May 11th, 2005__________

A gentle roll of thunder crossed the dimly lit sky as the thin grey clouds swelled in size. Fae and Pueblo sat together in the yard before a text book; it was more than likely about Monet. As Fae read aloud to Pueblo about his watercolor-on-canvas technique, it was as if all at once the clouds bursted into a fit of falling water.

"Ah! Abby! The book...!"

Pueblo sprung to her feet, the sudden water shocking her into a loud screech and quickly sped for the porch. Why was this water always out to get her?! It seemed the sky leaked too much. -.o Once under the DRY roof, she quickly begun to preen her soaked feathers. Rechid water causing her to weigh twice as much with all this soppy fur!

But unluckily for Fae, she wasn't as quick as her child. She slammed the book closed and almost lost her footing in the wet grass! Grunting, she ran to the steps and flung the book forward ungracfully to save it from water damage. "Didja make it O.K, Abby?" She panted and sat down. Uggh, she felt all soggy! She looked at the book in her hands- it wasn't too badly damaged. Nothing a hair dryer couldn't fix! She finally got a better look at Pueblo and instantly started laughing. "Ohh, Pueblo! You should see yourself!" She pointed and laughed, then looked down and clutched her own wet skirt. "And look at me! Hahaha!" She fell down and started to laugh on her back, feeling the stares coming from the Aerandir.

Shortly after the pouring of rain turned into a slight drizzle, the two were found together in the hammock, carrying on with the reading and talking about the weather. "Doesn't this fresh air really add to these waterlilly paintings? You just have to stare and appriciate what message the artist is trying to get out- like his emotion in this one." She scratched Pueblo behind the ear that was still slightly wet, even after a good towel drying.

Pueblo cocked her head as she studied the picture in the book. Was that...more..water?! She was so sick of water! It's always sneaking up on you, no matter WHERE you were. But, oh, the flowers looked pretty. There were pinks, and blues, and greens... Flowers came from the water, too?

So, journal.

Kiro returned my research log, but I made the trip easy for him and brought Pueblo along to the Centre. He seemed happier today, but that's besides the point. Perhaps that first impression is fading (glad, too).

Pueblo's been extra frisky reccently and I cannot figure out why. Maybe it's the food? But I have been giving her every kind of nourishment proper to her growth: small rabbit steak cubes (since I cannot allow her to eat another live/dead thing @.@), daily reading (especially at night), play time (painting and goofing off), and other little things at random. She goes with me anywhere- even the bath! So I would know if something was wrong. But besides that, everything else seems okay. Perhaps I should go into the village and ask about it, but she isn't like, foaming at the mouth or anything. Haa.

May 18th, 2005__________

It was a sunny afternoon as the gentle creaking of ropes emitted from the porch. Without much weight, though larger than some of the other gryphons, Pueblo had found herself a comfty place inside the hammock. Her chin rested on her paw as lonesome puppy-eyes drearily looked around the warm atmosphere. Well, at least there was shade here.

Every now and then, her ears would rise off her head to listen at sounds, hoping they would come from friends. But without any luck, her chest heaved and sighed through her tiny beak. "Kiiiirrp.." After awhile of rest and listening to the trees, she decided to pad back inside the house..

She snook through the upstairs so no one would suspect that she was there, then swooping downstairs, she turned the corner into the empty room where her mother had convineatly turned into somewhat of a rough art studio. Looking around the room, she looked over her shoulder to make sure no one saw her, then quickly dashed for the paint cans. Of course none were completely open...but out of her mother's carelessness, she managed to nibble the loose green can lid off...

About a half hour later, Fae returned from the woods with a bundle of pinion in her arms. Even though the small cooking stove ran off coal, she thought that burning some incense-like-sticks would give the house a perminate and smokey-sweet scent. As she made her way to the porch, she stopped to look down at something unusal. It was a paw print..a green paw print. Furrowing her brows, she worried and didn't hesitate to go inside. "Oh my gosh..." she gasped and nearly dropped the sticks. On the carpet were even more slicks of green paint! "PUEBLO!" She yelled and dropped the fagot on the table. She store right where she knew Pueblo was. Was it any more obvious with a green trail?

Timidly, the little gryphon emerged from behind the single seat. Uh oh...that voice didn't promise anything special. And the sight of the gryphon smeared with green paint still dripping to the ground didn't exactly make mommy anymore happier. Her head drooped, knowing what she had did wrong. Or at least she knew it was wrong now.

