miss_phantasmagoria Why isn't there an option in the poll like "SPECTACULAR! Unfortunately I've never played it, but I'm obsessed with it anyway!" ? Yeah. Anyhoo....I want it! There is now. ninja

A re-release of AMA would be lovely. Maybe with shaper, more modern graphics?

[Nevar] A re-release of AMA would be lovely. Maybe with shaper, more modern graphics? And new levels! They should do a sequel where it's about the Looking Glass world, but the story of game wasn't the sort that easily invites sequels... It'd be too clearly contrived. But at least it would be yet another awesome game!

Okay, now that I've got it, I have some questions.
I'm one sucky gamer, and I rely 99% on cheat codes. I enjoy it more that way...otherwise I get discouraged and/or frightened. So of course on of the first things I did was go God-mode, set my health to a thousand, and get all the weapons in the game. ninja
Anyways, isn't God-mode supposed to make you invincible? Because the Boojums still hurt me and I was killed after I got the first ragebox....are the God effects temporary, disappearing after you go into another dimension type thing? D: (The stupid card guards only killed me because I forgot how to use the Eyestaff redface ).

Maybe there's a separate invincibility code? If falling is the problem, I know there's a flying code.
Crazy theory time: Is the Alice in the games the same Alice that went to Wonderland in the books? Because a lot of things in the game didn't really seem to fit with the real Alice's life. Like, Skool Daze. I'm pretty sure Alice was just taught her lessons at home and didn't go to school. And even if she did, it would be a long time before teachers started giving out gold star stickers for good work! Maybe she was someone (perhaps even with the name of Alice) who loved the books and was reading the books and pretending to be the book's Alice when the house burned down, and being that character was part of her delusions? Or American McGee just made it all wacky on purpose.
I personally still like the theory that Wonderland is a real place (not real real, but in the context of the books/game/whatever), but created by/ dependant on/ changing with Alice.

It's the same Alice - at least, it's supposed to be. I don't mind the minor plot incongruities and stuff...I think it's a great story either way. razz I figured out how to use Godmode finally (you have to refresh it every level) and I just killed the Duchess. Now, if there's a way to kill those horrible giant fish.... ninja

I'm not criticizing the story and I know that American McGee changed things for a reason. I just thought of the idea, and found it interesting.
Yay, god mode!

Actually, last night I was reading it again, and when she's talking to the Mock Turtle she mentions going to day-school every day....then they start talking about whitings and such. razz
