As the Grimm were on the attack now, both girls would do their best to react, adapt, and triumph. Valleria would have to contend with two lancers attacking now after the boarbatusk; one seeming to try and dive in to rip her up and the other using its stringer to try and get the girl. Not the most coordinated of assaults, but having to avoid two types of attacks was not an easy thing to do. She would roll away from the first lancer, feeling the air and the loud buzz as it quickly flew by with claws cutting into the earth instead. But she had no time to rest as a stinger was already on its way to her! The crowd watched, anxiety and anticipation mixing, as she quickly tried to avoid it. It was not as clean as her first two dodges; the stinger would hit her leg, but a golden aura would briefly shine to show she had protected herself from the attack. It may hurt later, but it made sure the lancer didn't do any serious damage. The stinger in question would instead be redirected into the ground; though it was already starting to be reeled in to the lancer. The mics would pick up her angered response, the crowd cheering for Robin hood at the moment as she transformed her weapon back to a bow. Seeing her eyes become golden, and a golden arrow appear to be fired, they would follow it as it went towards its mark. And it would find it. The lancer, being the same weakened one that had an arrow sticking out of it, would have this new golden one pierce through as it exploded in a shower of dust. Not wasting any time, Robin hood would jump over the lancer on the ground to try and slash at it twice but it was too fast; her weapon hitting its armor once before it flew away, ascending back into the sky. While she didn't get the second lancer, the crowd cheered for the first grimm going down.
While this was going on, Wasp was setting up a stunt of her own. She would bring her arms together, and her guns would turn into a shield as she stabilized herself on the ground while the boarbatusk got very close. At first, it seemed like it may be a test of who could hold; that is, until she angled her shield slightly. The boarbatusk, still intent on running her into the ground, didn't lose speed...and as a result, would hit the shield and roll over and off of it. Wasp would feel immense force from the initial hit, sliding back a bit as the sand almost buried her legs, but she held long enough for it to become airborne. The crowd let out a collective gasp and watched as she quickly twisted and the shield returned to gun form. Firing into the now airborne, and confused grimm, it was unable to adjust or keep its spin; exposing its vulnerable bits. The bullets would sink deep into it, and the grimm would turn into a cloud of dust in the air. "It seems the Wasp and Robin hood are kicking butt and taking names! Two grimm down and three to go. Can they keep up this rate, will they need a round 2, and do the grimm even stand a chance!" He would excitedly yell and finish with a rhetorical question, allowing the excitement to flow through the crowd as they cheered. The crowd would roar in approval, two of the grimm down now with only three left in total. A chant could be heard of both their titles from the crowd even as the grimm recovered and went on the attack. The knocked over boarbatusk, having time to recover, would charge robin hood from behind. She could hear it, but she could also see one of the lancers from before (the one Wasp had forced to take cover earlier) coming up behind her at full speed. She would have to make a choice; take a shot to try and save wasp, or dodge from the grimm behind her. At the same time, after successfully pulling off her own attack, Wasp could hear the loud buzz of the lancer behind her and see the boarbatusk charging Robin hood from behind. A similar choice was given to her; dodge to help herself, or try to save her ally. She would only have time for one. The remaining lancer, for now, was not part of this attack.

 ::======>>Valleria Teal<<======::The Grimm died? That was not part of Valleria's plan, she wanted to take her time with the flying beast. Whatever, unfortunately for her it means the arrow did not land yet, this started to annoy her slightly, two miss calculations at the same attack would not ve a nice thing for anyone to do, but atleast it turned out fine. As Valleria looked over to Eszter she noticed the lancer rushing in very quickly, she knew there was a boar coming her way but she decided to draw an arrow as Frozen fangs turned back into a bow, it's tip glew in bright blue collor as she closed one eye to aim it at the lancer and fired. The moment she fired the arrow she realised she had no way of getting out in time from the boar, she was ready to get hit streight on by the Grimm. ::======>>TEAM: CADT <<======::Post Count: 54