Fae bit into her lower lip. Her eyes streaked across the room to examine all the damage, including the paint on her daughter's beautiful feathers. Taking in a deep breath and exhaling, she shook her head and knelt down. "At least.. at least it's washable paint. Foenix really did give me some good advice about getting that stuff. But next time you want to paint, get mommy first, okay? I know how Twizzler bores you, but you shouldn't walk around the house and make more of a mess for me to clean up." She scratched the Aerandir's wet head-dress and smiled reassuringly. "But now you'll have to take a bath, and I'll have to scrub paint out of your feathers. At least it's not normal paint or else we'd havea heck of a time." Fae then carried the fussy gryphon with outstretched arms (to avoid getting paint on her clothes) and gathered everything that would be needed for the bath. Because of the new art studio, the bath tub was forced outside in the exclusive backyard. Rub a dub dub, Abby in a tub!

Acia crept up to the doorway as the sun began to set in the west. Its dying rays cast a red hue over the Island, illuminating things in strange ways. Unperturbed by this dazzling show, she had grown up with it in the background all of her life afterall, Acia got on with her task.

Alyosha had become much more dependant on her of late to carry out even such important things as this - as if he didn't wish to see any other people at all.

From the small pouch that she carried - a simple soft leather bag she had made from the skin of one of Osero's kills, she withdrew a small package and a large sheet of paper. She pulled out another, smaller pouch and placed both items within, tying it with a small piece of red twine. She looked around for a large stone and, when she found it, placed it atop the smaller bag in front of the door, so it wouldn't blow away.

Letter

Dear Fae,

I have enclosed what will, hopefully, become Pueblo's bonded item. The item was reclaimed from an old digsite though only the shaft of it was still viable. The brush itself has been replaced, as has the ring holding the brush hair itself. Therefore I believe Pueblo will only join to the wooden part, the handle. This will mean that she can re-use her paintbrush and replace the brush part if need be.

You should expose Pueblo to this brush as soon as possible, hopefully it will have the desired effect.

yours,

Alyosha.

The following day was a cool and early one as the only sign of movement came from a restless gryphon below the first level. Pueblo stirred as she woke- something bothered her. Not being ableto fall back asleep, her ears drooped until a shake of her body got the blood flowing and crept upstairs where her huntch would be satisfied. Perhaps it was the sunlight calling to warm her body since it was afterall cooler in the basement.

As she emerged from the basement shoot, she looked around the quiet, deserted house. Padding around aimlessy and nibbling at a few books her mother had lain out the previous day, they didn't seem as interesting as the tingling feelings under her skin. Attempting to scratch them out with her hind leg, she finally fluttered to the window ledge that faced the front of the house and fluffed her feathers in the dim sunlight.

Upon preening herself, a glimpse of something on the porch caught her eye and stared at it. What was that..? Almost trying to intimidate the object with a blank stare, it didn't move. Giving a rather loud, and excited screech, her body jump with the same tingling feeling and fled to awaken her mother.

Moments later, Fae had groggily made her way upstairs with tangly hair...Pueblo had been too excited it seemed. "Wha...what is it?" She yawned and watched Pueblo leap against the door. Well that was a sure sign. "What's out there that you want so badly?" She asked as she opened the door.

Pueblo had rushed out the door from under Fae's feet and picked the little parsal up by its string. Her tail wagging back and forth, she eagarly held it up for her mommy to take. Open it, open it!

"Ehh?" People sure liked to leave things...not that she was complaning, though. It was just rare to receive anything back home, and it was nice seeing how others cared about you so much. Plucking it out of Pueblo's beak, though practically playing tug-a-war with her, she finally snatched it away to open up the leather pouch. There were two items- a letter, it seemed, and a paint brush? Deciding to read the letter first, her heart started to skip and looked over the tool that was left inside the bag. "Abby...! This is it! This is your bonding tool. We must wake everyone up!" And without even giving the poor creature somewhat of a peek, Fae turned around and aroused everyone up.

"Peep!" She trilled. Hey wait! I didn't get to see what it was! Bonding tool...?!

