Chrysicai
Her unease and confusion became horror as Archimonde gloated over his victory. She shut her notebook and shoved it deep into the satchel at her side, tying the flap shut with hurried fingers, there was blood and she would be needed back at the weyr. She had to find the nearest rider to take her!
Turning from the stage she pushed her way into the crowd only to stagger under the weight of the dying dragons cry. Benden...lost? How could that be? Keller...killing people in her home. Benden! A passing thought was spared for her mother and father but disappeared the moment it surfaced. There were more important things going on than a couple of parents who didn't care for her.
Her eyes were dry, her manner determined. From the cries around her the other weyrs were under attack, people and dragons being injured across the planet. She rushed through the chaos and grabbed the sleeve of the first rider she could find.
It was a young girl, next to a small Blue, good someone who would likely listen to direction. "You! I'm a healer I can help! Take me to the Weyr! Now!"

[K'en and Stromath of Benden] ((Tagging B'nen, Brumath, Gneisth))
Benden is lost! Benden is lost!
The cry sent a fierce chill through K'en, as did her and her rider's death shortly after. Benden was... lost? How could that possibly be true? Benden was their home. Proud, strong Benden that had always held it's head high... This couldn't be happening. Everything was erupting into chaos all around them and dragons were broadcasting openly in attempts to rally together, only further adding to the confusion. The bronzerider was numb as he listened.
Stromath and His will also come! the bronze called to Brumath after Gneisth had thrown in his own declaration of support, his eyes whirling something fierce. Privately to His, he added, Come, Mine! We've no time to waste.
The call of his dragon was enough to pull him out of his numb shock, but his brother's remark gave him brief pause. Had his twin actually ever dealt with Kindra? "I don't think we can stop her," he replied, "but we will protect her. Let's move." The longer they delayed, the more people were being slaughtered back at home.
Just as he was nearly to his dragon's side, the bronze relayed to him another message. Tyeth calls us to join the fight for Trine. The dragon's displeasure at this change in plans was abundantly clear.
To Trine? But, surely there were some at Benden who could still be saved... Then it is to Trine we go, he answered reluctantly, climbing aboard his dragon's back. Let Gneisth and my brother know of this change in plans... And tell them to be careful.
Will do. Addressing Gneisth as he took off into the sky, he said, The Dawn Fliers have been ordered to Trine to help with the battle there. We know not what orders your own wing gives, but Mine expresses his wish that you both be careful.

C'rci and Bolth -tagging Chrysicia C'rci glanced to the girl beside her in surprised, Fasha the crimson flit hissing at this new approacher, but after a quick thought from C'rci settled down. A healer!? Well they'd certainly need plenty of them back at Malvren if there was fighting to be had. Gritting her teeth she nodded. Mine we need to fly! Bolth urged with a shudder. He didn't want to fight or his to fight. He was terrified, but C'rci would not be kept away this he knew. "We'll take you." C'rci barked back her voice determined and despite the tears staining her cheeks her gold eyes seemed to burn. Reaching out she snagged the healer and spun tossing the girl up so she could catch the riding straps of Bolth with the strength born of countless days of work. Bending Bolth did his best to aid the healer, letting out a croon to try and comfort the woman and his rider as C'rci swung up into the straps clipping herself in and turning to tie the healer in as well. "Hold on!" She ordered as Bolth crouched tightening the muscles in his legs to leap up into the air fanning is wings at take off and gliding before like a light winking out the three had gone between to Malvren.

(Tag Sunnath etc & Gneisth)
Brumath bugled as his rider climbed onto his back, addressing all present dragons of Benden once more. So saying he sprang into the air and took the between image from F'itz. Before he vanished however he addressed Gneisth privately, silenty disappointed that it seemed the bronze who had been planning to come now bowed to the boy wingleader and the girl gold rather than seeking to save life. With these words the old brown roared and vanished from view.
[[Brumath going to Benden to try to rescue survivors will not be played out.]]

Harmony too was less than thrilled at being left out of the plotting of this, but on the whole far too excited to worry about that. Spotting a familiar wher nearby she shoved past people roughly, kicking with her pointy metal toed boots where she needed to until she arrived beside Dinah.
"I don't know!" she replied to the other young handler's question. "I'd hoped you might know what's going on...." Where did Dinah stand? She had made her own feelings about riders quite clear on many occasions, so the other woman would no doubt guess the choice she had made so easily. Abruptly not feeling too secure she called out to Harmonsk, and felt his adrenaline fuelled acknowledgement; he would be with her soon.

