Gallion
Legend of Garnoff

As the city neared to nightfall, the sun dipping into the horizon, Gallion strode down to the Western Gates where his lord had recently been brought through. It was unfortunate for the Elite Silver Knight, but had he been present for the passing of the fallen heir, Gallion was unsure that he would have been able to hold himself from eliminating the band of Hunters. This of course would go against his lord's orders however, and thus the legend of Garnoff had to withhold himself in order to withhold his blade.

His steps were steady, a march of discontent for the knight, and as he approached the West Gates Gallion removed his helm. Placing the protective piece over his chest, and giving low bow the Silver Knight gave a late farewell to his lost king.

"None shall make wrong what you sought to make right my lord." The knight vowed, proclaiming that should Skyron betray his people that the Knight himself would remove the brat from his undeserved throne, but as he gave this vow, only to be heard by the dust and the wind, a familiar presence approached. "Queen...Issemenna?"

As a figure rushed forward, though without the hold of his lord's wife's features, Gallion stepped forth to grip the frantic woman by the arm.

"Where are you going?" He asked, his piercing gaze seeming as if it could cut through her disguise.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Menna's eyes widened as a Silver Knight walked up and grabbed her by the arm, calling her by her full name. He was the second to see through her disguise. She would be scared enough to turn back had she not fooled a group of Hunters into believing she was someone other than the one person they were looking for. "I...I am not a queen." She stammered. The man looked familiar, it took her a moment to place him. He was a legend among the Silver Knights, with some dengen abilities. He was utterly loyal to Oban, more so than even most of the knights. The road was empty beyond the two. There was no reason to hold the secret, even though she held her current appearance.

"If I'd stayed in Garnoff, I'd be Skyron's wife by now." She said quietly. The thought still disgusted her. "But I'm of use to no one if all I do is hide." She found it hard not to squirm under his gaze. But she was certain of what she needed to do. "Now please, let me go." The request was stilted and awkward, as she wasn't used to requesting things of someone who was supposed to be answering to her husband.

Gallion
Legend of Garnoff

As his queen attempted to move past, requesting that he remove his grasp, Gallion simply shook his head. The sky was becoming darker, and the day fast falling to night with storm clouds reaching the Grand Port by then. As a breeze swept through the glowing city like a guidance from a silver deity, Gallion recalled the vow that he'd taken, and the man he'd taken if for.

"No wife of King Oban shall ever be without a Silver Knight by her side....but I could not bare to watch you be tormented by the foolish Skyron... My lady, for your sake, for Oban my greatest friend's sake, for Garnoff's sake...I will not leave your side wherever you may go, until you can do more than simply hide." Gallion proclaimed. Looking about as he sensed another presence, the wary legend spotted a torch bearer making his way through the city. Surely this was a sign that nightfall was fast approaching, and of course this meant it was the perfect time for the two to make their departure.

"My lady, tis nearly the hour when the sun settles past the horizon." Jabbing a finger towards the ominous clouds that fast approached the city, Gallion explained his intentions. "With a storm at our backs, the skies cleansing our every steps from the earth, none shall be able to follow us...All I need to know is your wishes, where is it that you will remain from this rising tyrant?" He asked, releasing the queen's arm and pushing back a strand of hair from his eyes.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Menna was nervous as the knight refused to let her go. As loyal as the knights were, would he consider the best path for her one that went back to Garnoff? It was safer for her to be sure, but she couldn't stand the thought. A knot formed in her stomach when he spoke of how she should never be without a Silver Knight. But then he continued and she was relieved. She had to admit the idea of someone else there was a comforting one. It had taken all her strength to take down when man when he wasn't looking. How worse would she fare when she was faced with an opponent that was fighting back?

"Thank you." She said quietly. She thought for a long moment. She'd refused to tell Elle and had only hinted about it after that. But as he was going along, there was no reason to withhold the information. "I am going to the Fountain of Mastery." She said, looking at the coming clouds. "I need to find a bone dengen master to teach me." She wasn't sure how he would respond to it or if he would suggest another course of events, such as hiding. She couldn't stand to sit by idly while her husband was fighting for his life and the city that was supposed to be her sanctuary was slowly crushed under the thumb of a dictator.