Soon, everyone was around the dinning table as Fae laid the brush in the middle of the hide cover. She centered it neatly as the tired bunch rubbed sand from their eyes, and the little Fenthry perched upon Twizzler's shoulders. "Abby...I love you, and I'm so proud of you," Fae said, hugging the gryphon in her arms. "Now don't be scared, it'll be alright. Nehanda was alright, just remember that, okay? And we'll still all be here," she reassured the gryphon. She knew Pueblo had been nervous about this before.

The next stage!
Pueblo's startled look didn't leave her face as she touched the object. It was different, odd, made her feel funny, almost... not herself anymore. Well, not the same shape anyway.

In an instant she had changed, her corporeal body shifted into something different, new. Trailing in a line from the paintbrush handle Pueblo now floated, peacefully, cheerfully. the strange feeling had gone and she now felt a great calm decend upon her.

(( biggrin In order for Pueblo to progress beyond the wisp stage, I'd like you to collect the following items and bring them to me:

1 small leaf
A plain metal neckchain
A plain metal ankle bracelet
1 small flower
4 small beads and 1 large bead
1 thick ribbon

You may get these by buying them from minishops, from other people drawing or creating them for you, or by drawing, creating or photographing them yourself (although no more than one item should be supplied by yourself.)
Pueblo should stay close to her bonded onbect at all times and should not be able to speak much or touch things while she is in this form.

May 19th, 2005__________

As the sun started to set, two shadows stretched across the grass and dirt until Fae and Pueblo reached home. Light glinted in Pueblo's translucentcey and sparkled in a mystical way- she shone like water reflecting the dying sun. As soon as they went inside, Fae prepared a quick dinner for the belly lurching family. Then, as soon as they were done, she situated Pueblo's paint brush on top of her doggy-basket and begun to tape the letter from Aly she had gotten today within her journal. Then picking up a pen, she started to write on the next page:

May 19th, 2005

Grrrreat, great news!!

Pueblo's a wisp! On her way to becoming a child!

This has to be just about the most exciting stage yet as far as her gryphonic went. Abby had found a leather parcal which concealed an artifact and this letter. It was her bonding tool- I wasn't sure what would happen, but I figured from reading the note that I must've gathered everyone to watch this 'desired effect' once 'giving it to Pueblo right away'.

She now floats as this little blue ghost, just as Nehanda did. Pueblo seems to stay above or around her paint brush most of the time, but other times, she's trying to pick things up (with no luck of course). I can't imagine how this depresses her, but I keep on reassuring her that she'll be able to hold something soon. She's awefully excited about having hands and I even found her staring at herself in the mirror. She's very calm and relaxed, but oh so curious like any child new to the world would be.

Now, I have to find a number of items to being back for Aly in order for Pueblo to move on:

- 1 small leaf
- A plain metal neckchain
- A plain metal ankle bracelet
- 1 small flower
- 4 small beads and 1 large bead
- 1 thick ribbon

So, I wrote Foenix and maybe I'll walk around every day to see if anyone's around thatcould help me out. smile

Yesterday, Pueblo and I re-met Keilin, Yakobi, and Anakiro. But this time, the scenary was different. While Pueblo was a wisp and stirred confusion and awe amongst out group, Chata, Taranis, and Tsukai were all gryphons! You should have seen Pueblo trying to interact with them- I just hope this temporary form doesn't contribute to a mechivious side of her. They were all very cute in their own way. Chata is quite the flash of the island (right next to Delta, of course) and very curious, but not clumsy like Osusuki. Taranis is a giant, cuddly polarbear-rockhopper penguin who is slow but silly. As for Tsukai, he was very small compared to the rest I've seen.

So everyone is helping me out on my quest. I didn't expect people to really jump on it, but Kiro found a bland leaf for me, which helps me out, so I was grateful. Keilin is getting me a flower, and Yakobi might have a ribbon that I could have. This is rather fun! So, I'm looking for anything that'll do for a anklet or choker for Abby at the house. So we'll have to see.

*Fae

As Fae's pen rested, she closed her journal and sat it down next to the paint brush where Pueblo hovered. She smiled at the wisp, and the wisp smiled back. Fae then placed the leaf she obtained a day ago in a more appropriate place: inside the night stand drawer where nothing else filled it. "We can store your quest items in here," she nodded.

