of the raccoon, savoring the taste of food once again. Before, it had only been eaten so that she may stay alive, but now she enjoyed it. Once she was done, she licked her chops and looked once again at her friends. She didn't fail to remember her red friend's injury.
"Maybe you two can come to my densite and rest?" the green omega offered, hoping for her and her two friends to get a good rest before they do any touring of the lands.
