((well i was debating that or having her apartment catch fire when she's inside of it ((maybe both)). There are toxic plants. If her sister wants her dead she's going to try any way she can. If something like that happened Aslinn might be injured or get sick and she'd need to stay more that just a night))

Aslinn listened to Cody as she continued to drive. Hearing him speak he sounded logical but she waited for him to finish. "Cody if you were planning on stealing a car and your first plan failed, your not gonna wait five or so minutes and re plan it and go back. The owner of the cars going to be on red alert." Aslinn did have a point unless they were truly desperate most people went back and took some time to re plan their next move, She switched directions and began driving towards her apartment trying to appease him. "Well it didn't sound selfish until about the middle." Aslinn teased softly as she turned into the parking lot and parked.

Aslinn led Cody into the lobby before taking him up several flights of stairs and opening the door to her apartment. She led him inside and shut the door; "see look nothings been touched. She didn't come here." Aslinn looked around the apartment and everything appeared to be as she'd left it. Her eyes were growing watery and she started feeling queasy.

Under one of the small end tables in the living room however there was a small pile of herbs atop a silver tray that was producing a small bit of smoke. On top of the nightstand there was a weird black bottle. Aslinn simply wandered around the apartment looking at everything not noticing the small smoke or the bottle. Her sister had left the bottle figuring someone would move the table trying to grab the smoking herbs. When the table was moved the bottle would fall over and shatter covering the area in a high grade accelerant that would cause a massive fire if it touched the flaming herbs.

Aslinn was feeling dizzy and she barely heard Cody talking. Looking around she said "no i'm not.. I don't leave stuff burning." Looking around in the room she made her way over to the side table. Looking she noticed the smoke and tried pulling the table. When she pulled the table the black bottle shook before falling off and breaking all over the floor. As soon as it hit the floor the accelerant inside hit the smoldering herbs and suddenly that whole corner came ablaze. Aslinn backed up getting partly singed by the flames. She managed to turn around and she moved shakily to Cody. "W-we n-need t-to leave." she said before she began coughing as smoke rapidly filled the apartment.

Aslinn managed to get him to the elevator and clung to the railing as it went down. She clung to the railing struggling to keep her balance. Looking over at him she spoke hearig the sirens "for the love of god let me do the talking. My father had a friend who knew about us and he'll be the one we need to talk with." Once she spoke the elevator landed and she carefully helped him outside.

The closer they got outside the louder it was getting; there was a firetruck pumping water at her apartment trying to get the flames while a few other's were preparing to enter the building. The tenants who had already gotten out were talking to the police. Not long after two firemen entered the building and they ran forward noticing them both. "I take it you two were in the apartment... come on lets get you out of here. There's an ambulance outside The men had noticed the burns on Aslinn's clothing and the frailty of them both at this moment.

Aslinn walked over to an ambulance and she sat there shivering and shaking violently. When his aunt showed up she blushed before she turned looking at her. "i-i'm sorry mam this mess is my fault." When Cody explained everything she looked at him before she heard him say i told you so.. "so i guess she knows your uncles history." No sooner had she said that than a middle aged paramedic walked up.

He had dark black hair and a soft grin. Looking at the two of them he spoke trying to make a joke to lighten the mood. "Last time i saw you you'd broken your arm.... now your blowing stuff up. Dear lord i know your father said you were a firecracker but still; this is a tad bit extreme. My names Devin now lets get a look at you two" Devin looked at Cody first checking his eyes carefully and examining his body for any injuries. He grabbed a stethoscope and pressed it to his chest. "alright i need you to try taking several deep breaths. can you tell me how your feeling at this moment." He had intended to look at Cody first since he still assumed he was human; he knew somewhat of Cody's lineage but assumed there was no making him an anthro again.

Devin listened to Cody and frowned. Walking away for a moment he climbed into the ambulance from the front and he walked over to cody with an Oxygen tank and a mask. "alright i want you to put this on for about 15 minutes kid. It'll help with the immediate detox and help with some of the long term effects. Just breath that stuff in it's pure oxygen" Once that was set up he looked up and down at Aslinn before he looked at the police chief and asked her "i need you to keep an eye on Cody for a bit. Also make sure no one gets near the ambulance." Once that was done he shifted helping her up before he made two sets of blackout curtains appear. The first set covered the front and the second seat covered the back. Cody would still be able to hear her but he wouldn't be able to see her. It wasn't long and Devin had Aslinn in her anthro form and he'd removed the burnt parts of clothing frowning as he treated them.

Aslinn looked at his aunt when she told her she shouldn't be sorry, looking up at her she sighed a bit. "yes... but if i hadn't been stubborn in the first place Cody wouldn't be different, and he wouldn't be sitting on the back of an ambulance injured." She didn't find much humor in the paramedics joke and truthfully she was more worried about Cody. When Devin began examining her it was mostly quiet but a few yelps and cries of pain did slip out. Most of her body was fine but there were several small spots that were currently furless. Eventually he'd put her charm back on and given her an oxygen mask before slipping his jacket on her shoulders and eventually pulled the curtain back..

Aslinn was sitting there shaking slightly and breathing in deeply on the oxygen. As soon as Cody asked her if she'd stay with him she wearily shook her head yes. Looking at him she rested against the wall of the ambulance.

Devin eventually walked over to Cody and his aunt before informing them "it's as i suspected. She's missing several small patches of fur; i've given her a salve and bandaged them up but it could be a week or longer before it starts growing back. She's got ten minutes left on that tank. Her lungs are worse than cody's but not by much; otherwise lots of rest for the both of you. Now if you'll excuse me i'll be falsifying the medical reports for two 'humans'." He Then walked off and began filling the proper paperwork carefully recording the proper information down for the police.
