If you want to put edits that you have created into an edit collection thread that you have made, I will not say anything about it unless I happen to visit and see that 50% or more of the thread is dedicated to edits you've made instead of purchased.
Does that clarify things a bit more?
Nessy: Someone came in and made an edit collection thread. The main purpose of the thread was to get feedback on an edit the person had made and to advertise their own avatar edit shop that they were going to make. Thus, the update to the rules and FAQ.
Konami: Well, the thing is that there are other places more appropriate to get feedback and critiques than someone's avatar edit shop. ^^; On the flip side, it's not a rule. It's just a pet peeve of mine because I'm a stickler for netiquette. I mean, I'm a Nazi b*tch from hell when it comes to grammar and spelling, but you've never seen me jump all over anyone for not posting in proper English in this guild. And a few people have posted their own edits right here in the Chatterbox thread and I've never said anything about that either.
I updated the FAQ because of someone new who broke one of my rules and one of Gaia's rules in the first five posts she made in here. @_@ I wasn't targetting anyone. I updated the rules so that no one could do the same thing in the future and then plead ignorance that it was wrong. If no one had spoken up, I wouldn't have even realized that you guys were putting your own edits into your collection threads.

Here's the thing Meri:
I have a lot of my own edits...but that's only because I haven't purchased a lot from you guys yet. Eventually I'll have so many of your edits that mine will be a little section.
It'll probably just take time.
But...if you'd like, for now I could put in a link instead of the actual pictures until I've got a ton of your edits and it won't matter. I want to dedicate my thread to your edits, but I haven't been able to order that many.
But trust me, once I have enough money I'll have a lot.
For now I must wait...I have quite a bit of Simple Edits (now Premade) in mind. wink
Though I dunno if one is complex or simple...since I haven't written the quote yet because grandpa still hasn't given me a picture of a Navy Uniform. crying sweatdrop

Poor stressed Meri. You really are generous when it comes to what we can put in our AECs. Most wouldn't allow other edits from other places to be displayed, especially since this is technically your shop.

I'm going to update the FAQ again after I post this message and then I'm going to lunch. Any long silence from Meriko should not be construed as a pissy silence. *snicker* Why should anyone in this guild be forced to adopt my concept of what polite behavior is? I let people say the f-word in this guild. Why shouldn't I let them display their own edits?
No one change anything in their own threads.

I thought it was bad taste to advertise like that, too. It won't be happening in my case, though, since I totally suck at editing. sweatdrop I hesitate to even post my latest little efforts, simply because one is just simply pasting masks on the admins' heads from the image of them lined up behind the slot machines, and the other one I need to get resaved in another format and resized bigger, since Photobucket shrunk it.

Never display your own edits in any other avatar editor's shop (or your own bumps in a bump shop, or your own artwork in an art shop), be it a guild or a thread or a journal unless they explicitly state that you are allowed to. It can be construed as advertising, and that can get you warned by a moderator.

They should change, I would think, since it's an encoded thingie that changes site-wide, I would think. If they don't, then the ones on sale in the Market wouldn't change, either. 3nodding
