Janis nodded. "I'll be fine. I thought when I got my own place I'd be free from that woman." she sighed. "I'll take the pill." She held out her hand for it. "I suppose you should know she'd not really my Aunt. Not biologically anyway." She sighed and sat down beside him. After a moment she leaned her head on his shoulder. "I feel bad for the man you ate, but I can forgive. I wish others could." she commented.

Fey of Silver Light Janis nodded. Cornelius looked away from her and handed her the pill. "Don't mention him anymore. You're making me kind of feel worse about what I did." He added, "Although she's not your biological Aunt she's a horrible family member if she forces you to live alone while your other family gets to live in luxury. Am I right if I assume your family is like a Cinderella tale?" For some reason his eyes shifted back towards Janis and her body, especially her belly. "I should tell you one more thing about your transformation. The more food you eat the more likely you'll be a much bigger dragon than other dragons normally would. As in the more you eat the taller you get. I don't know." Cornelius said with a shrug.

Janis flinched. "Sorry I didn't mean too." She couldn't help but chuckle at his theory. "You make my life sound like a romantic story. That a prince will come and sweep me off my feet." she grinned, blushing as she glanced at him. "No. All of us girl's call her Aunt because that's what she expects of us. She kind of runs an "unoffical" ophanage for homeless girls." she explained. "I don't turn her away because I owe her my live. She took me in when I had no one. I actually avoided her until I caught pnuemonia. At that time I had little choice." she said, shaking her head with a wry smile. "I always was stubborn then."

"Sounds kind of troublesome my life and yours." Cornelius stated glumly. "I guess I can change your lie here and now with the few things I can do for you and you've got to promise to do the same for me." Cornelius gave her a lopsided smile and held out his pinky in order to make him pink promise. "By the way, I hope your stomach feels better you might be eating a lot more than you expect soon."

Janis smiled and wrapped her pinky around his. "I promise. And thank you." she said looking away. Then she sighed. "This transformation thing is so troublesome. Oh!" she said remembering what he had said earlier. "I... I don't think I'd mind being your girlfriend in "the next few weeks". she teased quoting him, her cheeks were still colored pink with her blush.

Time seem to fly by much to Janis's surprise. Her appetite increased as much as Cornelius said it would and to her dismay she gained ALOT of weight. Cornelius kept her mind preoccupied enough that she didnt dwell on that often. Still she had her moments. Janis had had to work a spell on her property so noone would be able to find it. It saved them unnecessary questions and uncomfortable visits from Aunt Diana. For which they were both very grateful. The man in the basement had only woken up for brief periods over the month. His wounds were healing but he seemed to be in a delirous state. Janis had asked for Cornelius's help in taking care of him, for the older man was deceptively strong. And all this time Cornelius and Janis had gotten closer in their relationship. However Janis still made a point of avoiding conversations about becoming more than a girlfriend, Now the day she was to leap off a cliff had finally arrived....

And all this time Cornelius and Janis had gotten closer in their relationship. However Janis still made a point of avoiding conversations about becoming more than a girlfriend, Now the day she was to leap off a cliff had finally arrived.... To help her on that day of course was Cornelius. He did a few things before going out to do this though and one of them was to check on the old man. When he opened the door he found him muttering in his sleep. The last time he'd woken up a few days ago poor Cornelius had gotten through against the wall when he accidentally spilled some water on the sheets. The man had fortunately gone back to sleep then and was still in this manner since then. He walked up from the basement though shutting the man's door behind him and walked into the kitchen where he expected to find Janis that morning. "Janis are you in here? It's time to take that little test I told you about all so long ago." He cracked his knuckles and hoped she would come to him. He didn't want to go to her. He kind of felt sad for her since in his opinion all the new weight on her body had made her a bit sluggish.

Janis was coming down the stair after hearing him call her. She been reading in her room to pass the time. She'd had a feeling about what he was up to and had gotten nervous. So nervous that she'd lost her appetite for the first time that month. So she'd gotten a book to distract herself with. She looked at him now, uncertainty plain on her face. "I'm right here. Cornelius, I don't know if I can do this." she said, voice an octave higher that usual. Her hands were clasped tightly in front of her. "What if I die?"

I can catch you before you hit the ground." Cornelius stated as he turned around and looked at her. He was surprised how much her belly stuck out in front of her. "Also, since you're about as heavy as I'm supposed to be we'll need to walk where we're going." He walked over to her and gave her a kiss. "You'll be okay."

Janis tried to smile, but it looked more like a grimace. She took his hand and allowed herself to be lead where ever the cliff was located. Because of the extra amount of weigh around her middle her gate was more of a waddle. She hoped that she could keep up. She seemed to tire easily now.

Cornelius led her carefully over the flat ground behind her house finding it quite convenient she had such a place behind her home. He moved very slowly so that she could walk next to her. "I sense you're going to be quite a great dragon." He stopped at the edge of the cliff with her and said, "I'm going to push you off now so don't get scared." He walked behind her and put his hands on her squishy back. Some of the weigh on her body had ended up there it seemed to him. Or maybe it was him imagining things since they weighed about the same now. He gave her a gentle push and said, "Good luck."

Janis eyes widened. "Hey wait, can't I--?" the words stuck in her throat as she found herself falling through open air. She couldn't help screaming as she fell tumbling down over the cliffside. She tried to stablized herself and just managed to, but she also found herself staring at the ground as it rushed to meet her. She squeezed them shut. I DON'T WANT TO DIE she thought, even though Cornelius had assured her she wouldn't. There was a brief feeling of pain through her back, and then she suddenly slowed. She peeked through one eyes and looked down. Her feet lightly touched the ground. Her legs gave out and she sat hard on the ground, hand on her pounding chest. "How...?" she wondered feeling a little odd. Looking behind her, she expected to see that Cornelius had caught her. Instead saw half of a wing spread out behind her. It took a second for that to register. Slowly she pulled them in, folding them behind her. It was odd, like an extra pair of limbs. She was too stunned to speak.

Cornelius shouted down to her, "You caught yourself on a nice updraft with that wing of yours You're going to need to concentrate more and burn off the energy you built up over the month. If you do that and you'll never have to think of being fat again." Cornelius saw the wing was quite big compared to her body. That was good, she had managed that much this far. Now she just had to do the rest.

Janis tried to stand but only the one wing out it threw her off balance. She fell over. Cursing she tried to stand up again, flapping that one wing. Where the heck was the other? She could even stand let alone fly like this. She was annoyed now and willed the other to appear. To her surprise the other finally came out. She flinch at the pain, but it was too brief to even make a fuss over. Now she had a lovely pair of silvery blue wings. She sat there setting them behind her. "Uuummm. What do I do now?!" she called up. She hoped she didn't have to do much. She was exhausted. The adrenaline from the fall must have taken it's toll. She took a deep breath to steady herself and ended up yawning.