Gallion
Legend of Garnoff

"The Fountain of Mastery eh." Gallion mumbled, a smile appearing upon his features even during this time of gloom. After all the knight himself had sought those of higher knowledge, and those of greater skill in order to rise to where he stood today. It was respectable as well for the queen to desire to make herself more useful to the people how needed her. How could he deny her this?

"Then to the fountain we shall go."The Elite proclaimed. As Gallion spoke the words, he waved his right hand over his armor, lightly scrapping against it as if it were too coarse to apply pressure. As he did so, the armor appeared to separate into numerous chain links, forming first into chainmail, then continuing to break down the silver armor became a simple grey attire of cloth. "I suppose we should both wear disguises after all." He chuckled, sending his hand back to pull his cowl low over his features. "Let us leave."

She watched as his armor changed into plain gray cloth. While she had her own share of dengen, it still surprised her. She shook her head at her own ignorance. She still had much to learn and so little time to learn it in. "Thank you." She said with a relieved smile. She decided a companion would be welcome in her journey, especially since she wasn't exactly sure where to go. She pulled her cloak more tightly around herself, aware of the wind picking up around them. She began walking again, coming up toward the gate. "Will the guards recognize you?" She asked, more out of conversation than nervousness. The Hunters were gone and the Silver Knights were loyal...or so she hoped.

Gallion
Legend of Garnoff

"Even if the Silver Knight's present are not so loyal to Oban as most, there are none who search those leaving the city. With this hood pulled over my features the soldiers upon the high gates wouldn't know me from any marketing fool about the city." Gallion assured her, taking the first steps towards the West Gates. As the winds began to press more violently, carrying the rain clouds over the shores of Garnoff, the Elite knew it would be time for he and the Queen to depart. First we'll need to pass through Grand Port...then it's onward to the Fountain.

Do'Roelin

“Ah, to the glowing city at last” Master Do’Roelin smiled, for the dim compass had become some what brighter upon his arrival to the North Gate. This was a sure sign that his intended Erzelemmentes was near by, ready for him to extract his essence. “Tick tock my misfortunate prey, your time is running short.” The Azarian laughed aloud, receiving a peculiar look from the guards upon the high gates.

“What is your business traveler.” A short but bulky fellow asked, his glare far more intimidating than many who shared his stature.

“Tis a simple request from the Guild of Mastery.” Do'Roelin began. "As Master of Erzelemmentes study and extraction, I request entrance to Garnoff good soldier." The white haired man asked politely. The title had often given him passage in days before, allowing him to enter cities to extract various Erzelemmentes throughout the world. Unfortunately, by the appearance of angered confusion upon the gate keeper's features, perhaps the stout fellow was unaware of what Erzelemmentes were.

"Well...uhh...If yer really from da Fountain, den I guess ya can come in, but we'll be searchin ya just the same." He announced, scratching his well groomed beard.

"Perfect" Do'Roelin smiled.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Menna kept self-consciously pulling at her hood as she moved forward. The gate loomed over them, as if it was prepared to fall and crush them. But they passed through easily enough, gaining only slight attention from the guards. Still, she didn't relax until they were past and on their way moving. She was still unsure of where she was going or if this venture would even work. But she'd made it out of the city, outsmarted the Hunters, and had gained a companion. She could manage the journey ahead. "Lead the way." She said to Gallion.

Gallion
Legend of Garnoff

As the two traveler's trails left through the West Gates, their long journey to join those of the Guild of Mastery, the clouds filled with rain finally began to pour down upon them, soaking Garnoff in a coat of thick precipitation.

"As you may depart from home....
....to the world you are destined to roam....
never forget the path behind.....
.....and forever cherish your journey's climb."

Gallion recited the poem softly, something he often mumbled before leaving the city he'd grown up within as a reminder of where his roots truly lie. Through the rain and the winds, the Elite was uncertain that the Queen would have even heard his voice, let alone understand its great truth.

