Lawliet felt really bad as he scooted himself over to her side, his shoulder pressed against her's slightly. " I promise...." Though he was afraid in the long run that this promise he wouldn't be able to keept if Sora showed up. He laughed a little seeing how she had the hiccups. He smiled standin up quickly, dusting himself off, and running back over with his messenger bag. He sat back down beside her digging through it before pulling out a bottle of water. "Drink this...It may help..."

Meghan looked at it for a moment, and then smiled weakly at him. "Thank you," she said softly, removing the cap and taking small sips of it; she really hated the hiccups, she had to admit. What she hated the most, though, was that when she usually got it, they'd have to go away by itself, and nothing she did could help. However, regular hiccups and crying hiccups were two different stories.
After a few moments, she felt better and closed the bottle. She smiled over at Lawliet, glad. Now, on the other hand, she was curious about his bag. "What else do you have in there?" she asked softly, laughing a little; she could immagine him holding just about everything in there. You never knew, after all, how much one's bag could hold; as far as she was conserned, he may just have a cat in there. That'd be a funny sight.

Lawliet smiled, laughing a little as his bag sat in his lap. He sighed pulling his knees up to his chest, and resting his chin on top of his knees. He sat there for a few minutes before going to a normal sitting position again. He looked at her and just smiled softly. "Stuff...." He then thought of something that might help to cheer her up a little better.
He smiled holding the back and then opening it. "Nothing abnormal in there..." He smiled then closed it. "Watch this.." He waved his hand over the bag and slowly opened it. A seagull flew out of the bag just over Meghan's head! He laughed smiling. "Even though I don't have powers, I can do a few magic tricks..." There was hint of pride in his voice as he scratched the back of his head laughing nervously.

Meghan was a little disappointed when he said plain ol' 'stuff', but wasn't about to complain; if he didn't want to share, then that was okay with her. As long as they were still friends, she was fine with tthat. However, she titled her head, wondering what he was doing as he instructed her to watch. She laughed, watching as the seagull flew away. "That's so cool!" she exclaimed, looking utterly interested and amused, as well as amazed; she'd never really seen a magic show or anything, or at least not magic like this. She'd seen something else, but that was a different story.
"There's nothing wrong with not having powers," she said softly, tilting her head just a little, wondering if he was sad about that.

He shrugged smiling that he made her happy. "Well, I guess I just feel a little outcasted because of not having powers....Then again, I've always been that way..." He traced pictures in the sand with a stick he found, and kept his mouth shut for a while. He was drawing a detailed picture of a seashell and a crab, and as he finished he finally spoke. "Tell me....What is your purpose for coming to the school?" He was a little curious hoping that he would be able to share his reason with her.

Meghan watched him drawing his picture, thinking it was rather good; better than anything she'd ever be able to draw, that was for sure. Upon his question, though, she wasn't sure what to answer. Why had she come here? Did she even know? Or better yet, was there an actual reason? Yes, there was... but would he think differently of her had she said the truth?
So, she decided to tell him parts, but not all. It was still the truth, right? "When I was traveling with my friend, someone suggested that maybe I should go to school. I mean, I've never actually been to one, so he thought it'd be a good change," she said softly, leaving out the part that she wouldn't go, that he had yelled at her, and that the next day, she found him dead a few tents away from her own.

Lawliet then began just drawing squiggles. "Oh I see..." He was contridicting himself weather or not to tell her. Finally he just busied himself rocking back and forth smiling. "Well...." He then spread out his legs and leaned back.
"I feel kind of stupid for telling you this...Though I feel as if I need to...Because your the only friend I have right?" He seemed to be half talking to himself as he said this, but he still had a small weak smile on his face. "I came here because...I thought I would be able to figure out who I am...According to the orphanage I just appeared out of no where. I had a record and all, but no realitives what so ever...Now, I'm not sure if I'll be able to figure out anything..."