N'mol hauled on Kindra's arm, thankful that Tyeth held steady as he helped the girl onto his dragon's back, placing her in front of him since he had no straps for her at the moment. Without needing to be instructed, Tyeth swept after Suunath to drop off Kindra. N'mol wrapped an arm around her to keep steady on the short glide to Suunath, and then Tyeth lowered himself so that Kindra could slide onto her own dragon with ease.
Brumath goes to Benden to rescue survivors.
N'mol closed his eyes briefly, but that was the only outward acknowledgment. He knew some of his wing would return rather than going to Trine, and he couldn't blame them. However, it would just be survivor detail. In the meantime, the other weyrs might fall. N'mol would make sure that those who fled Benden or returned and had to leave again would have a place to go when it was over.
He looked down at Kindra. "Stay close to me. When we get there, keep Suunath out of harm's way and help whatever Goldrider took over when Abigail fell direct the weyrfolk. Do not put yourself in harm's way," he repeated, his gaze direct. Kindra hated orders, but in this case N'mol wasn't going to have time to play around with the issue. Tyeth couldn't order a Gold, but if Kindra-- as far as he knew, their last Goldrider-- threw herself into the fighting, N'mol would have words with her later that she wouldn't like. But that was for later, if it happened. Hopefully now would be when Kindra stepped up and showed that she could be a Weyrwoman.
Go, Tyeth.
Tyeth lifted into the air, drawing his gaze away from Suunath. I have no coordinates to Trine.
Get some from a rider in our wing who has been there, or a Benden rider who has, then.
A moment of mindspeaking, and suddenly, N'mol was between.
((That is the last post for N'mol. Dawn Fliers, if you choose to follow your Wingleader, the posts from here on will take place in the Trine subforum Combat thread!))

[Dinah/sk to Harmony]
When Harmony appeared, Dinah had to suppress a grin. One of theirs, good. She'd been feeling more than a little outnumbered out here. She responded to the other woman in a low voice, stroking Dinahsk's neck in a calming manner. She was docile for a wher, but this was quite a big, panicked crowd, and far more than she was used to.
"We've got Benden, but I wanna know what the riders are up to. If they're going to another Weyr, maybe we should, too. We got left out this time, but maybe we can help somewhere else." This was all said quietly, so no others could hear.

(Tag Dinah)
Harmony repressed a grin; grinning at a time like this would seriously give them away. "Good idea," she replied in hushed tones as Harmonsk came up beside her, having ploughed easily through the throng of people. "How about this," the redhead went on quickly, "we split up and try to find somebody giving orders. As soon as one of us finds something, we get our wher to send word to the other's partner; we'll cover more ground like that and maybe find out faster. Sound good?" It was the first idea that had come to her mind, but today she was willing to set aside her pride and desire to have things go the way she had suggested if Dinah had a better idea.

Ancientcrafter Archimonde listened to the chaos erupt around him and was pleased by it. Each person here had fallen into the trap and now they trampled their comforts and their games beneath panicked feet. His escape...
.... his escape had not yet been made. The familiar rush of wings was not present. Was it delayed? What happened?
Fear began to creep into his heart, the shouts to kill him sending a cold shiver down his spine. They would destroy him? He'd done nothing but help and they wanted his blood for siding with the logical side? He stepped back, stumbling away. He barely dodged the first rush then turned tail and ran for the wilderness.
Above, another dragon emerged in the air amid the chaos of the departing riders. A blue - riderless and oddly calm in the face of all the pain and grief. He roared, speaking to no one, and Archimonde spotted him. They were racing the clock before he was caught. Sweeping down, the mysterious blue grabbed the rider and disappeared between once more.

[Dinah/sk to Harmony/Harmonsk, then any rider/dragon]
"Sounds good," Dinah agreed with a nod, while Dinahsk thrummed a welcome to Harmonsk, swinging her head in the bronze's direction. That said, she wasted no time in getting to work. Pulling the improvised blindfold from DInahsk's eyes with a soft apology - sorry, sweetie, but you'll have to deal with the light for awhile - she headed off in search of 'directions' from a rider.
"Hey!" the woman called, hoping someone would actually listen. "Hey, we wanna help! Someone just tell us what to do!"
Bigs! Bigs! Dinahsk tried to broadcast at her handler's urging. Help?

