Kaleb spoke as he stepped in side where she could swear that the electricity in air went up another notch, it not only made him very comfortable but it made him feel like he had fleas everywhere and it was all he could do not to growl and stretch like a mad man. He decided he let Theresa do the talking namely because she was the one who wanted to come here and also because he really didn't want to talk to this woman

There's sat down carefully and looked Mrs Glass in the eyes. She did so calmly, but the look in her eyes held suppressed disapproval. She leaned forward into her forearms as she spoke.
"I hear that you encouraged my future daughter-in-law to go on a date with someone other than her fiance. I am confused why a mother would suggest something that quite obviously upset your girl." She said, nothing but sensible.
Alice held back. So she was going to pay a game like this? Well she would show the wolf queen she would not be beaten.
"Perhaps I was a bit hasty. I returned with a man I thought could ease the loneliness I could never seen to fill since Lark' s father passed. And this man I didn't know walks in, looking like he's going to war and my little girl on his arm." she swallowed loudly. "And then learning he was a -a-a..."

"A Werewolf." Kaleb finished for the woman, he didn't quite know what too make of the woman's sudden change in demeanor. It was hard to tell if this was a lie of was Alice begin sincere, it was probably a woman's mind game that was not going to even attempt to play. "But still why, question your daughter's choice?" he asked

Alice looked down a bit sullenly. "For one, a... werewolf... can't possible be a safe partner. You understand where I'm coming from right." She fidgeted nervously. "And the Prince came so far. I just want her to make the best decision for her future. This is the first time she ever been serious about anyone. I want her to be sure." she explained, and gestured helplessly.
Theresa sighed. "Yet, you ignored how crushed Lark looked when you pushed this man on her? That doesn't help anyone." she stated.
Alice looked away.

"I understand, but you need to understand that werewolves are not a threat to humans and Devon is the safest person for Lark even if he doesn't look like it. The boy is crazy about her, she has been in good hands." Kaleb said coming to his son's defense which did not happen often. Adrain having just woken up squinted in the light early morning, in his glamour from the night before on. His senses were alert as his sensed the two werewolves downstairs, what were they doing her he thought panicked, quickly glamouring himself and grabbing his sword he made his way quietly downstairs. Kaleb looked up searching for something that his instincts were alerting him to and what was that strange smell?

Alice rubbed her face, looking a bit lost. Inside she was calculating. She would have to agree to let this go. Let "Adrain" have his date and back off. She was hoping for more reason to be around her, but it seemed they would have to rush. And with the werewolves around, it would make things more complicated.
Subtle wouldn't work. Then she would play the siren.
"I can't go back on my word, but I suppose I convience tell the prince that Lark will not be taking him on his offer." she said. "However, I still can't quite wrap my head around this werewolf thing. I was wondering if I may talk to him alone tonight? I need to know some things."
Theresa was a bit hesitate. This all seemed innocent but the whole think seemed off. In a really bad and familiar way. But as hard as she tried to place the feeling, it slipped away.
"I'm sure we can work something out."

Lark yawned beginning to just wake up from her nap.Groaning slightly and rubbing her eyes in a childlike way Kaleb had really bad feeling all of a sudden and keep his eyes on the staircase he was so preoccupied with the shadows that took on a strange shape that he almost missed what the women were disusing. "Yes I think that would be best." He said distract before standing taking his mate's hand. "Thank you."

Devon was sound asleep in the chair, the book he was reading at his feet and his chin resting on his chest.
Alice stood. "I hope that settles your worries." she said with a shy smile. "I hope you don't mind, but I need to get ready for the day. If there is anything else you need, feel free to call."
It was a clear dismissal, if made politely. Staying would be rude unless they had a good excuse. And they had already said their piece. She she looked to her husband and nodded. Waiting to see if he would accept and leave too, or stay.
He looked very distracted at the moment. She stole a look in the direction he was looking at, trying to figure out what was there.

Lark smiled when she saw this and smiled wider when she saw the book that he had been reading, she got up quiet as a mouse and threw a quilt over him so he could be comfortable before she went back to the bed closing her eyes smiling. Kaleb turned his head and nodded at the woman, he took his wife's hand and headed toward the door never taking his eyes off of the stair case where he could swear he saw something gleam, like a metal of some kind if he had been in his other form his hackles would have been raised. Ash was on the stairs glamoured to be invisible so the wolves would see him and his and his mother's plan whatever it was now that she was talking to them was, his sward was unsheathed just incase the male werewolf stare unnerving, even though he knew the dog couldn't see him.

Theresa left with her husband, glad to be out of the house. It gave her the creeps, making her wolf want to growl and fight as if there was a threat.
"I don't trust her." she said as they entered the car. "We should havesomeone keep an eye on her.
Alice turned to her son on the stairs, seeing right through that spell. "That was risky, Ash. They were on edge as it is." she scowled.
She rubbed her forehead. "It seems we're going to move with the plan a little quicker than I hoped.

Kaleb nodded growling deeply. "We should do more than keep an eye on her, we find out who is in the house with her, someone was on those stairs and they were armed call Hector and his sons. The old wolf growled out getting in the car keeping eyes on the home with his hair standing on end. "What good son would leave his mother and queen unprotected from two lowly wolves." Ash said to placate her after reappearing and sheathing his weapon. "We would have to take her tonight, we are short on time as it is and besides I would like the chance to try out a new drug I've been working on.

Theresa nodded. "I'll get on that. And I think we should have Darryl on standby as well." She trusted his foresight. He was exceptional at thinking of thinks others found hard to guess might happen. "Now Devon just needs this dateto run smoothly."
Tatiana sniffed. "Noble you're action may have been. But you know I am beyond capable of talking care of lowly wolves." she said. She wasn't a Faerie Queen by being weak. She stood and placed her hand on his cheek. "No mistakes, Darling. This must go smoothly."
She kissed his cheek and left to dress.

"Something tells me he'll need more than luck tonight, in fact we should do some sleuthing while were at it." Kaleb said driving away from the house as fast as possible. Ash bowed. "I am well aware of that, but I saw no reason for you to get you hands dirty, when your assassin is here." he stated "Mother was there something special you wanted I to do with the girl after I gave her my drug?"