 The weight of the boar caused Eszter to grunt as she bit her lower lip with strain. She refused to be buried. She couldn’t, not like that, she was not going to make a fool of herself. The blue haired woman had something to prove, in a way, but it wasn’t like anyone would know that, let alone know why. A breath of relief came as the boar flew in the air and she finally shot it down. Sadly, there was no time to relish in her success, not with two other lancers around as well as the remaining boar. The buzz behind her caused her to turn around. While her weapon did hinder her movements, she fortunately could turn in place with considerable ease. It was dodging and jumping that wasn’t the most convenient. While it did make her vulnerable, she had her ways of protecting herself if it came down to it.
Aura flowed around her body as she faced the Lancer that thought it was a good idea to charge her from behind, but from the corner of her eyes she saw Robin Hood in a similar predicament of her own. The girl seemed nimble and had the ability to dodge with such a light weight weapon so Eszter was not too concerned at first, not until she saw her teammate face her weapon towards her direction. ”Change of plans…” she uttered out loud as her semblance activated. Between Valleria and the boar a strange aura created totem that resembled a vulture appeared, a transparent wall of pinkish-red hue emerged forming protection between the girl and the grimm.
While her semblance activated, Eszter had been concentrating aura into her guns as well, while the charge was not as long or as strong as she preferred, she figured it was enough to end some of the grimm. Each of her guns was pointed at the remaining lancers, the one charging at her and the one going for Robin. Beams of pinkish-red hue shot out towards both creatures, her pinpoint aiming having taken into account their trajectory. These were not normal bullets and they were bound to succumb to them. Adjusting one of her guns she angled it towards the boar that had charged at Vall, if her shield worked it would have bounced back giving her the time she needed to adjust after firing at the lancers and shoot at the boar with regular bullets.
”How about giving me a little faith~” Eszter stated with a smile towards Vall. ”Trust your allies. If you can dodge. Dodge.” She gave her a little wink. "Playing the sacrificial hero with no regards to your own safety rarely ever works well in the end. Give your live as much value as you do others. You'll learn that in time~"

The crowd watched, worried, but eager to see what the duo would do. Would they save each-other or themselves? Would they be unified enough to both pick the same choice, or would a mistake be made that leads to one taking the attack? All these questions went through their minds are the grimm very quickly bore down on Robin hood and the wasp. Both contestants would act almost in sync. Robin hood would switch her weapon to bow form; the tip glowing bright blue as she fired an arrow at the lancer headed for the wasp. At the same time, it seemed Wasp was using a trick up her sleeve. A transparent pinkish-red wall would appear right behind Robin hood as the boarbatusk bore down. As it impacted the wall, a heavy hit but the wall held, Robin hood's arrow would reach the lancer. Boar would bounce off the wall, crashing back to the ground as it was prone for a moment. The lancer...weakened by the Wasps initial barrage, and committed to its attack, took the arrow full force. It faltered, slowed by the shot, but tried to press on towards the wasp...before Wasp's guns would begin firing. But rather than regular bullets, these were pinkish-red beams that tried to find their marks. One made it to the lancer charging her as she would find herself enveloped for a moment in a cloud of black from the grimm turning to dust. While it did clear quickly, it gave the other lancer the chance to barely avoid the beam meant for it. The shot did change its flight path though, as it moved away from both girls instead; trying to use the rocks as cover. As the Wasp would change targeting with one of her guns, now firing bullets to the boarbatusk, she would see large crackers begin to appear on its armor plates. With a few of the bullets hitting the sweet spots that were unarmored; one even hitting one of its red eyes.
It would squeal in pain and fury, rising to its feet and trying for one last desperate charge as it rolled. Trying to go around the barrier by going for the Wasp instead. At about the same time, the last Lancer would come out from behind cover and fire its stinger towards Robin hood; hoping to nail her from the side the shield wasn't currently covering. The crowd was cheering loudly for the two, using teamwork to save each-other from the Grimm had been exactly what many wanted to see. "One down, two badly wounded Grimm to go! It seems this duo is holding strong. Lets see how well they can do if we balance the odds a bit." The announcer would say as, in the distance, another cage would rise up from the floor. This cage had been bigger than the first two for good reason; it had an ursa inside. Silent for now, but eyes scanning around, it would see the duo given the sound of bullets and combat. Once the cage was open, it would begin to make its way to them; using the rocky cover whenever it could as it headed to them. For now, it was not close enough to attack.