Meghan looked over at him, not sure what he was going to say. However, the way he was saying it made her rather interested and full of curiousity. Hearing his story, though, she felt something tug at her; sounded almost like her, but not quite. "I'm.. sure you'll find something, don't worry! And... and I'll help!" she said, smiling softly to him. She really didn't know how she could possibly help him, but she wanted to try, at least. He was, after all, one of her only friends at this school so far, and she wanted to do what she could to help him no matter what.

Lawliet was surprised and just smiled softly. "Yeah I would appreciate it.." Though to Lawliet it didn't really matter anymore. He had a friend, a friend that actually cared enough to help him. Though there would always be that urge to know where he came from. He was a littl tired now after that exhausting encounter with Sora, and he just let his head fall light on Meghan's shoulder. He didn't actually notice he was doing this at all, but when he did a small blush appeared on his face.
Though something really strange happened then. Where normal ears were supposed to be, two little cute lamb ears appeared. About as white as his hair was. Of course he didn't notice this and just glanced at Meghan nervously. "Eh, I was a little tired..Sorry."

Meghan shook her head, smiling down at him. "I don't mind, don't worry," she said softly. In truth, she was used to it, but she used to do the same all the time to a friend of hers; the one that had traveled with her. She blinked a few times, however, when she saw the white lamb ears appear. "Lawliet," she giggled, "Um... I think you should check your ears. They're extremely cute right now." She didn't mean to hurt him or anything, or make him embarrassed; to her, they really were cute, and they didn't phase her too much. Except the fact that they'd come up at such a random time.

Lawliet tilted his head in confusion at her comment about his ears. "Wha?" He rubbed his ears lightly realizing they were fuzzy. His eyes went wide as he blushed. He than shot up and ran over to the water, and stared at his reflection. He was so startled that he fell backwards. "Oh my gosh!" He rushed back over to Meghan, and plopped back down a embarassed look on his face. He was trying to stay calm, but found it fairly hard. "How on earth did that happen?!" He was a tad confused because this had never happened to him before.
He sat there rubbing his ears, but figured it couldn't be too bad if she thought they were cute. "Are they really cute?" He asked in a curious tone which made him feel better about the odd experience.

Meghan laughed softly to herself as she watched the boy; this was a funny moment. However, she couldn't answer him on where they'd come from, or what'd happened. When he asked for confermation of if she thought it was cute, she just smiled and nodded her head. "They really are," she said softly, reaching out and rubbing one gently with the back of her index finger; they were rather soft, she had to admit. She wondered if he was a shapeshifter or something, but didn't bother to voice her thoughts; there really was no need to, especially since he may not be.

Lawliet's cheeks turned a faint pink, and he closed his eyes. It was like a cat when you scratched it under the chin, and it really did feel good to him. He seemed to be enjoying so much that you could swear he was going to purr any minute, but this was lamb ears, not cat's. He just sat quiet letting her touch the ears, almost forgetting how awfully weird it was. "Though now that they're there how do I make them go away?"He said meakly to himself. He was a little worried about this, but he tried to keep it to himself as much as possible.

Meghan pulled her hand away slowly and shook her head. "Sorry, can't help ya there. Why not just try relaxing?" she suggested, grinning at the suggestion; maybe it'd work. It was the only thing she could think of. This was, apparently, the first time she'd ever come across a person that could shape shift; she'd seen them, sure, but never had she actually met one. As such, she didn't know much about them, if he even was one! Other than that, there was nothing she could do. Maybe if he was active they'd go away? Swimming, or running around would be a good activity, if it was the case. She continued thinking of other ways the ears may go away, but each time just came to deadends.

Talon quickly grabbed the girl and threw her over his shoulder, preparing to carry her back to campus. I hope she'll be alright. he thought as he began to slowly run towards the school, which was quite a distance away. He was running with the wind which helped him preserve some of his energy. After a few minutes he disappeared down the road, back up to the school. Why can't I just have one day of relaxation? he sighed.