Despite the time he had spent in his room, Chris had hardly slept. Instead, he had been thinking intently over the question that plagued his mind. By now, though, he figured out the answer and closed his eyes as he confirmed it in his head. He would leave the city, as the potential oncoming civil war was none of his concern. Shifting his gaze and position toward the door, he sat there in silence as he stared straight away, faintly recalling that night at Anoch. For some reason, he had expected someone to be there again, wishing to talk about some subject of their choosing. Sighing to himself, though... he knew that that wasn't going to happen.

Upon arrival at the new destination, Charlotte exited off the ship with haste before being noticed that she even was able to sneak aboard. While over at the docks, she walked to some of the bulletin board to see that her wanted poster even made it out this far.

Looks like traveling to new places is going to be hard no matter what...Again she pulled her hat down to hide herself, it was like they were treating her as though she made the crime. She is as innocent as a child, they were the ones who enslaved her! She is not some prize to be auctioned off or won!

Ugh! men are so difficult to ever understand. For now she needed lodging, some food and sleep should help calm her down. Hopefully with the head shot of her with out the hat will throw people off making them believe it's not her. at least they down have her full body portrait or that would definitely make things a whole lot harder.

Upon entering the tavern, she noticed most were men and some women who worked there worked as entertainers or waitresses. At least it was a place full of song, something that she enjoyed. When she sat down a drunken man asked her to sing a song. Charlotte stayed silent but looked among the guest of this place and gave off a small smile. So she then sat up on the counter and began to sing Irsih Roses. People began to raise their glasses and cheer at her song, others swayed and listened in.

After a while of staring and idle waiting for sleep, the wanderer finally sighed as he knew now that he wouldn't be able to rest. Getting himself cloaked up, his weapon once again on his back, he decided that he might as well head downstairs to the public portion of the tavern. As he stepped out of his room and began to head for the stairs, something had caught his attention. It was faint at first due to distance, but it steadily grew louder as he descended the steps. It was a song... sung by a feminine voice. As soon as he had eyesight of the people downstairs, he quickly found the origin of the voice. A woman in an elegant style of clothing was the singer, her form sitting upon the counter as the people around her cheered and swayed to her voice.

If he could have actually said or felt it, Chris might have thought that she had a beautiful voice. To him, though, a song was a song and a voice was a voice. The only difference between people involving them was their talent to speak and sing, and she definitely seemed to have the talent. Once at the flooring, Chris slowly made his way to a wall-side table, sitting there in silence as he partially listened to the woman's song, but mostly focused his gaze straight ahead to nothing.

User Image After the song died down, men and women cheered and applauded. Even to the point to have a fiddler play the viola, people would clap and dance about to the new jig. Charlotte laughed as she smiled and clapped along to the beat, slowly stopping as she caught sight on a cloaked man who had entered the room.

With the way he looked, he seemed young yet sought his shares of battle. The Spire slowly made her way towards the stranger, taking a seat beside him up on the table instead of the chair. "The Language of English is very hard to pronounce." Charlotte started in her accent before looking upon the man with a smile.

Maybe this one could help her. Say, hide from authorities and keeping her identity a secrete..

For a while, during and after the song, Chris was able to sit there in silence and 'peace'. It didn't take long for something to disturb the lingering moment though, as he turned to face the source, he found it to be the woman whom had been singing the song earlier. Upon gazing up to that smile of hers, he became aware of two things. The first involved her accent. From the way he figured, she was from a different land somewhere across the sea. Regardless of how she would try to make it sound, though, he was simply aware of how she spoke. The second, on the other hand... was her face. No, he didn't look at her and think she was beautiful or average or any of those terms. During his travels, he had passed by a few bounty boards which he had glanced upon. He couldn't recall what the charges were for, but her face and that one picture... were extremely uncanny.

"It seemed so," he said finally as he glanced at how she had chosen to sit on the table. Despite the fact that she was most likely the wanted woman, he had no desire to turn her in to the authorities. Even if he did, though, the city was currently in an uproar and power struggle. Chances would be that they wouldn't even bother to take her in... "What brings you around to this city?" he asked in his emotionless tone.