::======>>Valleria Teal<<======::Valleria simply looked and thought a bit after Eszter told her to have some faith in her, Valleria didn’t even know why she tried to do it as it’s something she never did, it’s actually her first time ever fighting with anyone on her team instead of hunting alone “I’ll take your advice and learn from it. Thank you” she would say as the lancer fired its stinger at her, Valleria simply smiled and stood still until the very last moment when she suddenly disappeared into golden dust. After her teleportation her eyes went back to their usual blue color, Valleria would quickly take out an arrow from her quiver and shoot it right at the lancer’s weak spot before it had any chance to react to her change of place, making grimm confused was something Valleria enjoyed doing, she would have taken her sweet time with them If she was alone and against one grimm, but both of those are not the case in the arena. After dealing with lancer Valleria climbed up on a high rock formation on the arena, she noticed the new cage that hosted an ursa inside of it “crap” Valleria said as she took out another ice dust crystal from her quiver, waiting for the moment she finds a good opening. ::======>>TEAM: CADT <<======::Post Count: 55

The blue haired woman nodded as Valleria responded quite humbly to her comment. Had she taken it seriously? It would seem so, though her advice was not wrong, there was merit, but all things in life had to be taken with a grain of salt. No situation was the same as the other, every fight, every battle brought new conditions that changed a hunters choice.
With the boar coming at her, Eszter did not falter, she continued her assault aware that only a few more bullets were necessary to finally put an end to its miserable existence. While she noticed the lancer was going after Vall, she trusted the girl could dodge, she was more nimble than she after all, and not only that but her vulture was still around, ready to act if necessary, however it did not protect Vall to allow the girl to fire back. It would seem that it was unnecessary to protect Vall anyways as she would vanish from sight dealing with the last remaining grimm, or so they thought.
The Ursa cage rose before the last two grimm perished, allowing the creature within to exit and begin to make its way to the battle. Seeing Valleria take a high ground Eszter decided to stay where she was. She would play the bait, for now. Fire a regular bullet at the ursa she hoped to get its attention so it would charge at her. From the distance it was at she had time to charge her aura blasts. Bringing both of her guns before her she stood her ground focusing her aura into her guns. Hopefully the ursa would charge straight at her allowing her to fire at it meters before it could jump her, but just in case she had her vulture ready to protect her. She couldn’t be sure the ursa wasn’t going to be faster than she anticipated, so she would need a shield to give her all the seconds extra seconds she could use to charge her beam. The longer she charged the stronger they tended to be.

As the Lancer's stinger grew ever closer to the student, the crowd wondered why she did not move. Not quite sure if this was all an act or if she froze from shock or what really. At the very last moment, right as people were about to wince, Robin hood would be gone. All that was left in her place was golden dust as the stinger went through it and impacted the ground. The Lancer was very much confused; it had been sure it was going to hit its target. As it scanned around, it would notice something to late. Robin hood had appeared somewhere else, and had managed to fire her bow in that time. It could barely turn, claws coming up, before the arrow would fly true through them and pierce it's underside. Coming out the other end of the Lancer and through its wing as the red eye of it would go dark. It would turn to dust long before its body hit the ground. At about the same time, the Wasp would deal with the boarbatusk. While normally its armor and roll protected it, it had been weakened and moving in blind anger. The bullets were able to peel back the bone-like armor and go right between the eyes before it could reach her; the barest remnant of a cloud of black dust reaching her feet. "And the Lancer and Boar are down! This duo have been knocking their targets down each time they come up! From lasers to walls, teleportation to arrows and bullets; what other tricks do they have up their sleeves?" The announcer would ask rhetorically, crowd cheering loudly. Three lancers and two boarbatusks were dead; while it was a number you could count on your hand, it was still an impressive feat to watch. The duo had, known or unknown to them, managed to one up the prior grimm fighting match already. If they could get the Ursa, they would double the prior kill count. So the crowd was naturally on their feet and hoping a new record was set; this also being a perfect way to forget what almost happened in the other match.
But while the announcer was speaking, the girls nor the grimm were going to wait around. Robin hood would scale a rock formation and get to the top, getting bow and arrow out quickly as she looked for the new grimm. At the same time, she would hear the familiar sound of the Wasps weapon being fired; only one round for now. The Ursa that had slowly been making its way to them would take the bullet straight to the bone-like armor on its head; though the bullet seemed to just bounce off from there. It's head would turn to the Wasp and it would growl. Having found its new target, it would begin to head to her. It could see something happening with its prey, and because it was wary, it did not charge yet. However, Robin hood was also planning something and was unknown to the Ursa. As it passed her, she would get a clean shot to the back of its neck. As it hit, it seemed like the ursa's entire neck and back of its head was encased in ice. They would both hear a frustrated growl from it, before it would shake its head. Hitting the ice against a large rock formation and shattering it. It would turn to face Robin hood now, eyes hateful. With a roar, it would go towards her running. It was slow, at first, but momentum helped it build up speed quickly. And once it got to the base of the rock, it would begin to climb up. While it may have moved slow on the ground...it was climbing much faster than you would expect from such a big creature, eager to reach Robin hood. It was climbing up the rock formation with its back to the Wasp, ignoring her at this point. By the next post, it would be up and able to attack Robin hood.