Kindra stayed silent when hauled up by N'mol, she leaned back against him a little when he held her tightly so she didn't fall off the Bronze. When he let her down she looked up at him, as he looked down and still she didn't say a word and merely nodded. No way was she about to put Suunath in danger.
Her face a mask as she mounted Suunath and urged her to follow after Tyeth. She wouldn't break down in front of anyone, not even N'mol, at least not right now. They were heading to Trine... but would Trine even have them once the mess with the Whers was cleaned up.
Her mind raced... the Goldrider she'd seen earlier.. she'd been a Trine rider right? .. at least there'd be a slightly familiar face. If she couldn't help her home Weyr... rivalries or not... she'd help rid Trine of the vermin that dared to try and take over where Dragons belonged. She gave Suunath the order and she took her coordinates from Tyeth even as he jumped Between and they followed, for now she would allow herself to be guided, told what to do, her entire world was crumbling and no matter what mask she put on for outward appearences, inside she was crumbling along with them. Her innate pride having no place at this moment.
[Suunath and Kindra have followed Tyeth to Trine, any rider wishing to follow them must report to Tyeth and N'mol. Suunath would prefer as many dragons follow their Queen as possible but no one HAS to]

[Lilah and Rhodonth]
Mine, I cannot find Horenth or Ukath, but Suunath wants us to follow her and Tyeth, Rhodonth relayed to Lilah, flaring her wings while she sent panicked, wordless emotions of worry and love to any dragon in the area, or who spoke to her. Eventually, she gathered that some were going to Trine, and told this to her rider as well.
To fight? No. Lilah told her dragon almost immediately. If we fight, we die. We need to get clear of here first, figure things out, then we decide what to do. We're not going to Trine, or any other Weyr. Not yet.
The green assented reluctantly, and after a burst of love and apology towards her fellow dragons, she jumped into the air and blinked between to somewhere far away and safe.

D'lin & Plexith
D'lin cursed as the ancientcrafter stumbled back and away from his first charge, but he was not about to give up and followed the man off the back of the stage, leaping off to hit the ground at a run. A familiar rush of wings overhead drew his attention however and looking up as the riderless blue roared and picked up Arcimonde.
"Plexith!' D'lin called to his bronze but the great wings were already propelling the metallic to his rider. Too late however, the smaller, swifter bronze was already gone and Plexith's roar echoed his rider's frustration 'Plexith..bring him back, order that blue to return!' D'lin demanded though he knew it was a dull hope.
'There is no answer mine, I cannot find him' The bronze stated in a seething tone as he landed by his rider. Cursing D'lin wasted no time in leaping aboard his bronze, looking at Z'iv and the other bronze rider who had come after Archimonde with him. "Get to your dragons..return to the Weyrs, Save our homes..we'll search out the traitor afterwards: He promised them and then ordered Plexith into the sky.
'To Trine! To Trine!' The bronze broadcast 'Fly to save our home!' And broadcasting an assembly location to those of his wing who remained - a spot where they could gather before descending on the traitors at Trine en mass before he blinked between.
((D'lin and Plexith have returned to Trine - or rather a spot close to Trine where the wing can gather and fly in together if any of you decide to follow him))

Hekate and Devith Any TRINE rider or dragonWe need aid! Devith roared out to any rider and dragon from Trine he could recognize that was big enough to ferry the still flightless Jr. Weyrlings to safety. The fact he had to do so made him seethe, but he would not risk him and his being left here. Not with those murderers running amok! He had his siblings to think off! "Keep your eyes peeled for any Trine rider that can get us aloft!" Hekate ordered her tone firm and determined as she nodded to Syn and Dizzian. She needed to get all of them home and some how. Scanning the crowd she cursed spotting a Trine bronze go between. Well one down, but there had to be others!

Eliza & Velath Tag Hekate
When the young silver called out Velath responded 'I can help some of you, I am Velath of Trine' She introduced herself before directing her rider to the proper location. It wasn't long before Eliza skid to a puffing halt beside the young pair. "I'm Eliza...Velath said you needed help" Velath was just a green but she could handle some of the smaller hatchlings "How many of your clutch mates are stranded ?"

-Trine- Tag Hekate/S’kor and Scarath S’kor had turned to help his Wingleader with Z’iv, but the man made a successful escape on a riderless blue. He growled and pushed back to Scarath. They would have to deal with him later. Right now the Weyrs were the priority. Scarath? Check with Dynith and be sure Optheli is ok. We’re following D’lin.
The large bronze roared with frustration. Dynith, gather Yours and follow the Wingleader. A young dragon roaring caught his attention. Devith! Have you found someone? I can carry several. Scarath stood to his full height. His eyes flashing angrily.
