Kai , in a show of his skills slipped his arm from the boys grip but, he didn't run away."I'm sorry, I don't have a choice." he whispered and with another show of his talent his leapt as high into the tree above him as he could get.He leapt back down moments later, changed fully into his animal self.He hissed loudly at Michael as his claws sank into the soil beneath his feet and he roared as he began to advance upon the group."Hand over your money or you'll pay the price.My children need that money to survive and I'm not about to give up on my target." he told them , his silverish wings laid as flatly against his back as he could get them.Their were far too many on his frame for them all to lay flat against his sides.

Aiji was shocked at the steal and was about to say something angry when Kai's animal form was shown. "I knew you smelt funny..." He wrinkled his nose slightly, as if trying to remember a scent. He scowled slightly at Kai, for once showing an emotion that wasn't puppyish. In all his concentration, his ears and tail popped out and it took him a minute realize it. He shrugged and left them.

"I'm not mean kid." Kai said as he changed back intohis human self seeing that none of them were scared of him."I don't have much of a choice in the matter.I've lived on the streets ny whole life, with all those other kids I gotta take care of.This is the only way I know how to live." he seemed to holdng something back now but he was doing his best not to let it show.His eyes were still flashing a pale blue that showed his sorrow and even as hard as he tried, his normally silver eyes showed what he was hiding.

Mizuko blinked "Are you ok? you seem so sad. Is something wrong? Are your kids sick? is that why your stealing?" he asked softly, coming closer

"All the kids are either runaways or they were abandoned as babies.me and the older guys in my gang don't have a choice but to steal.We teach the younger kids how to do it for themselves, but we always emphasize theft is only when you absolutely need it." he sad he pulled a rather thick black booklet from his pocket and opened and started flipping trogh the pages."These are my kids, all thirteen of them.And here are the older guys, five of them." he reached into his own pocket to see how much he had left and found that he only had a few dollars left."I don't even have enough money left to feed my gang tonight.And the kids all need new clothes so I'm really in a pinch.it's hard for A guy who grew up on the streets to find a half decent job in this city."vhe sighed heavily as he repleced his money into his pocket.His silver hair blew back a bit in a soft gust of wind and the black striped showed even more.The sunlight hit his pale skin as he stepped out of the shade and the dark stripe-like markings on his skin showed more.

Mizuko walked forward and leaned down to look at the pictures "there so cute" he said softly, looking up at Kai. he straighted and reached into his pocket "here" he said, holding out (randomly picks a number) 200$ and a expensive looking ring.

"You'd just give ths to me, after I just tried to steal from one of your friends?" Kai asked, slightly shocked at Mizuko's actions.It wasn't normal for people tojust give money to a thief, there had to be a catch."What do I have to do for you to let me keep this?" he asked, already having resigned himself to what most people wanted from him as a return for their money.They all wanted one thing,his bodyHe'd been used so many time for the sake of his gang that he knew the drill.He braced himself the words nonetheless, they always had that first bite when you heard them.

Micheal didn't move, he was atad afraid but would do anything but show it, watching the two for a moment he sighed and rolled up his left sleeve slipping two bills from the black belt around his arm, two 20's. He handed them to the new one glancing away slightly. "Here, I need the last ten and if you want to know why it's 'cuase an old friend of mine wound up in a gang himself being like those kids... Stealing wasn't all he did for money..." He couldn't help But give money after hearing the story, after seeing the pictures he was sure it was the truth he fully gave in

Kai carefully took the bills Michael handed him.He could feel that these guys didn't mean him any harm but he still didn't trust them."thank you." he whispered to Michael as he folded up the other bills that Mizuko had given him and stuffed all of it into his pans pocket.He needed a new pair himself.The ones he was wearing were old and worn and the waistbacnd was comig apart.He'd be surprised if they made it through the day.He heard Mizuko ask if he was hungry but before he could even answer, his stomach growled a bit loudly."Uhm, ya, I am hungry actually." was all that he said.