::======>>Valleria Teal<<======::The ursa seemed get pissed at the icy treat she threw at it, Valleria had a sinister smile as she seen the ursa coming her way, she loved making those pesky grimm suffer, for some reason she always felt a bit sadistic towards them. As it got closer to her she knew firing more arrows would be useless, instead she waited in place, she took out a small rocket from her quiver's pouch and drew a black tipped gravity arrow and waited for the creature to get even closer as it ramped up speed. It was the moment of truth, the ursa started climbing up on the rock formation very fast and she had no other choice but to get on with her plan. Once it was close enough Valleria front flipped over the ursa, drawing her bow backwards and shooting a gravity arrow that would knock the creature downwards and quickly threw the rocket right after. As clean as the attack was, the landing not so much, she would land on her side, making her roll on the ground aggressively, she may had her aura up to protect her from the damage but it was still super painful, it was a wreckless play of her, but she knew it would piss the ursa even more, which was exactly what she wanted. ::======>>TEAM: CADT <<======::Post Count: 56

Eszter and Valleria were moving like gears in a clock. In sync. In unison. Working for the same goal even if they had different but similar functions. Although Eszter had intended to become bait, it seemed Vall pulled the same card and hers succeeded in drawing the ursa away from its original trajectory. For a moment as Eszter continued to charge her guns she worried that the ursa would climb up the side out of her line of fire but it seemed the Goddess of Fate was on their side. The Ursas back was towards her vulnerable and exposed.
From her head, an item most took as just being some odd hair ornament opened up into a device covering her eyes, it was in reality a targeting device. Even though she trusted her aiming skills she did not want to take long with the ursa, especially if they had more grimm in store. The more they fought the better the show would be. A great huntress needed to take out grimm as fast as possible. Although she never graduated a huntress she was trained as one. She had merely never taken the test. It had not been her goal.
Eszter could feel the aura drain from her body, she still had a decent amount and although this shot was going to take a small kick out of her she knew no drop would be wasted. Her skill in aura management had been the best Beacon had seen at the time. It was impossible for her to waste aura unintentionally.
Seeing her partner begin to male her own move Eszter waited for the perfect moment. Her targeting system pinpointed on the ursaa underbelly the instant it was exposed from Valls attack, without hesitation she fired both guns in unison unleashing two beams of aura which merged into one, or so it would seem, but even if they werent joined the power was indeed unified. The force of her blast made Eszter skid back a couple of feet.
Letting go of her right gun as she came to a stop she brought her hand to her lips blowing a kiss into the crowd with a wink. In reality this was to tease a single person she had finally spotted sitting abot the crowd.
While Eszter had been focusing on firing on the ursa, Eszter totem had ended up remaining, dashing out towards Vall after her gravity was set off, catching her much sooner then she originally anticipated. Sure the shield totem was traditionally used for protection but Eszter had learned many years ago to keep an open mind. The shield could function as a sort of platform of sorts in the right circumstances. The totem place Vall on the ground near Eszter as she finished blowing her kiss and vanished into thin air. Eszter had a feeling needed to conserve her semblance... A plan forming in her mind but it would wait for a bigger threat.