Keilin steps onto the front porch of Fae's home, hoping she had the right address. She studied the exterior of the house, paying close attention to the swinging hammock to her left. It creaked along to its rhythmic sways, giving Keilin the feel of the house she was at being a haunted one. She gulped, reeeaally hoping she had the right address... and knocked, a small flower concealed in her cupped hands.

Bringing up the courage to speak, she also called out, "Faaae? Anyone there?" She stood a good distance away from the door in case it opened outwards and slam into her if anyone had opened it carelessly. This was her first visit to someone's house other than her own.

Luckily for Keilin, Fae and Pueblo were both upstairs sitting together and reading a book about another renessance artist. As soon as she heard teh knock on the door, they both looked up. "Oh, that must be one of them now," she smiled to herself and stood up to open the door.

Slowly the door opened and she saw Keilin. "Ahh, Keilin! I was expecting you. Here, come in, I'll make some tea. Make yourself comfortable," she said and guestered to the couch. "So how are you and Chata? Anything new since earlier we met?" The scent of green tea wafted through the house quickly as Fae poured the steamy liquid into two roundish green cups. "Here you are," she said and handed her one on a small plate.
PostPosted: Sat May 21, 2005 7:17 pm

She breathed a sigh of relief; it was indeed, Fae's house. Chata made a peeping sound from behind Keilin where he was hiding at and darted forwards into the house, taking care to not make anything fall over as he swooshed onto the base of Fae's couch.

As she sat herself down, Keilin took one hand away from her cupped hand and took the tea Fae offered. She closed her other hand in a fist, keeping enough space inside so the small flower wouldn't be damaged. She nodded in thanks and looked to Fae.

"Thanks for the tea - how'd you know I enjoyed green? I hate any other variety of tea, except for green tea. And, nothing new, nothing new... except - I found a flower for you, finally, Fae. Picked it out to match Pueblo - maybe it'd look pretty on her in her child form! Well... I hope it does, anyways. Would you like to see it?" she asked.

Fae grinned as she sat back down next to Keilin, then watched a little golden green blurr zoom by. "Green tea's my favorite, too. It was a very lucky guess then," she smiled and took a slow, careful sip before setting it down upon the table in front of them. "Hey Chata, Pueblo's up here if you want to..er..play. Just becarful not to knock anything over, too, please?" ^^;

As Fae left the book in front of her, she looked the page over about fifty times before looking back up to see Keilin. So..where was Chata? He usually hung around her, or was that Taranis? But as soon as she saw something dash in, she leaned over the couch to peer at the queztal-leapord formally known as Chata. "Saa!" She squeaked and waved with her fingers at him. The definence in her face was cheery when she smiled and her eyes got wider with eagerness.

As Keilin mentioned the flower, Fae sat up, quite interested and looked to her closed fist. "Ooh, yes, I'd love to see it please."
PostPosted: Sat May 21, 2005 7:40 pm

Chata's ears perked up, turning his attention to the wisp. He leaped up onto the couch next to Pueblo smoothly and waved his tail in the air vigorously and chirped in greeting. He circled around Pueblo, and once he had made a full 360 degrees around her, he rushed into the wisping edges of the bottom of her, turning around to face her back once he was behind her. His head turned to the book tentatively, wondering what Pueblo was reading about.

Keilin took a sip from the tea as well, savoring the taste - it's been a while since she last tasted it. Upon hearing Fae's answer, she lowered the tea from her mouth and cautiously opened her left palm. The flower lay there undamaged in the center of her hand.

"I hope it's... satisfactory," she said, looking a little nervous.

Fae's brows raised as Keilin opened her fist. "Oh wow...it looks so..delicate. I'm almost afraid to pick it up!" She grinned as she got up to get a small candle float bowl, shallow enough for the little flower to float in and not drown. She filled it with a little water, then placed it upon the table. "It'll survive in this," she said, holding it up to Keilin's hand so she could easily let it roll into the shallow water. "Thank you so much, Keilin. It's really pretty-what do you think, Abby?"

Pueblo shivered a little as Chata jumped around and through her. It was an amusing site, but she hoped he wasn't getting fruserated. As soon as her mother spoke her name, however, she glanced up and floated over to peer inside the bowl. A bright grin errupted over face and made movement to clap her hands. Looking back to Chata, she floated to him and pointed at the bowl. Go look at my pretty flower!

Fae took another long sip of her semi-cooled tea. "I think the flower will look very pretty on Pueblo," she said again and took another sip to keep her busy.
