it sucks.......all the gay people are tormented............but it really seems to be that the main on who picks on us is probably gay......how messed up is that?

Well, at my school, there are about 1700 students. So, it's pretty easy to find a group of friends that accept you. Being a band geek, I basically have a small family there. We all love each other, and they accept me for who I am. Sure they joke with me about it, but I make sure to joke with them too XD Not everyone is open to it... I'm in the IDEA (or very very advanced class) and one of the kids in the class was saying, "You don't choose to be black, but you choose to be gay." She obviously doen't know about me, but we get along, and I just forget to tell her about me XD She's not a close friend, more of a casual acquantience type of friend. Anyway, you get all kinds at my school, but the administration doesn't really care for gay people. My principal is an ex-cop. So, you can guess how he feels about it... (Given the fact that he's your stereotypical cop.) My school sucks, and I'm going to a different school next year that "Embraces individuality and diversity." So that will be good for me XD

There are a few homophobes and religous nuts in my school, but you'll have a few of those wherever you go. I'm still not fully out of the closet, but the people I've told couldn't care less.
There are quite a few gay/lesbian/bi people in my school, and I havn't really seen them being mistreated at all. My school is pretty tolerant.

I'm still not fully out of the closet, but the people I've told couldn't care less. There are quite a few gay/lesbian/bi people in my school, and I havn't really seen them being mistreated at all. My school takes gay/les/bi people as just a big joke. Mostly guys, they all call each other gay and kid around with it all the time. They, for some reason, think that its not real or that they will never meet a gay person. And if they did meet one, they'd either say 'Thats cool...' and accept it or make fun of you for it. My school really sucks. -_-'

Well, seeing that I'm homeschooled...it SUCKS!!! My dad always yells at me if I do anything wrong... crying crying crying crying I'm so depressed and sad cause my dad and my mom ignore me alot crying crying crying

Yeah sweatdrop I'm the only gay person who has come out at my HS. And, it's only bout 700 ppl. Some people care, but most don't. Then again, the ones who don't care are all girls. So yeah. High School SUCKS! stressed

My HS is crowded with at else some where around a thousand or over a thousand. Most of my friends don't know about me being Bi only a few of my friends know. The ones I knew would freak. If I were to say I was Gay they're to many sudents to point them out. I hate my HS everyone uses Gay as a insult, making Gay a insult is just pointless. Why not make any other difference a insult? Why are Gay people to have their name be a insult?

I've heard that people in smaller towns are often less accepting of it due to the fact that they don't see it all the time. Here it's pretty much the same as far as homophobia in small towns. Not to sterotype, but generally here's the small-town scaniro (in my region): Small town = rich population = republicans = a good many homophobes I consider myself lucky... I live in an urban area that's full of a big mish-mash of cultures ad lifestyles, so everyones pretty much cool with eachother. My HS has only about 1500-1700 students, but it's not the only HS in my city, there are quite a few others.

Amazingly yall are gonna love this
i was 17 years old when it happened my first ever guy kiss was with my b/f (whom i'm still with heart heart Happily) it was infront of some of the teachers and guess what They didn't do anything we even kissed one time when i was comming outta the princpals office ^^!!!! it was soo funny cause they did not do a single thing not even say eww or anything ain't that cool smile I LOVE MY SCHOOL!