The grimm was surprised it was not being fired at as it climbed; it expected more resistance from the prey, especially the one it turned its back to. It wouldn't complain as it got closer to its target. It was almost there when Robin hood finally moved; doing a front flip over the Ursa and firing her bow. But it was no regular arrow. It was a black-tipped gravity arrow. The Grimm didn't think much of it, seeing its prey jump in what it thought was desperation...it would launch itself off the wall towards her...as her arrow was released. The arrow would hit the underside of its jaw, and send it quickly falling back down. As they both were falling though, Robin hood would also light and fire a firework down to the grimm. The spark of lights highlighting its trail as it went towards it. Spinning a bit as it fell, its underbelly would be facing Wasp as she had been setting up this entire time. The crowd was cheering, a lot watching Robin hood since she was the one being targeted. But a few had kept their eyes on Wasp, seeing her guns charging up as she prepared for an attack and took her aim. Once the belly of the beast was in her sights, and Robin hood not in the way, she fired. Two beams of aura came out, headed towards the grimm, but had been angled in such a way that they would merge into one large beam right before they hit the grimm. Immediately, the blast pushed the grimm hard against the wall. At the same time, Robin hood's firework arrow would hit dead on where the beam was. What followed was a small explosion as rock was scattered apart, and a crater filled by black dust was left against the rock.
During all this though, something else had been going on. Before the explosion and before she could hit the ground, Robin hood would find herself landing on a platform of aura. It had caught her a mere foot off the ground, and had quickly moved her back to the Wasp before the explosion. The crowd were cheering loudly now, chanting their names. They would see the Wasp blow a kiss to the crowd, many of the men there believing it was for themselves and blowing it back. Some even saying they loved her (along with some girls). "And what an exciting match we have had so far folks! The wasp and robin hood have expertly dealt with the ursa before it could do anything. That has to be the fastest finale I have seen in a long time!" He would say excitedly, though as he said finale a chant rose up from the crowd. Encore. Encore. The announcer smiled to himself. "But it is not over for the dynamic duo! It seems they've put on enough of a show that the audience wants an encore, and we are going to give it to them! We've had boars, bugs, bears...All kinds of grimm in this match. But there is one we are still missing, some of the ones we have in reserve. Release the beowolves!" The announcer would finish dramatically as, all the while he spoke, three cages arose on different parts of the island. Each cage has one beowolf each. As soon as he said release, they were already free and running straight to the two girls. This time, they weren't quite as far and were much more nimble than the others. They were very quickly bearing down on the duo and would be on them soon. What will they do?

Was this truly a record for the fastest grimm kill? In the exhibition so far that would be a yes, however, in the world? Perhaps there was still a better time. Eszter couldn’t help but beam up at the crowd waving more kisses to add to the act as Valleria was placed right next to her. ”That was a great shot and smart move. Hope you aren’t too wounded.” Eszter said with a kind smile. Her eyes picked up on the movement of the wolves coming near. Her aura activating, glowing around her body as she formed two totems, these ones different from the one before. One was shaped to resemble a hummingbird while the other a type of blackbird. She had focused two emotions to form into two totems, her fear, fear in this case that had to do with Garret, of him having a bad impression of her, especially when realizing who exactly she was (although that was not her fault, he had failed to remember the name), and a more aggressive anger, a desire to finish the match in a manner that would be spoken of for years.
The second her totmes were formed they got into action. While the wolves originally charged in their direction, their attention changed once the blackbird had been formed. They chased it smelling the fear it was emitting. The hummingbird would chase after the wolves, swerving in and around them to slice up their backs with its wings to help expose more vulnerable parts so their arrows and bullets could pierce further into their body.
Winking at Valleria Eszter spoke up again. ”Let’s finish with a bang?” Eszter did not mean this literally but if the girl had explosive dust on her then by all means she could fire away. Grabbing her guns Eszter swapped out her bullet cartridges with new ones before firing on a barrage at the three wolves distracted by her totem. By the time they were to figure out it was a ruse she hoped that they would have done enough harm to defeat them. Bullet after bullet her guns fired until a click indicated she was out. If all had gone well, she had done enough along with Vall’s help to fully expose them. Her guns charged again, the crowd now anticipating another beam from her guns. As she charged she looked at Vall giving the girl a nod to indicate she was ready for a final big again. She wanted her and her partner to fire at the same time to finish things up in an act of perfect teamwork.
”3… 2…” The wolves began to notice they were going after nothing but a decoy and began to turn to face the girls. ”...1!” With that Eszter fired and hoped Vall would do the same.

