Unit1294 Ghost Ophiuchus Unit1294 Ghost xUnknownxAngelx Unit1294 Ghost True, but yeah the Super Heavy Tank is from Epic. I recognize the design. I wonder what else they are adding in. Baneblades are also allowed in games for 40K. Any idea when the patch is going to be released to the public??? Really? I did not know that, but wouldn't it be kinda difficult? I mean a Baneblade and easily outshoot a landraider. Even has more armour plating then it. Hence the name Super Heavy Tank. the baneblade, much like a titan, takes up ONE force organisation chart. As such, it is not used in small games. Jesus hell, must be one hell of a fight. well, it's for games using so many points you ignore force organisation charts, quite simply. it even says by the warhound in IAU2004, "Titans are huge walking war machines, protected within powerful void shields and mounting massive weapons of destructive power. Titans can easily dominate the battlefields of the 41st millennium. Bear this in mind when fielding your Titan model. Unless you are playing on a large table (or even your back garden), then even a warhound, the smallest of the Titans, is going to dominate the tabletop. Normal tanks and infantry are not going to stand much chance when faced with a Titan's massive firepower. If you want a close, competitive game of Warhammer 40,000 then you are best leave the Titan on the shelf for now and field it either in specialist scenarios, or as part of a campaign or in a much larger games." ...just for example, i'll say about the vulcan mega-bolter. Heavy/10, Rending. Strength 6, Ap 4. That means 10 shots, with a chance to get up to 18 armor penetration value against vehicles, at BS 4, meaning 3+ to hit. o_O That's not even talking abvout the other mean weapons you can give them!

xUnknownxAngelx I prefer the Plasma Blastgun, and Turbo Lasers myself. why the plasma blastgun? it's a plasma cannon with 2d6 additional AP against vehicles.

I am a huge fan of anything having to do with Fire type weapons. My army is based on the Dark Ages (the real Dark Ages). During the Crusades, the Inquisition and such. Weapons like plasma, flame, and melta fits in very well with my "Cleanse and Purify" theme. My army believes that the only way to save a heretic or xenos' soul is to eviscerate them or burn them.

I thinks it's best to just leave titans out of 40k and keep them in epic.

The problem is, you first have to take down 2 shields (which count as armor 12 in the first plase, sadly... weak shield!) and then 3 structure points at least - you never know if the titan or super-heavy tank will get lucky and control the damage.

Really mean, when you can take out A Titan in one turn.

Although, they DO become fire magnets.

As it is, with the cost being so restrictive on Titans, it is A rather large point sink for A Fire Magnet.

And of course, the super-heavy damage tables are totally different to the damage tables to other vehicles.. makes it tougher to destroy.