::======>>Valleria Teal<<======::Valleria was ready for the worst as she was about to brace herself for an impact, but before she could get to a point of gaining fall damage she was stopped by an aura structure and pulled down to Eszter’s side who complimented her “thank you, if it wasn’t for your totems I would have been in serious pain right now, don’t worry I’m perfectly fine” she would smile at her, for the first time she fights with someone on her side she was very surprised in how well they are doing together. Valleria would notice how the newly released beowolves that were about to chase them suddenly changed their directions towards the blackbird and seeing how their armor is slowly being shredded by the humming bird behind. Valleria nodded with a fired up smile “let’s give them a show they won’t forget” she said while being fired up, she took out two normal arrows and attached the two rockets that were left to them while Eszter was firing her bullets at the beowolves. As soon as she was done she took out a combustion dust arrow and placed it in between the two rocketed arrows, preparing to shoot all three at once “let’s finish it Eszter!” Valleria yelled and drew her bow backwards just as Eszter started her countdown, the moment it was over she shot all three arrows right next to Eszter’s blast. She did not care to give a good show at first, but now she was fired up to finish it in the flashiest way possible. ::======>>TEAM: CADT <<======::Post Count: 58

As the grimm came running, all three from different directions, towards the girls the crowd would watch intently. Popcorn being eaten, drinks hesitantly being slurped, and some people holding half-eaten candy bars in front of their mouths as they forget while being too engrossed in the match. Robin hood and Wasp were side by side, awaiting the grimm, but the crowd would notice an aura appear around the wasp. Suddenly, two totems would come into existence. While many did not know the latter totem animal, the hummingbird was very recognizable. As the latter bird flew away swiftly, the grimm seemed to divert to it; it was acting as a grimm magnet and decoy. Meanwhile the humming bird totem would follow after the wolves and begin to attack them; being swatted at occasionally but they were after the source of negative emotion primarily. The hummingbird took advantage of this, darting in to try and weaken their bony armor. While the bone armor, majority wise, did hold...it did weaken it a bit. Enough so that as Wasp started firing, bit and pieces of the armor would begin to fall off. For the most part, the wolves were resisting a lot of the damage to any vitals. Mostly because that was not the goal of the bullets. But they wizened up to things; they were being attacked a lot outside of the source of negativity. As the Wasp started charging up bullets, and Robin hood prepared for her own finale, the wolves would shift focus and begin running to them.
For a moment, it seemed like they would be upon them. Beowolves were fairly fast grimm, even if they weren't the fastest. However, they weren't fast enough. After their countdown, a beam of aura would be fire and soon after the rocket and dust arrow.The beam would hit first; being the faster of the two attacks, though it was quickly followed by the arrow. As the beams traveled forth, it hit the lead grimm and slowed them down slightly. Not enough to kill them, but damaging them a bit. However, Robin hoods arrows would do the trick. In a colorful trail, all three arrows would impact the grimm and the beam. And the resulting explosion was a brilliant display of color that would be left amidst the smoke. Both contestants were knocked onto their backs from the blast, since the grimm got closer than intended, but nothing really damaging came from it. As the colors and smoke cleared, a small crater was all that remained of the three grimm. "And there we have it folks! The wasp and Robin Hood have defeated the grimm in an explosive finish. A round of applause for our future huntress and a beacon graduate!" He would say to the thunderous roar of the audience as many jumped to their feet and were clapping. Chanting their names as a few medics came to field; just to make sure the contestants were alright and everything before the two would be escorted away.

The sound of waves could be heard crashing in the arena far below to the audience. The waves were much more violent now than they were before; almost like they were storm waves. A covering was currently over the arena, masking what was beneath from the audience. This was for two reasons; to allow the setup to go undisturbed/ viewed, and so that when things were revealed the audience would not expect what was to come. For the two contestants, they would have quite a sight as they watched the set up...and were almost part of it. At least as set pieces/ bystanders till all was ready. "Welcome back Ladies and gentleman! I hope you've had a nice break and are ready for the action to continue! We've had matches on the beach, on sandbanks, obstacle courses and grimm fights. We've even had good old fashioned brawls. But for this next act, we are stepping things up." He would say to try and build up the crowd as the covering began to open up. As it did the audience would see the arena had a roiling see, with waves crashing almost angrily at the side walls. But that wasn't what drew most peoples attentions. What drew their attention was the two large ships in the violent sea; ships that waved the pirates flag. The flag having a bit of a custom style, if the contestants wanted, to signify whose ship was whose.
"Today, we will have a duel of fates. We have Zachariah, the little Rookie, versus Hades the Saviour of Sexiness. These two pirate captains will face off in battle along with their ships. Who will rise as the supreme pirate and who will be brought down to Davy Jones locker? There is only one way to find out; let the battle commence!" The announcer would say with an energetic tone of voice as the crowd cheered. As soon as he finished, the ships began to move. Both having a set course neither could alter, for now at least. However, Hades and Zach had something they could do during then they had been informed of; they could fire the canons as they were already loaded. They could even augment the cannon balls with dust if they wanted, being allowed their daily allotment. They would be able to fire a good few before the ships got within boarding distance. Once the ships were close enough, a gangplank would be extended between the two ships if they chose to clash blades.

Eszter Sasan? This was a bit of a surprise. Naturally, Aurelia recognized her from Sanctuary, working in the Foreign Affairs department. Though as Aurelia worked in the Education department, she didn't know Eszter very well. Beside her was another Beacon student, Valleria Teal. Teamwork was an important part of being a huntsman, so Aurelia was interested to see how Valleria would perform working with a stranger.
Things started off well. Knowing the Grimm were coming, Valleria prepared her bow, knocking an arrow and aiming towards the rising cage. It may seem like a cheap move, but in the dense forests of Vale you could often hear a grimm coming before you could see it. Having your weapon at the ready was vital. Seconds were vital in combat and everything could change in a blink of an eye. As a fellow archer, Aurelia had a special appreciation as Valleria's arrows hit home. Then came the Wasp's bullets. While Aurelia wasn't there to judge Eszter, as she wasn't one of their students, she still appreciated the accuracy of her shots. Knocking a boarbatusk off trajectory while it was in mid-roll was no easy feat. If any unsavoury types thought Eszter would be easy pickings due to her 'office job' in Sanctuary they would be sorely mistaken.
She gave an approving nod, and almost actually smiled when Valleria showed an excellent display of defensive aura by blocking most of the damage from a lancer attack she should not dodge. It should have been merely expected, but given so many students had failed to use aura at all, she was glad for the crowd to see such a great example. Eszter cleverly dealt with the boarbatusk by launching it into the air, exposing its unarmoured underbelly to her bullets. It seemed a shame she wasn't in the Huntsman Guild.
The moment of truth came. Each fighter was confronted by two Grimm, but only aware of one. Worse yet, as strangers, they were unfamiliar with each other's abilities. Aurelia didn't need her empathic abilities to feel the tension in the air as the crowd sat on the edge of their seats. Valleria went to protect Eszter by shooting the lancer. It was a huntsman's duty to protect others after all. Eszter had already proven herself as not the average citizen though and likewise protected Valleria in return. She really ought to send Aurtrox to harass Eszter into applying for the Huntsman Guild. Both fighters showed good use of their semblance. Eszter using a shield to protect Valleria while using aura lasers to shoot both Grimm. That must have been incredibly draining on her aura. Valleria luring a Lance in, then using her semblance to teleport away, allowing her an easy shot.
While the Lancers and boarbatusk were skillfully dealt with, an Ursa arrived on the scene. Slower than the other two, Ursa were more intelligent. This one didn't stand a chance though. Valleria used the terrain to her advantage, climbing up high so she could shoot the Ursa from above. It shook off the ice dust easily enough, but there was no shaking off what followed. Perfectly timed shots from Eszter and Valleria created an explosion not many Grimm would survive. Eszter even managed to catch Valleria using her shield totem. It was all over so fast it seemed a 3rd round was to be added to the fight.
Three Beowolves. Admittedly, Aurelia was a bit disappointed. She would have liked to see what the pair would have done against something more challenging. Beowolves were fast, but they weren't particularly bright. After everything she had seen, she expected this pair to dispatch of the trio quickly. She was proven right shortly after. Much like the Ursa, the Beowolves didn't stand a chance as they were met with aura lasers and combustion arrows. The crowds burst into cheers and chants. Too bad this wasn't the last show. It would have made an excellent ending.
Seeing Eszter's semblance in action had been most interesting. The Beowolves following the blackbird, while the hummingbird picked at their armour. The Vulture providing a shield and a platform. As for Valleria, Aurelia didn't have anything the student needed to work on. Instead, her notes contained her excellent aim, use of defensive aura and her Semblance as well as dust. A well-rounded student who would do well in advanced missions.
